“Feel my flames with your heart.”

Then, Na Naya saw a fiercely burning flame deep in her inner world.

“Don’t resist; let me grant this flame to you.”

Though she knew the evil fire god was probably nothing good, at this moment, Na Naya had no choice but to endure silently.

That illusory flame, existing only in her heart, grew increasingly vigorous until even her right hand began to feel the scorching burn.

Na Naya panicked a bit, but the evil fire god’s voice soothed her.

“This is normal; next, I’ll temporarily take control of your right hand to break this cage for you. Your current body is too frail and can only accept this level of flame.”

If she just handed over control of her left hand to the evil fire god, he probably couldn’t stir up much trouble, right?

Though she had no choices left now anyway.

On the other side, Meng Linna was also trying to save herself.

Her right hand barely reached her holy bell, but Meng Linna didn’t choose to heal the wound first.

Since physical attacks couldn’t break the bubble, then magic it was.

Estimating the remaining magic power in her body, Meng Linna began calculating in her heart.

Water cannon wouldn’t work; though this magic had great impact, if it didn’t break the bubble, the resulting water flow would drown the two alive.

Lightning spear wouldn’t work either; using it in such a narrow space might just electrocute the two of them instead.

If so, she’d have no choice but to use the most basic holy law halo.

Meng Linna silently chanted the incantation in her heart, and a ring shape appeared on the holy bell in her hand.

Though the ring hadn’t fully released before colliding with the force field and vanishing, it hadn’t even exerted its full effect, but the result was obvious—

The holy attribute’s halo dealt massive damage to the force field at the bubble’s edge, even creating a tiny hole.

Though the hole was instantly filled, this still gave Meng Linna a sliver of hope.

Lulida, sitting on the ground on the side, had no idea about any of this; he just watched as the dagger fragments pierced into the two’s legs and couldn’t stop clapping his hands.

“You can struggle all you want; I just love watching others on the brink of death.”

Meng Linna said nothing, just pondering how to maximize her output.

Only by breaking the force field could she attack the bubble itself, so she had to seize the opportunity to escape.

She couldn’t help looking at Na Naya; if she used divine spell while having the other launch an attack too, they could pierce the bubble, right?

But at this moment, Na Naya had no leeway to heed Meng Linna; she only felt like her right hand was about to burn off.

Under the evil fire god’s control, the Flame Giant Whip had somehow been gripped in her hand and was now emitting scorching flames.

Meng Linna, pressed tightly against her, also sensed something wrong; the heat from the left hand made her want to recoil involuntarily.

Noticing the anomaly, Meng Linna couldn’t help asking, “What are you doing?”

“Trying to escape,” Na Naya only felt her consciousness swaying a bit.

“Just like this.”

Though Na Naya hadn’t explained in detail, Meng Linna realized her idea—use flames to burn through the force field.

Though the cost would be burning herself too, the two couldn’t care about that much now.

Realizing Na Naya had already started acting, Meng Linna had no way to stop her and could only struggle to pass the holy bell to her left hand, preparing to cooperate in opening the force field.

The problem was that the Flame Giant Whip in Na Naya’s hand was growing hotter and hotter; Meng Linna even felt like her left hand was about to catch fire.

This wasn’t the time to mind such things; Meng Linna gripped the holy bell and slowly urged her magic power.

The evil god flames had already burned open the force field attached to the bubble’s surface, and Meng Linna’s halo timed it perfectly for when the force field hadn’t reformed yet, successfully piercing the bubble.

Without the bubble’s restraint, the two who had been huddled together instantly lost the surrounding pressure and tumbled to the ground.

“Ha.”

Falling flat on the ground, though pinned under Na Naya, Meng Linna still breathed a sigh of relief for temporarily escaping death.

“Gah?”

Lulida on the side widened his eyes; he truly hadn’t expected the two to escape the bubble.

Now wasn’t the time for hesitation; Na Naya flipped over and stood up, and under the evil fire god’s control, the Flame Giant Whip in her hand continued burning, the flames even growing fiercer.

If I hadn’t held back a bit, that woman’s left hand would’ve been charred to coal long ago,” the evil fire god seemed to feel the situation was fully in his grasp now and began nagging in Na Naya’s mind.

“You should thank me; I’m considering your future life like this.”

“You might as well have just burned that woman’s hand right off,” Na Naya retorted a bit pettily.

“I don’t like her anyway.”

“Such a tsundere.”

Seeing Na Naya rise to confront Lulida, Meng Linna chose to raise her holy bell and use the halo to pierce the bubble binding Stone Fang and Kelly.

Her magic power was depleted anyway; she had no role left next.

“Don’t think escaping the bubble makes you impressive! I, King Lulida, can still smash you flat!”

With that, the goblin heavily raised the iron caltrop in his hand.

At this moment, Na Naya felt extremely odd; since control of her right hand had temporarily been yielded to the evil fire god, she now couldn’t manipulate it at all and could only pick up the holy seal in her left hand to prepare for battle.

You handle positioning; I’ll attack,” the evil fire god’s voice rang out again.

“A few whips will settle this guy; you just dodge his attacks and get close.”

Considering the evil fire god truly had no reason to sabotage her, Na Naya gave up on using the holy seal to fight and focused solely on dodging the goblin’s attacks.

“Annoying like a rat.”

If it was just pure dodging, Lulida’s cumbersome iron caltrop indeed struggled to hit Na Naya; just as Na Naya was about to close in, Lulida unleashed a heavy horizontal sweep.

Na Naya bent to dodge the sweep, and at the same time, the evil fire god controlled her right hand to whip at Lulida.

The goblin instinctively raised his shield to block, shouting, “You foolish idiots, you don’t think an attack like this works on me, do you?”

A purple light flashed, and the Flame Giant Whip in Na Naya’s hand was tightly sucked onto the goblin’s shield, as if magnetized, completely refusing to let go when she tried to pull it back.
