Chapter 7: Kongshan

Kongshan is the neighboring country of Yingchaga on the Luosheng Continent.

Thus the two share lips and teeth.

Yet today they face one another as enemies, neither yielding.

Three hundred years ago, their friendship was famous.

Within the country stands a great mountain named Mount Kongshan, towering over three hundred meters, magnificent like Mount Tai.

In the mountain flows a small stream named Mourning Water.

Though short, when gathered it forms a waterfall.

The waterfall is tall and impressive, admired by all.

The forest scenery is delightful to any visitor.

The history of the nation, among thousands, is relatively short.

Yet who says short means weak?

People inside and outside the region, all around the world, regard its history as long.

Why long?

Because its short history is densely filled with rapid development and many events.

In Kongshan history, no foolish king has appeared.

Later came the era of constant war, for its kings loved war, not governance.

King Maribari of Yingchaga allied with King Shijia of Kongshan, signing a treaty of friendship.

But their great-grandchildren tore it apart.

From then on, Kongshan fought not only outsiders but also Yingchaga.

Kongshan was fortunate, having no foolish king harming the world, but endless war.

Can a nation survive solely because its king loves war?

Do the citizens also love war?

Ha! It is only something laughable.
