“Chengcheng, you are so audacious…”
Lin Shiyue murmured under her breath.
Though Su Cheng couldn’t hear the words, the shape of Lin Shiyue’s lips revealed their meaning.
A furious Lin Shiyue watched the two embrace and kiss, her anger flaring so intensely it felt as though an alarm were blaring in her mind.
Su Cheng tried to push Yin Xuelian away, but the latter held her tightly, deepening the kiss even further.
The photographer’s camera continued to click, capturing a series of shots, while a smile, growing increasingly distinct and triumphant, blossomed on Yin Xuelian’s face.
It was as if she were staking her claim.
Lin Shiyue’s laughter was as cold as ice, a contemptuous sneer twisting her lips.
‘Alright, alright, so this is how you want to play?’ she thought.
‘Fine, no problem at all.’
“Miss, how may I assist you?”
“Find me a strapless, off-the-shoulder wedding dress immediately.”
“Certainly, please wait a moment.”
Another store assistant quickly handed Lin Shiyue a white strapless gown, and without a word, Lin Shiyue rushed into the fitting room to change into the wedding dress.
Su Cheng was still posing for photos with Yin Xuelian, who, seizing this rare opportunity, naturally wanted to take many more pictures with her.
While Lin Shiyue’s arrival was unexpected, Yin Xuelian remained completely unperturbed.
Su Cheng, however, was in an absolute panic; she wanted to flee, to get as far away as possible.
Yet, before she could escape, she certainly needed to change out of the wedding dress she was wearing.
But any thought of escaping was futile now, as Yin Xuelian held her hand while, approaching them, was Lin Shiyue, resplendent in a wedding gown.
Compared to Yin Xuelian’s wedding dress, the one Lin Shiyue wore was no less stunning, accentuating her curves and ample figure even more, subtly hinting at a superior allure to Yin Xuelian’s.
It had to be said, women with well-developed chests truly looked beautiful in strapless dresses.
‘But now is not the time to admire women, Su Cheng!’
“Tell me, Junior Sister Lin, what is the meaning of this? Are you here to steal someone away?”
Yin Xuelian’s flippant tone directly provoked Lin Shiyue.
Lin Shiyue let out a cold laugh, stopping just before Su Cheng and seizing her other hand.
“Steal someone? There’s no need.
If you can take photos with Chengcheng, why can’t I?”
“Chengcheng, let’s take wedding photos too.”
Lin Shiyue smiled at Su Cheng, yet Su Cheng felt only a chill run down her spine.
Yin Xuelian gritted her teeth, tugging Su Cheng’s arm, attempting to pull her closer, while Lin Shiyue, unwilling to be outdone, yanked Su Cheng’s other arm, refusing to let Yin Xuelian take her.
“Junior Sister Lin, let go immediately.”
“You’re the one who should let go.
The photos are done; it’s my turn now.”
Being pulled and yanked so forcefully, Su Cheng’s small frame simply couldn’t endure it, yet this was not the first time she had experienced such a scene.
Su Cheng felt utterly exhausted, wishing she could just be split into two.
But she was deeply displeased; why were all her ex-girlfriends in this life tormenting her?
‘Damn it, are you playing pain-play with me?’
She could not tolerate it any longer; she had to change everything.
“I said, can you two quiet down for a moment?”
Su Cheng spoke in a low voice, casting a cold glare at both Yin Xuelian and Lin Shiyue.
“When you’re fighting, can you please stop constantly pulling at me?”
She paused, and seizing the moment while they were stunned and their grip loosened, she quickly pulled her hands back.
“Furthermore, if you both love taking photos so much, you two can go ahead and take them; I’m not participating anymore.”
Having declared she wouldn’t pose anymore, Su Cheng threw in the towel.
Yin Xuelian, however, was relatively fine, as she and Su Cheng had already finished their photoshoot.
Lin Shiyue, on the other hand, was miserable; the wedding dress she had just changed into was about to go to waste without any photos with Su Cheng.
“Chengcheng, just a few shots with me, please?
I went through all this trouble to change.”
“I’m not playing anymore; you two can play by yourselves.”
Lin Shiyue, who had followed Su Cheng to the fitting room, was still met with a cold shoulder.
It proved that when Su Cheng became resolute, Lin Shiyue had absolutely no recourse.
When the door opened again, Su Cheng had already changed back into the dress she wore upon arrival.

After this, both Yin Xuelian and Lin Shiyue changed out of their wedding dresses.
Yin Xuelian directly approached the photographer and bought the memory card, which contained all the photos of her and Su Cheng; she intended to collect every single one.
Of course, Su Cheng was unaware of this.
She stood outside the shop with Lin Shiyue, hugging a rabbit doll, looking utterly sulky as they waited for Yin Xuelian.
“Alright, alright, let’s go find a place to eat.”
Just as Yin Xuelian reached out to take Su Cheng’s hand, she found Su Cheng clinging tightly to the small rabbit in her arms, making it impossible to pry her grip.
Su Cheng’s face was as cold as frost as she said to Yin Xuelian, “Finding a place to eat doesn’t necessarily require holding hands.”
She was determined to resist, to become the master of her own destiny, and refused to be anyone’s toy.
These unexpected words left Yin Xuelian completely bewildered.
‘Had Su Cheng’s wings grown so strong that she no longer feared punishment?’ she wondered.
Lin Shiyue also tried to take her hand, but met with similar failure.
This was Su Cheng’s new strategy, dubbed the “Escape Plan.”
To escape the clutches of her ex-girlfriends, she had to give them the cold shoulder and gradually distance herself.
Ultimately, they could all become mere strangers, or perhaps classmates, or simply senior-junior acquaintances.
Su Cheng no longer wanted this trajectory to deviate from her expectations.
Although things had already gone somewhat awry, it wasn’t too late to mend the fence (TL Note: A Chinese idiom, ‘wáng yáng bǔ láo,’ meaning to take action after suffering a loss, better late than never).
“Little Chengzi, what do you want for dinner?”
“Chengcheng, let’s go eat Haidilao (TL Note: A popular Chinese hotpot chain).”
Su Cheng suddenly stopped and turned to look at them, her face devoid of expression, tinged with a certain coldness.
“I’m eating Luosifen (TL Note: A pungent Chinese noodle soup specialty from Liuzhou, Guangxi), you can eat whatever you like; you don’t have to follow me.”
Both Yin Xuelian and Lin Shiyue wanted to speak, but without exception, they were glared down by Su Cheng’s cold gaze.
The two exchanged glances; Su Cheng’s change was far too sudden.
So much so that they even wondered if Su Cheng had been possessed.
“Authentic Luosifen! Don’t miss it! How many, beautiful ladies?”
“One,” Su Cheng replied.
“Two,” Yin Xuelian and Lin Shiyue said in unison, exchanging hostile glances.
Su Cheng calmly addressed the front desk attendant, “Those two are together; they have nothing to do with me.
I’d like a Luosifen with braised egg, mildly spicy.”
“Alright, your Luosifen with braised egg will be fifteen yuan.”
“Little Chengzi, let me treat you…”
“Ding! WeChat Pay received: fifteen yuan.”
Su Cheng gave neither Yin Xuelian nor Lin Shiyue a chance, paying immediately and walking inside.
She didn’t care what they ordered; it had nothing to do with her.
Faced with this unexpected situation, both women were utterly bewildered, unable to comprehend what was happening.
Su Cheng settled into an empty seat, and soon Yin Xuelian and Lin Shiyue took their places, yet Su Cheng didn’t even glance at them, busying herself with her phone.
Yin Xuelian, sitting beside Su Cheng, found the atmosphere too strange and was the first to ask, “Little Chengzi, are you angry?
You seem a bit odd.”
Lin Shiyue also chimed in, “If you’re mad at me, I apologize.
Don’t be so cold; it’s quite scary.”
‘Scary? Good, that’s exactly the effect I want,’ Su Cheng thought to herself.
Su Cheng secretly gloated, her aim being to make these two behave themselves.
Otherwise, they would constantly be hugging here and kissing there, treating her like a doll.
‘Is there no justice? Is there no law?’ she mused.
‘Since there isn’t, then I will be.’
Su Cheng did not answer their questions.
Yin Xuelian grew somewhat anxious, while Lin Shiyue felt a pang of self-reproach.
It wasn’t until their three bowls of noodles arrived that Su Cheng finally opened her tightly sealed lips.
“Just eat your noodles properly, and don’t overthink things.”
As if under a command, both Yin Xuelian and Lin Shiyue buried their heads in their bowls, eating their noodles without uttering a single word.
Su Cheng secretly revelled in her satisfaction; the feeling of controlling them was truly wonderful!
