“Your feelings?”
Meng Linna’s voice suddenly became a bit strange.
“Could it be that you’re actually quite concerned about it?”
Wah, this kind of question was completely hard to answer; whether affirming or denying it would make things feel weird, right?
With a slightly flushed face, Na Naya replied: “A little bit.”
“…”
Meng Linna fell silent for a moment; to be honest, she didn’t know how to respond either.
The longer they stayed, the more uncomfortable Na Naya felt; even she, who usually loved soaking in baths, had no choice but to get up early: “That’s it for today; I’ll head out first.”

The next morning, as per the previous arrangement, the chapel was to open today as well.
If it were a strictly managed chapel, they’d have to prepare to get up at three in the morning, then hold morning prayer before sunrise at four o’clock.
At least, in her previous life, Meng Linna managed the chapel that way; he got up very early every morning, but in this life, after leaving the monastery, she’d developed the habit of sleeping in—of course, this “sleeping in” was relative to her previous schedule.
However, this kind of morning prayer was generally a routine for devout monks; considering Yanan’s special circumstances and that the believers they recruited were mostly adventurers, the so-called morning prayer was changed to eight in the morning.
At this time, it was just right after the adventurers took on commissions in the guild, so they could come to the chapel to pray before setting off, equivalent to seeking good luck before departure.
It could also be considered more in line with Yanan folks’ traditions.
But since it was morning prayer, naturally, it needed a leading monk to guide the prayer; though in terms of status, this person should be Na Naya, without a doubt, Meng Linna was more proficient in this aspect.
However, it was already seven o’clock, yet Meng Linna showed no signs of getting up; the door to the blonde nun’s room remained tightly closed, and even pressing an ear to the door, no sounds came from inside.
This shouldn’t be; was Meng Linna the type to sleep in like this?
Yesterday, Meng Linna had gotten up very early, not to mention that before, she used to get up early to brew potions and set up a stall in the Adventurer’s Guild hall; Na Naya wouldn’t believe she was someone who liked sleeping in.
Could something have gone wrong?
Feeling a bit uneasy, Na Naya reached out and knocked on the door: “Are you up yet?”
No response, not even the sound of stirring awake.
The noisy voices of the adventurers next door only heightened Na Naya’s anxiety; she couldn’t help but reach into her pocket for her keychain.
As the nominal acting bishop of the entire chapel now, Na Naya had keys to all the rooms, including Meng Linna’s.
The lock was easily undone, but unfortunately, the room door wasn’t locked; Na Naya’s action of pulling out the key was superfluous.
Did this woman trust the security here that much, not even locking her door at night when sleeping?
Or did she trust me that much?
Na Naya didn’t think too much about it and just pushed open the door.
At a glance, the girl was indeed still lying in bed, showing no signs of waking up.
Na Naya walked into the room and chose to first pull open the curtains around, letting sunlight flood into the room.
The sunlight fell on the face of the oversleeping girl; though she didn’t wake, she still twitched uncomfortably a bit.
Na Naya stared at her sleeping face for a moment; golden long hair scattered messily over her body, adding a hazy beauty to the sleeping bombshell while looking disheveled.
It was like a disheveled beauty who, after an intense night, casually fell asleep in bed without even combing her hair.
Na Naya patted her own face to stop her wandering thoughts, then reached out to shake the bombshell in front of her: “Wake up; it’s not early anymore.”
“Mmm.”
Meng Linna rolled over and slowly opened her eyes, staring blankly at Na Naya.
After a while, she slowly spoke: “You’re Na Naya?”
Had she slept so soundly that she was confused?
Na Naya slowly said: “It’s me; you slept a bit too late, I was worried you’d miss morning prayer, so I got concerned and came to check on you.”
Actually, I wanted you to lead the morning prayer… Na Naya really couldn’t bring herself to say such words.
Meng Linna suddenly smiled: “Thanks for your concern; I just soaked in the bath a bit too long yesterday, so I overslept today.”
“Then do you want to rest a bit more?”
Na Naya thought, it would be fine if she led it herself, probably?
“No, I’m good now,” Meng Linna sat up from the bed.
“I’ll just tidy up a bit and head over.”

“Harsh Mercy!”
After a long and drawn-out prayer, the morning prayer came to an end, and most of the adventurers quickly left the chapel.
As it turned out, short and fast prayers like fast food were indeed more suited to Yanan’s adventurers.
Meng Linna was starving by now; after finishing the prayer, she couldn’t help but want to go grab breakfast, but she was suddenly stopped.
A male adventurer blocked Meng Linna’s path, his expression somewhat humble: “Good morning, Reverend; I am a believer in need of your help.”
Though a bit annoyed, Meng Linna still suppressed her irritable mood and said amiably to him: “Of course; what difficulty have you encountered?”
Na Naya noticed this too and, thinking there was nothing else to do, came over.
“This should be a proper chapel, right?”
The adventurer carefully chose his words.
“It worships the God of Law, right? Not those wild gods or fierce gods like the Forge God or the Color Domain God or anything?”
His words were obviously too offensive; Na Naya showed a bit of displeasure, her tone becoming a bit impolite: “Of course; this is a proper church.”
The adventurer didn’t mind the disdain in Na Naya’s eyes and instead showed joy: “Then, you should be able to provide the service I need, right?”
Realizing Na Naya’s attitude wasn’t great, Meng Linna, thinking one good cop one bad cop, asked warmly: “What do you need, may I ask?”
The adventurer, like grasping a lifeline, fixed eager eyes on Meng Linna: “Can you arrange a purification ritual for me?”
“No problem,” Meng Linna’s expression didn’t change, but she quietly took a step back to put some distance between them.
“Why do you need a purification ritual? Could you describe it a bit? That way, we can prepare the ritual items accordingly.”
Mentioning this, the man’s face suddenly showed conflict, and he slowly said: “During an adventure before, I was scratched by a wild monster, so I want to get purified.”
