“Go shower.”
At a moment like this, it’s easy to misunderstand.
“Huh?” Jiang Yule froze, then heard her calmly repeat—
“Go shower.”
Her tone was no different than usual.
Not giving up, Jiang Yule gently turned her face, seeing her usual expression, though her neck hinted pink.
Fine, she misunderstood.
Pouting, murmuring, “Want a hug.”
Glancing at her lips, looking away, chin resting on her shoulder.
Wrapping her waist, embracing, sighing contentedly.
Hands on her head, slowly rubbing.
Feeling shy, “Sister, this makes me seem like a kid.”
Lips curving, “To me, you’re already a… little friend.”
Laughing, “Fine, big little friend.”
Silent, stroking her hair.
So comfortable.
Like petting, Jiang Yule thought.
Embracing quietly, heart softening.
Sleeping in her arms seemed nice.
Drifting off, Su Yubai asked, “Walk outside, or movie?”
Snapping awake, recalling suggesting Fingersmith while moving, “Movie.”
“Yup.”
Rising slightly, “I’ll shower first.”
Watching, “Okay.”
Releasing her.
Grabbing pajamas, picking that new nightgown.
After showering, facing the mirror, spotting a faint hickey on her neck.
Cheeks flushing, recalling Su Yubai’s head buried there, tingling spreading.
Shaking head, breathing deeply, drying hair.
Brushing teeth, skincare, lip oil.
Emerging, seeing Su Yubai reading on the sofa.
TV blaring ads, loud, chaotic.
Unbothered, focused, Jiang Yule stared, unmoving.
Like admiring a painting.
Thinking of a floor lamp for the living room, a cool voice—
“Why not come over?”
Not looking up.
Laughing, “Eyes on your head, Sister?”
Looking up, scanning her nightgown’s exposed skin, the marks, looking away, “Your scent spilled out.”
Blinking, approaching.
Still reading, head down.
Shaking head, taking her book, sitting beside, “More fragrant now?”
Pausing, her body pressed close, soft, tempting…
Leaning on shoulder, laughing at her stiff posture, sneaky glances, “Why so quiet?”
“Hm?” Faint response.
Noticing pink neck, “Am I fragrant?”
Glancing at TV, “Yes.”
Hooking thumb, “Not showering, Sister?”
“Movie first.” Eyes fixed.
“Fine.” Sliding down, leaning on shoulder.
Seeming aggrieved, rubbing head, avoiding her gaze.
“System have your movie?”
“Nope, need to cast.”
Looking, “I’ll get laptop.”
Nodding, reluctant.
Suspecting skin hunger, craving closeness, too forward, she thought.
Returning, handing laptop, “You do it.”
On table, “Password, Sister?”
Sitting, “Yule2024.” Unlocked.
Desktop minimalist, dazed, “Browser?”
Pointing to folder.
Opening, using global search, no mainland restrictions, easy video access.
Entering URL, finding video, “Let’s watch remake Little Sister, saw original.”
Nodding, “Good.”
Thinking, “Work done?”
Amused, helpless, “Yule.”
Blinking, hearing, “Not now.”
This moment…
Resisting clinging, nodding, “Okay.”
Playing movie.
Sitting upright, too stiff, clinging too forward.
Tossing pillow, half-lying.
Glancing, coughing.
Looking, no move, focusing on movie.
Coughing again, ignoring.
Sinking into plot.
Her voice, not movie’s—
“Comfy lying like that?”
Flat tone, looking, “Pretty good.”
Quick glance, back to movie. Seconds later, another cough.
Sensing hesitation, improper posture? But home, just them, no big deal.
Immersed, murmuring, “So beautiful.”
Looking, “Get up.”
Confused, kicking calf, “So bossy.”
Foot caught, lashes trembling.
Skin tingling, cheeks heating.
Looking, “Bad for eyes.”
Reasonable.
“Fine.”
Not releasing, stroking ankle.
Squirming, touch gone.
Hand reaching, realizing—pulling her up.
Blushing, gripping, pulled up, crashing into her arms.
Hitting softness, dazed, hearing, “Better for eyes.”
Held tight.
Blinking, realizing—coughs meant nestle in her arms?
So subtle.
Focus lost, her tea scent, soft breaths, steady heartbeat.
Body stiff, hands unsure.
Su Yubai calm, focused on movie—except her hand, sliding from wrist to back, teasing.
Breath chaotic.
Struggling, adjusting comfortably, grabbing hand.
“Hm?” Familiar voice.
Teasing her! Time to tease back.
Pouting, scratching palm.
Caught, “Watch movie.”
“Only officials light fires, not citizens.”
“Yup, I’m bad.”
Seeing chin, kissing it, spotting hickey.
Shy, looking away.
Back to movie, classic scene, “Little Sister’s so pretty.”
Suddenly pinned, lying on her lap.
Spinning, kiss landing, hooking tongue, sucking, gone.
Unsated, blinking, hearing, “Next time, not like this.”
Jealous, kiss as punishment?
Focusing on lips, “What’s next time’s punishment?”
Adjusting collar, eyeing marks, “Wanna try?”
Sensing danger, “Sorry, Sister.”
“Oh, what’d you do?” Lightly.
“Wrong…”
Phone ringing, “Mom’s call.”
Eyes darkening, “Answer.”
