“C-can we switch to another one?”
Aunt Xia asked hesitantly.
Bai Hao, upon hearing this, gave a faint smile and countered with a question.
“What do you think, Aunt Xia?”
Aunt Xia fell silent, her expression twisted for a long time before she finally spoke softly.
“I am your wife…”
Bai Hao frowned and gave a playful slap on the butt of the seductive woman in his arms.
“Aunt Xia, speak a bit louder. If I don’t hear it clearly, it doesn’t count.”
Aunt Xia bit her lip, closed her eyes, and raised her voice slightly, repeating over and over.
“I am your wife, I am your wife…”
Bai Hao watched as Aunt Xia mumbled to the point of inarticulacy, and finally spoke with satisfaction.
“Who are you? And who is your husband?”
In that moment, Aunt Xia’s mind was spinning, and she unintentionally replied to Bai Hao’s question.
“I, I am Xia Zhouqiu, and my husband is Bai Hao…”
Bai Hao, seeing the alluring, naive expression on Aunt Xia’s face, felt his throat tighten. He leaned in and kissed her red lips.
It was late afternoon when Bai Hao finally left the room with Aunt Xia.
The cold wind from the hallway blew past, helping Aunt Xia regain some clarity. Remembering the recent embarrassment, she couldn’t help but blame her body for not cooperating.
“Aunt Xia, where are we meeting the old man?”
Aunt Xia opened her phone map and pointed to a teahouse called Half-Day Leisure.
“It’s this place. It’s not far from here, and we have plenty of time, so let’s walk there.”
Bai Hao nodded, as walking or taking a ride made no difference to him.
Just as they approached the elevator, an elderly neighbor returned from shopping. She noticed Aunt Xia and Bai Hao holding hands and was momentarily taken aback.
“Xia Zhouqiu, did you find a young boyfriend? He’s quite handsome!”
Aunt Xia panicked, trying to pull her hand away from Bai Hao, but he wouldn’t let her.
Reluctantly, Aunt Xia blushed and nodded, quickly pulling Bai Hao into the elevator.
Only after the elevator doors closed did Aunt Xia sigh with relief, her voice tinged with resentment.
“What are you doing? If the neighbors find out, Xia Wei will know too!”
Bai Hao replied confidently.
“Don’t worry, Aunt Xia. You’re so smart, I’m sure you can cover it up if Xia Wei finds out anything.”
Aunt Xia’s mood improved slightly, and she proudly puffed out her chest.
“Of course I can.”
With that, Bai Hao openly pulled the alluring older woman out of the apartment complex.
On their way to the teahouse, Aunt Xia suddenly realized a serious issue.
“Bai Hao, the old charlatan we’re going to see is also an abn—”
Bai Hao interrupted her.
“Did Aunt Xia notice I was an abn—”
Aunt Xia shook her head honestly, but she still felt uneasy.
She knew that if Bai Hao’s identity as an abn— was revealed, it could have severe consequences.
Bai Hao reassured her.
“Don’t worry. With my skills, I won’t be detected unless I’m seriously engaged.”
Aunt Xia was curious.
“So, what level are you at now? Are you at the abn— level?”
Bai Hao shook his head and chuckled.
“No, guess again, Aunt Xia?”
Aunt Xia was stunned, her voice filled with disbelief.
“Are you an abn—? That’s comparable to an S-level abn—!”
Bai Hao nodded.
“So, now that you know my strength, do you love me more? Not everyone has a husband as reliable as me.”
Aunt Xia didn’t argue. Her mind was still reeling from the shock. S-level abn—s were considered powerful even in all of China!
But this boy was only eighteen years old. Although the strength of abn—s and abn—s might not be directly related to age, there was still a significant correlation.
Soon, they reached the Half-Day Leisure teahouse, located in the bustling city center with its lively atmosphere.
Following the room number given by the old charlatan, they knocked on the door. A young woman opened it, her face clear and lovely, a true beauty.
The young woman was just as surprised to see them. A voice, somewhat aged but full of vitality, called out.
“Is Xia Zhouqiu here?”
An old man, dressed in tattered clothes, appeared before Aunt Xia. This must be the old charlatan.
Aunt Xia was about to greet him, but she was taken aback when the old man grabbed Bai Hao’s shoulder and said with a grin.
“Xia Zhouqiu is just as I imagined, so full of life! My disciple, Hongniao, is also very beautiful. You two are of similar age, and who knows, you might make a good match!”
The young woman blushed and stamped her foot.
“Master, please don’t tease me!”
Although Hongniao found Bai Hao handsome, she noticed he was holding hands with the beautiful older woman, who was like a fairy from a story, captivating and alluring.
Bai Hao gave the old man a stern look. If not for Aunt Xia, he might have kicked the old man out without hesitation.
The old man, oblivious to the tension, continued.
“How is this teasing? I have a knack for people…”
Seeing Bai Hao’s angry expression, Aunt Xia quickly intervened with a cough.
“Old charlatan, I am Xia Zhouqiu. You’ve made a mistake.”
The old man was stunned and momentarily confused.
“What do you mean? You’re Xia Zhouqiu? You’re a girl?!”
Aunt Xia nodded, still puzzled.
“I’ve never said I was a boy, have I?”
At least she was a girl now.
The old man was speechless for a moment before finally recovering with an awkward smile.
“Well, even if I got it wrong, I was sincere when I said those things. What do you think, young man, about my disciple?”
Aunt Xia’s face twitched slightly, wondering how desperate the old man was to push his disciple on others.
The most important thing was that Bai Hao was her husband! Yes, they had a legal certificate to prove it!
“Old charlatan, if you keep this up, I’ll leave. You can handle the rest yourself.”
The old man quickly waved his hand, ending the awkward conversation.
They briefly introduced themselves, but when the old charlatan learned about Aunt Xia and Bai Hao’s relationship, he was shocked.
After all, the age difference between Aunt Xia and Bai Hao was obvious, and it was more than just a sister-brother relationship.
However, this didn’t mean Aunt Xia looked old. In fact, she was incredibly beautiful, with a tall, curvy figure exuding a mature charm. Bai Hao, on the other hand, looked very young, almost like a true small white face…
