“1 million won, easy.” I smiled, looking at the 100 mana stones in my Inventory. Once I exchanged these, I’d be a millionaire.

“Let’s go.” Excited, I flew towards the Gate entrance.

“What’s that noise? And the smell of blood?” My enhanced senses picked up something wrong. Screams and the stench of blood were coming from the Gate entrance, where there should only be E-rank Meadow Wolves.

“Don’t tell me…” A sense of foreboding washed over me. I flapped my wings harder, speeding towards the entrance, preparing for a fight.

“Why is the boss at the entrance?!”

“Is that really a D-rank? It moves like a C-rank!”

The Hunters were gathered at the entrance, fighting a single mana beast. The Wolf King, a D-rank boss.

“Was the Wolf King always this big?” The Wolf King I saw online was only about 5 meters tall. And…

“It looks different too.” The online image showed silver fur and black eyes. This Wolf King had black fur and red eyes.

“…” Something was wrong. And…

“Disgusting.” The sight of the Wolf King filled me with revulsion. I didn’t know why, but I knew I had to kill it.

So, they cheered. The angel who attacked the monstrous wolf. They believed Yoohyun was a savior sent by God to deliver judgment.

And events unfolded just as they hoped.

I pulled out the Holy Sword, retreated with a flap of my wings, and cast the spell. Ten arrows of radiant light shot towards the Wolf King.

“Grrr!” Ignoring the pain in its side, the Wolf King swatted and bit at the incoming arrows, managing to destroy seven. The remaining three embedded themselves in its shoulders and back.

“Grrrr!” Another wave of agonizing pain. This was different from the stings of human weapons, which barely registered and healed instantly. The angel’s attacks were excruciating and showed no signs of healing.

It felt like facing a natural predator, an insurmountable foe. Fear, a sensation the Wolf King had never experienced in its life as an apex predator, coursed through it.

“Grrr…” Trembling, it backed away. Its instincts screamed at it to flee from the angel who could easily kill it.

“Awoooo!”

The Wolf King howled, releasing a Fear-inducing, mana-infused roar, and fled.

“Ugh…!”

“I-I can’t move!”

“Oh, Angel! Please, save us! Deliver judgment upon that beast!”

Paralyzed by the Fear, the Hunters watched helplessly as the Wolf King retreated, then looked up at Yoohyun, who stood unscathed, hovering in the air.

“Not a chance.”

Flick. He flicked the Wolf King’s blood off his Holy Sword and assumed a throwing stance, channeling mana into the blade.
