In the Adventurer’s Guild’s definition, goblins were merely the lowest-level D-rank monsters, of course, due to considerations of strength.

It was said that stronger subspecies individuals might be born in goblin settlements, but in the earlier observation, the four hadn’t discovered any such existence.

In the face of absolute strength disparity, numbers couldn’t fill the gap between them; otherwise, the four wouldn’t have taken this commission.

“Shield Bash!”

The vanguard shield warrior Stone Fang easily blocked the arrows shot by the goblins while extending her crab pincer to crush the goblin in front of her; behind her, Kelly used her greatsword to swat away arrows while eliminating the surrounding approaching goblins.

Meanwhile, at the rear, Meng Linna continuously hurled lightning spears to snipe the goblin archers, while Na Naya beside her swung the Flame Giant Whip to lash at the goblins trying to sneakily take out the backline, simultaneously tossing fireballs with incantations to wipe out goblins.

“Using the power of flames to eliminate goblins is a bit of overkill.”

Though she couldn’t directly see the scene, the evil fire god possessing Na Naya still had a general understanding of the current situation.

Damn it, the Flame Giant Whip was a weapon made from a giant’s red hair; using it on low-level creatures like goblins was simply an insult to the giant race.

Though the flame giants were already extinct now.

“Mind your own business.”

Dealing with goblin monsters was far too easy; Na Naya still had plenty of leeway to chat with the evil fire god.

But this battle had nothing worth describing; it was completely one-sided, and soon the remaining goblins raised their hands in surrender.

“This…”

Though she had long known goblins were intelligent races, monsters that usually fought to the death with her actually choosing to surrender was truly shocking to Stone Fang.

The few stopped their actions and looked toward Meng Linna.

With their movements, the goblins easily identified the leader among the four; without a doubt, it was that blonde bombshell at the rear of the team.

If possible, they absolutely had to capture that woman and defile her viciously.

Even in this situation, the lead goblin couldn’t stop his ugly fantasies, drool even dripping from his mouth.

Though she found it disgusting, Meng Linna still decided to speak and communicate with the other side: “Can you understand my words?”

The goblin wiped his drool and nodded, answering in rough human language: “Yes, but what do you want to come here for?”

Meng Linna scanned the remaining goblins; under the four’s powerful assault, their numbers had dwindled to just over ten, no longer able to pose any threat to the four.

“The outpost you’ve built has completely violated our bottom line; it must be dismantled.”

Meng Linna crossed her arms, as if issuing an ultimatum to the goblins.

The goblins said somewhat tremblingly: “If we just dismantle this outpost, you’ll let us go?”

“Of course not,” Meng Linna shook her head.

“Where are your treasures?”

“This is of course…”

The goblin was still hesitating, but Meng Linna directly raised the holy bell in her hand.

A flash of lightning streaked through, and the lead goblin was pierced by the bolt.

“Don’t haggle with me!” Meng Linna raised the holy bell in her hand, as if warning the remaining goblins.

The remaining goblins naturally nodded repeatedly, swarming to lead the four toward the interior of the outpost.

“It’s right here.”

The goblins led the four into the storage room inside the outpost, filled with dried meats; just looking at the shapes seemed ominous—for the sake of her mental state, it was best not to think about what race’s meat it was.

Though she felt disappointed that the goblins’ treasures turned out to be dried meat and such, Meng Linna hadn’t held any expectations for these things to begin with; rather, what she wanted was to gather this group of goblins together to make it easier to act.

“What a shame; your treasures really don’t satisfy me at all.”

Meng Linna rubbed her chin with her hand; the smooth touch reminded her that she was no longer the scruffy-bearded man from before.

“You… what do you mean by this!”

The goblins still wanted to say something, but the vanguard group had already begun moving; just over ten goblins was far too easy to deal with.

“These guys are really poor,” Meng Linna surveyed the room interior.

“I originally thought that since these goblins could build an outpost, they must have some wealth foundation, but in the end, there’s nothing.”

“They’re goblins, after all,” Stone Fang wiped the blood from her crab pincer.

“To be honest, for a moment just now, I really thought Teacher Da Meng was going to accept their surrender.”

“Of course not; they’re monsters, after all.”

Meng Linna walked to the center of the room, where a massive throne was placed.

The entire throne was carved from a whole tree trunk; though the material was simple, the goblins’ small fingers hadn’t skimped on the details, carving quite a few obscene contents—likely the goblins’ dream of a paradise on earth.

But the biggest problem was that this damn throne was a bit too large; for ordinary goblins, sitting on it would be too wide and too big—judging by the size, it was probably for some individual with comparatively strong abilities.

Na Naya followed Meng Linna’s gaze and noticed this too: “This throne’s size doesn’t match ordinary goblins; perhaps there’s an even stronger subspecies here.”

“That’s right,” Meng Linna nodded, agreeing with Na Naya’s words.

“Perhaps it’s out hunting; we must be even more careful in the next actions—if the opponent’s strength is too great, we’ll just retreat.”

The group then began moving, preparing for the next combat plan; though the entire outpost was wooden structure, the wood in the forest might be damp.

They filled the gaps in the outpost with flammables like oil, and the few also set up an ambush.

The one responsible for igniting was Na Naya, who tightly gripped the Flame Giant Whip; as the only one in the team proficient in flame incantations, she could precisely control the fire in the outpost.

Time passed minute by minute; as the sun gradually approached its zenith, the sound of orderly footsteps seemed to come from outside the forest.

Had the goblins out hunting returned?

At this moment, the long-silent evil fire god suddenly spoke: “Saintess miss, do you want even more powerful flames?”
