Chapter 67: I Only Belong To Noah

On the spacious bed, the girl hugged her knees, curled into a small ball.

She stared into the dark night, feeling her heartbeat grow increasingly frantic.

Painful, agonizing.

Her heart felt as if all its blood had been drained, leaving it hollow.

Whenever she closed her eyes, her mind filled with Noah’s smiling face.

But when she reached out to touch it, everything vanished.

That uneasy panic and intuition grew stronger, and Luoyao could hardly bear the torment anymore.

In the darkness, she sat up abruptly, threw off the covers, and went to the living room to put on her clothes.

She had to find Noah.

But before she took two steps, urgent knocking echoed.

“Luoyao! Luoyao, are you in there?!”

Anna pounded on the door.

Luoyao’s footsteps quickly followed from inside.

“I’m here, I’m here, I’ll open it—huh? Why… why won’t the door open?”

The lock made clicking sounds, but the bolt wouldn’t budge.

No matter how Luoyao pushed, the door stayed shut.

“What’s wrong? Is the lock broken?” Anna asked anxiously.

“It seems broken. What’s going on?”

Luoyao paused, then urgently added, “Did something happen to Noah?”

“Senior Noah, she… she…”

“What happened to Noah? Tell me, Anna!”

“She’s challenging Yelan on the Broken Moon Platform!”

Yelan…

Luoyao remembered that was Noah’s surname, shared by all vampires in the castle.

She was Noah and Huangwei’s mother, the dictator who set the taboo against vampires loving humans.

Luoyao didn’t know what had happened between Noah and Yelan, but if they were fighting on the Broken Moon Platform, it must involve her—the blood s*ave.

Her recent unease wasn’t baseless.

Something terrible had indeed happened!

“Anna, can you open the door from outside?”

“I’ll try. Stand back.”

“Okay.”

Anna stepped back, then charged, slamming her shoulder into the door.

The door creaked loudly.

Anna gripped the handle with both hands.

Xiaan helped from behind.

But it was no use.

The castle’s doors, crafted by master artisans of the last century, had intricate locks—a testament to ancestral ingenuity.

Once damaged, they locked permanently.

Anna, among the weaker vampires, couldn’t break the stubborn lock.

“Luoyao, wait, I’ll get help!”

Anna turned to Xiaan. “Find Huangwei, get her here!”

“Okay, I’m going.”

Xiaan ran off.

Anna kept tugging at the handle.

“Luoyao, I’ll count to three. You push from inside, I’ll pull from outside. Let’s try together.”

“Okay.”

The two girls pushed and pulled in sync, but the cursed door seemed rooted to the frame, unmoving.

“What do we do… what do we do…”

Anna clutched her hair in despair, tears welling in her eyes.

“If we delay any longer, Senior Noah might…”

“Might what? Will Yelan kill her?!”

Luoyao shouted, “Or throw her into the Well of Atonement? Didn’t Teacher Huangwei stop them?!”

“I don’t know… I don’t know, Luoyao…”

“We tried to make Noah stop, but… but she’s fighting with her life to protect you…”

“To protect your love. What do we do, Luoyao… If this goes on, Mother will kill her!”

Anna, young and inexperienced, couldn’t stay calm in this crisis.

Her words came out in sobs, nearly incoherent.

But from her chaotic words, Luoyao caught the answer she dreaded most:

Yelan would kill Noah.

“No… Absolutely not… Noah can’t die… Noah can’t die!!”

She stumbled back, staring blankly at the door, her face consumed by unease and panic.

Yet her heartbeat raced faster.

A nameless fury ignited within her.

Her breathing grew heavy and rapid, her hands clenching into fists.

“I won’t let her die. I won’t let her die!!”

In the dim room, her crimson eyes shifted, pupils narrowing into slits like a beast’s.

“Noah … Noah … Noah …”

Murmuring her lover’s name, she let out a fierce cry and charged at the unbreakable door!

Boom!

The door shattered, dust billowing.

The force sent Anna flying backward.

She lay on the ground, looking ahead.

A slender figure emerged from the thick dust.

The figure leapt onto the second-floor railing, then jumped down.

***

On the Broken Moon Platform, Noah was battered, consciousness fading, her face smeared with blood.

Combined with Holy Blood’s backlash, her body was on the verge of collapse.

She should’ve surrendered ten minutes ago—maybe she’d have survived.

But surrendering meant handing Luoyao over.

Noah refused to live with that humiliation.

As she told Huangwei:

‘If I must watch my love trampled, I’ll fight with all I have and choose death.’

“Sorry, Yaoyao… I couldn’t protect you… or our love.”

She lay on the platform, vision blurring.

The castle’s ceiling lights dimmed.

This was… the end.

Wait—

Was someone jumping from the second floor?

A small frame, long black hair, and cries filled with worry and heartache.

“Noah! Noah!”

She lacked the strength to turn and see the face clearly, but murmured helplessly,

“Jumping from the second floor is dangerous… little fool.”

The next moment, she was pulled into an embrace.

Feeling the other’s warmth and breath, Noah frowned slightly.

“Gently, gently… my bones are broken…”

“You said you were going for a walk. Why lie to me!”

“Ah… a walk… then Mother caught me in puppy love.”

“This is no time for jokes!”

Luoyao looked at Noah’s battered state, heart aching so much she was about to cry—

“Ah! I’m already crying.”

The last time Suyue stormed her house, Noah wasn’t this wrecked.

But this time… Yelan had reduced her to this.

Luoyao wiped her tears messily, then glared at Yelan, snarling through gritted teeth, “You b*stard! Don’t—touch—her—again!”

Her words brimmed with fury and hatred, almost spilling over.

If not for holding Noah, it felt like the little girl would charge and bite Yelan.

“The master’s a lunatic, and the blood s*ave’s one too. Does she know who she’s cursing?”

“Forget her being human—no vampire dares talk to Mother like that, right?”

Even Noah, fighting Yelan to the death, had only called her “Mother” throughout.

But Luoyao… straight-up called her “b*stard.”

Not only did the other vampires freeze in shock, even Yelan was stunned.

In millennia, no living being had dared disrespect her so.

Yet Yelan didn’t lash out.

She studied the audacious girl before her.

Her features, her face, the aura in her eyes…

“Too similar. She’s practically identical to Dr. Luo…”

Yelan instinctively reached to touch Luoyao’s face.

But the bristling girl shouted, stopping her.

“Stay back! Keep away from us!”

Yelan raised a brow, reining in her thoughts, and gave a faint, amused hum.

“Don’t get so worked up, darling. By the rules, you’re mine now. You should come with me—”

“Bullsh*t! Not a chance!”

“You—” Yelan, for the first time, was left speechless by a human’s retort.

“I, Luoyao, whether alive or dead, human or vampire, belong only to Noah.”

“If you force me…”

She tightened her hold on Noah, staring into Yelan’s crimson eyes with resolve.

“I’ll choose to die with Noah.”
