“What are you talking about?”
Facing the words the evil fire god suddenly uttered, Na Naya couldn’t help but feel a tightness in her chest.
Why would the evil fire god propose something like this at a time like this?
“I’m in a symbiotic relationship with you now,” the evil fire god’s voice carried a hint of helplessness.
“If you die, I won’t fare any better.”
“So…”
Na Naya stood on tiptoe, trying to get a clear look at the leading goblin.
“That guy’s pretty strong; even from this distance, I can sense that intense power. With just your team’s strength, it’s probably hard to beat him, right?”
She got a slightly better look; the leader seemed to be a red goblin, undoubtedly much larger than an ordinary one.
But even so, it shouldn’t be enough to make a deity like the evil fire god feel tense, right?
“So what do you mean?”
“Accept my flames,” Na Naya seemed to see the evil fire god open its eyes in her mind.
“With my flames, you might be able to burn that existence to ashes.”
Na Naya hesitated a bit: “Those are an evil god’s flames.”
“Please note that I am the evil god you’re referring to; could you show me a little respect?”
The evil fire god’s voice sounded a bit displeased.
“At least don’t say it to my face like that.”
“Then stay out of it.”
Na Naya ignored the evil fire god and instead checked her system.
Unfortunately, the system’s points were pitifully few, making it hard to do much.
If possible, Na Naya very much wanted to cut ties with this evil fire god possessing her body, but at her current stage, she couldn’t; even the system lacked the ability to separate the evil fire god from her.
The evil fire god continued to persuade: “You really don’t need my flames?”
“At least let me test the opponent first.”
Na Naya glanced at the leading goblin a couple more times.
It was clearly an ordinary goblin—why would it make the evil fire god feel threatened?
“Then have a taste of hardship first.”
The evil fire god fell silent, no longer pressing.
Though she wasn’t very willing to believe the evil fire god’s words, Na Naya still said to the other three teammates:
“Everyone, be careful; I feel like the goblins coming aren’t ordinary variants—they might be much stronger than we imagine.”
“I see,” Meng Linna nodded.
“Kelly, trouble you to open a path in the rear. If it’s dangerous, we’ll just slip away.”
“Got it.” Kelly nodded and quickly set off.
Because of Na Naya’s report, the team’s atmosphere grew tense.

Lulida was the king of the entire goblin tribe; as king, he liked hunting, enjoyed the feeling of chasing prey and slowly crushing them.
Today, as usual, he set out to hunt, until the sun slowly approached the top of the sky, and Lulida, rubbing his empty stomach, headed back.
By the way, because they’d gone a bit farther today, the famished Lulida had stuffed the attendants who’d set out hunting with him into his belly.
It saved them a lot of walking—he really was a great humanitarian.
Lulida’s simple values didn’t allow him to think too much; he walked alone toward the outpost and then slammed headfirst into the gate.
“What the hell are the gatekeepers doing?”
The door-colliding Lulida instantly flew into a rage; he’d already decided that later, he’d grab today’s gatekeeper, crush him to death in his grip, and eat him.
The Meng Linna responsible for gatekeeping was currently nervously pulling the mechanism.
Though she’d long studied the mechanism’s operation, Meng Linna hadn’t expected pulling the lever to require so much strength; for a moment, she couldn’t pull it, causing Lulida to slam into the gate.
Carrying his anger toward the guard, Lulida charged straight into the outpost, only then noticing something off about today’s outpost.
Perhaps he should have realized outside that there were no goblins standing guard on the walls, but hunger and rage had long eroded his basic judgment, naturally causing him to overlook these minor details.
But now that he’d entered the outpost, no matter how dull, Lulida realized something was wrong.
The originally lively outpost had not a single goblin in sight, and faint bloodstains could even be seen on the surrounding ground.
Lulida’s small brain was still pondering when a heavy thud came from behind—the gate had been dropped by Meng Linna.
It seemed they wanted to shut the door and beat the dog; no matter how dull Lulida was, he could roughly guess his current predicament.
Lulida reached for the iron caltrop behind him, but a lightning spear suddenly whistled past, directly piercing his shoulder.
But he just shook his head lightly; an attack of this degree was no threat to him at all.
His small eyes searched around; he’d already prepared to tear apart all the assailants.
They’d wiped his tribe clean, huh? Lulida gripped the iron caltrop tightly, hatred surging in his heart.
Meng Linna’s lightning spear was like a signal; the four-person team instantly appeared before Lulida.
“It was you four who killed my tribe?”
Lulida didn’t rush to act; instead, he patiently eyed the four, as if searching for their weaknesses.
Meng Linna stepped forward, explaining in a gentle tone: “We were just passing by accidentally and wanted to…”
Perhaps it was a bad habit from years as a bishop; Meng Linna couldn’t help stepping forward when speaking, accustomed to addressing or conversing in front of people.
And now, Lulida had timed it perfectly, preparing to attack the team’s brain directly.
“Retreat!”
At the same time, Stone Fang raised her greatshield to block in front of Meng Linna, while Kelly grabbed Meng Linna’s collar and yanked her back.
Na Naya realized the battle had begun and simply drew the Flame Giant Whip to lash at Lulida, but Lulida suddenly leaped back a step, leaving Stone Fang and Kelly’s attack range, and instead directly grabbed the Flame Giant Whip lashing toward him.
She hadn’t expected the other to do something like this; not only did it stall the team’s attack, but Na Naya even had to wrestle her weapon back from his hand.
Both sides gripped one end of the soft whip, like a tug-of-war match.
But Lulida didn’t get bogged down; he knew he was facing four tricky adventurers at once—if he deadlocked with one, he’d easily be overwhelmed by the others, so better to strike where there were openings.
