Chapter 83: Going to the Demon Realm (2)

Parma Daig.

Hayden Jack.

Saulun Feathers.

The private soldiers of powerful families, known just by their names, arrived at the Demon Realm. The nobles at the forefront wore the symbols of their noble families.

They each made their own comments about the Demon Realm and looked around. Then, they encountered Emily and hurried over.

“We greet the Duke’s daughter. Your heart to realize noblesse oblige is truly admirable.”

“Nice to meet you, young lady. Is the Duke well? I was wondering…”

Dozens of nobles rushed over and spoke. I was dizzy just watching, but Emily nodded as if she was used to it.

“Let’s save the greetings for later, that’s not what’s important right now. Mr. Zig Prelt. Please continue.”

“Yes. My lady.”

Zig Prelt showed the map and guided her into the building. Inside, maps of the Demon Realm were plastered all over.

Our current location is the rearmost part of the Demon Realm. And each base is located at a certain distance.

“The report from the base closest to the Demon King’s castle says that the movement of the Demon King’s forces is suspicious.

So we secretly sent a few people who are good at stealth. According to the last report, some of the large-scale forces were spotted moving in groups.”

Emily’s expression turned serious.

“Then, is the force at the front base sufficient?”

“Yes. We always deploy a large force at the easternmost point.”

Actually, this is a base camp set up for those coming from the Empire and for supplies.

Anyway.

“We are sending troops from the middle to the easternmost point just in case they attack, but it’s still dangerous.”

Most of the nobles, including Emily, will stay here. The deeper you go inside, the stronger the magic becomes, and the risk of attack increases, so an experienced person will take command.

Most of the troops here will move to the outskirts to prepare for the war with the Demon King.

Emily listened to his explanation and nodded.

“So, for now, there are no problems.”

“Yes.”

“Then let’s move to the outskirts as soon as possible. If the eastern front starts to break through, it will be overrun helplessly.”

The fact that the Demon King is moving personally was revealed by Rachel. And in that situation, a large-scale force is gathering.

If the eastern front is breached, this place will be quickly overrun as well.

“I understand. Then I will relay the order to the support troops.”

“Yes. Then I’ll unpack my things first. Rachel? Let’s go.”

“Yes. Emily.”

I stayed close to Emily and entered the building.

Building installation is normally not possible in the Demon Realm, but it is possible here because it is the rear.

The place assigned to Emily was the 3rd floor of a certain building in the center. As the buildings were limited, many alchemists were staying on the lower floors.

In addition to that, most of those who came as support, like me, stayed on the lower floors, and nobles tended to stay on the upper floors.

I followed closely next to Emily and asked.

“What are you going to do now? You’re not going to follow to the battlefield, are you?”

“Of course not. I’ll just be a hindrance if I go. I just have to quietly cheer for victory from here.”

Emily can’t do anything more. Unlike me, who can at least make potions, Emily is talented in politics.

You can’t have a war of words with demons.

“Here it is.”

She opened the door and entered

A spacious bed. A room that is not cramped. Compared to when I lived in the mansion, many parts are lacking, but considering it’s the Demon Realm, I’m grateful.

“Rachel. Where is your room?”

“I’m on the lower floor. Why?”

“No. I was just wondering if we should use this together.”

“This one?”

It was a bed enough for two people to sleep in. I thought for a moment and nodded.

Since I came as her maid, it’s more convenient to assist her right next to her. Also, I can wake up seeing her face every morning.

I roughly unpacked my luggage and packed the alchemy-related items.

“Tell me if you need anything. I’ll go prepare the potions and check on the alchemists.”

“Be careful.”

“Yes.”

Anyway, if the border isn’t breached, monsters can’t come here.

Ah, there is one, but it’s not important, so I dismissed it lightly.

Look out the window.

Even now, hundreds of mages were sticking together and casting barriers. Since many nobles will remain, security is getting tighter.

Even I, who don’t know much about magic, could tell that they were all extraordinary.

There is no monster that can break through that and come here.

So I went down to the first floor and gathered the alchemists belonging to the Muelia Duchy.

There were a total of 47 of them. I had trained them before coming here, but I need to check periodically.

“From now on, each of you will make a magic resistance potion first.”

“Yes! I understand. Everyone, move to your positions!”

“Yes!”

The alchemists moved in an orderly manner.

At first, the eyes of the alchemists looking at me were not very good. Of course.

Unless the fact that I am the heir of the Poison King is known, from their point of view, I was just a Baronet who relied on Emily.

But after showing my alchemy skills, my evaluation naturally changed. Especially when I told them about a new potion that can resist magic and various new recipes, the treatment of alchemists naturally changed.

I went around and examined the alchemists’ potions.

Fortunately, since the difficulty of the recipe was lowered, there were no major mistakes.

“You need to control the temperature well in that part. Next, you need to add Alasia’s Tears at exactly 0 degrees, so be careful.”

I pointed out a few parts and examined the finished potions.

The effects were all good.

The fact that they belong to the Muelia Duchy is the same as being recognized as an alchemist.

However, the problem was speed.

About 10 servings are completed each time. To make enough for the entire Muelia Duchy’s expeditionary force to consume, the speed must be increased further.

“Let’s keep practicing. You know that even practice must have definite effects, right? All of these will go to the knights and mages of the Muelia Duchy.”

“Yes! I understand!”

I called Liela and asked her to supervise them. Among them, Liela’s skills were the best, so I trusted her.

“Next is here.”

The expeditionary force is not made up of only the Muelia Duchy. Numerous nobles will participate, and naturally, a large number of magic users will move accordingly.

In terms of overall ratio, the Muelia Duchy’s affiliation is less than 5%.

To make enough for all of them, only the alchemists belonging to the Muelia Duchy cannot move.

‘So I sent the recipe, but I’ll have to see if it’s actually being done properly.’

As expected, the potions were not being made properly.

“What is this?”

“Potion.”

“This is not the recipe I gave you to make.”

“We don’t want to listen to a noble who is not even an alchemist.”

Some of the alchemists from certain families did not even properly check if it was effective.

Some of them knew that it was effective and made it, but they thought their skills were better and modified it as they pleased.

This significantly reduces the effect.

The recipe I have now is a potion recipe made by many alchemists in the future.

It has already been verified in actual use, so what could be a more effective ratio than that?

‘But I don’t think they’ll listen to me.’

The fact that I saved Yona was kept secret. The high-ranking nobles know, but none of the alchemists under them knew.

Especially, alchemists are arrogant because they can use abilities similar to special powers even though they are commoners.

‘Come to think of it, Liela was like that too.’

When I first met Liela, she tried to slap me when she found out that I was a commoner with no power. Now that arrogance has improved a lot, but they are not.

“First, gather. I have received full authority from Lady Emily Muelia, so you should not think of refusing.”

Just in case, I even mentioned Emily’s words.

Then, the alchemists of each family grumbled and moved.

If I were a commoner like them, I don’t know. But even if I don’t belong to the peerage, I am a Baronet.

In addition, as I have a close relationship with Emily, they cannot refuse my orders.

Thus, the alchemists of each family gathered in one place, showing their displeasure.

There were nearly 1,000 of them.

And they haven’t all arrived yet.

‘It’ll be chaotic when the Prince comes.’

Since the Prince, who can be called the main force, has not arrived, there is still a long way to go.

I have to lead a thousand alchemists who obviously won’t listen to me. But this is not the end.

I sighed and continued.

“From now on, you must make potions according to the recipe I made. First.”

“Ah… what is that woman doing?”

“Ha. If it weren’t for Lady Emily.”

Complaints and complaints popped up here and there.

It was then.

Whoosh.

Red particles fluttered and a familiar woman appeared.

“Hello? Rachel. Long time no see?”

It was Armil.

Exactly what I said. Keeping it a secret is only going to lead to her being underestimated.

It’s not even as if she’s using a proxy to relay her orders, so everyone is going to know that she was behind these potions in the end, and she is bound to get an appropriate amount of fame from it. Hiding it is meaningless.
I hope Armil just says it as it is now.
