Chapter 6: Fury

Thump! The young master fell to the ground with a thud, his entire back burning with pain. Unable to get up for a moment, he cried out:

“Hey classmate… listen to me first… I have something to say!”

Seeing him beg for mercy, Shi Yue was startled and instinctively stopped, wanting to hear what he had to say. Suddenly, he bared his teeth, took a deep breath, and roared as he lunged at Shi Yue again!

Shi Yue’s pupils contracted, and she immediately took a step back, spreading her legs apart, grabbing one of his arms with both arms, twisting her body and lifting him up with her back, throwing him solidly to the ground with an over-the-shoulder throw, and punching him in the face several times.

“Move again?!”

“I was wrong, please stop hitting me…”

The rich kid felt excruciating pain all over his face and body, unaware of the numerous bruises beneath his clothes, and his vision blurred. Slowly regaining his senses, he saw his brothers’ corpses lying haphazardly, and Shi Yue’s wrinkled trouser legs standing in front of his face. He looked up and met Shi Yue’s eyes.

“I was wrong, I was wrong… I was wrong! Please don’t kill me…”

He was trembling all over, his mind blank, only his mouth automatically repeating various pleas for mercy. He couldn’t understand how things had turned out this way, and his mouth didn’t stop for a moment:

“Classmate… Sister… Sister! You’re my own sister… Please spare my life… I… I… I have money! Yes, my dad’s a businessman… You know that Jin, Jin Koi Group, right? And my maternal grandfather, the… Dean of the Provincial Hospital! Sister… Sister!”

He suddenly grabbed Shi Yue’s trouser leg, pleading repeatedly:

“Sister!!! Spare my life, and you’ll be my sister from now on! Wait, wait until I finish university… I’ll bring you into my dad’s company… Ah, my grandpa… You can become an official under my grandpa after you graduate! Believe me, my whole family will never forget your great kindness! Just spare me this once… I’ll give you anything!”

“From now on, I’m your little brother. Just tell me who you want to beat up, and I’ll make them come right up to you…”

Before he could finish speaking, Shi Yue suddenly punched him, causing half of his face to twist to one side and blood to gush from between his teeth.

“Sister…please spare me…”

Shi Yue remained silent. The words her father had spoken to her on the day they moved were echoing in her mind:

“Never provoke trouble. If you encounter problems in the future, avoid them and let them pass. If someone bullies you, just bear with it if it’s not too outrageous. Just finish your studies. Only by studying can you make a name for yourself in the future. We ordinary people can’t afford to cause trouble. Just live your own life well and never, ever care about what others are doing.”

She remembered that her father wasn’t always like this. When she was little, he loved practicing martial arts, and even with his limp, he taught his daughter, especially emphasizing the importance of integrity and pioneering spirit. But that incident probably hurt him too deeply…

Ah no, maybe this is right. It was my father and I who were wrong to yearn for chivalrous deeds.

But no matter what, she couldn’t stand this guy anymore. His mention of these things only fueled Shi Yue’s rage. She grabbed him by the collar and punched him in the face again, offering no explanation, leaving him trembling and clutching his swollen cheek. The dim light illuminated his pale face, and his pleas for mercy never ceased.

“Let me go…”

“I really know I was wrong…”

“Please forgive me this time…”

Shi Yue suppressed her anger for the time being and asked in as calm a tone as possible, “Why did you want to kill me?”

“ah?”

The young man immediately realized something and hurriedly explained, “No…it wasn’t me who noticed…it was those two people…oh right, I know where they live. I’ll take you to them, I’ll show you the way right now…”

“They are dead.”

“ah……”

“Answer my question, then it’s your turn.”

Are they dead?

My turn?

The young master felt a chill run through him in an instant. He immediately realized that Shi Yue probably had no intention of letting him go; she just wanted to see him break down and beg for mercy.

“You, you f*cking…you killed so many people…you…”

The rich kid trembled, then suddenly roared, clenching his fist and pounding the ground, his face gradually becoming crazed: “You’re dead, you know that?! You’re finished! How many have you killed? Counting those two, there are four more over here…”

Five.

“…Five, haha…seven people. You killed all seven of us. You had your fun, didn’t you? Did you think about the consequences?! Do you know what happens when you anger my father—”

Thump! Shi Yue punched him again: “Why did you want to kill me?”

“Hehe… Is it wrong to act impulsively? Weren’t those two acting impulsively too? Aren’t you acting impulsively now? Everyone has moments of impulsiveness!”

“…If you hadn’t killed me then, I wouldn’t be acting impulsively now. Don’t you know that murder is punishable by death?”

Upon hearing “pay with one’s life,” the young master suddenly burst into laughter: “Pay with one’s life? Haha, you’re going to make me laugh to death! My maternal grandfather is the president of the provincial court, my mother is a chief judge of the municipal court! The police chief of Huangzhou City and my father used to be close friends when they were young! Several bureau chiefs in Huangzhou are waiting for my father to help them make money. Do you think they would let my father’s only son pay with your life? And those who wield the pen, do you know that two newspapers in Huangzhou have received investment from the Koi Group? Do you believe that even if I really killed someone, they could claim it was self-defense? That girl died that night too. Do you think her family would dare to ask me for their lives? They’d be more likely to avoid me even as a ghost!”

Shi Yue suddenly remembered that this young master had initially gone to help his classmate bully that girl. Shi Yue didn’t know what the conflict between them was, nor was she interested. However, when he mentioned that the girl had died that night, she couldn’t help but feel a little curious.

“How did that female classmate die? Did you kill her?”

“Hmph, more or less… I took her, that very night, with two buddies, and filmed some footage. But that woman was so ungrateful; she wouldn’t take the money I offered her?! Ugh, she cried and screamed, threatening to sue me. I’ve never encountered such an ungrateful person before. I had no choice but to be honest with her, telling her that reporting to the authorities was useless, exposing me was useless, and I wasn’t afraid of her fighting to the death. Hmph, if she accepts the money, it’s consensual, a peaceful resolution; if not… I have plenty of ways to deal with her!”

He took a breath, rallied his spirits, and said smugly:

“You know what, she was actually fooled. She obediently took the money and begged me not to harm her parents. I told her that as long as she took the money and didn’t say anything bad when she got home, we could still keep in touch. And guess what? The next day when I went to school, she actually came to my classroom door early in the morning and hanged herself!”

“Hahaha, to find someone willing to die to prove their innocence in this day and age, I’d almost like to erect a memorial arch for them! Hehe. I’m not afraid of what happened to her, because she took my money, so it was consensual, and besides, I didn’t directly kill her. What I was most afraid of was your body being recovered, because I was the one who killed you, and there are two witnesses. Even if this were exposed, my mother couldn’t acquit me…”

“…You’re saying she hanged herself?”

“Yes, what’s wrong?”

After a moment of hesitation, Shi Yue lifted her leg and walked around behind the young master, sat down against the wall, put one arm around his arms, clamped her legs around him, and wrapped her right arm around his neck.

She decided to hang him.

“What…what are you doing? You really want to kill me?! I’ve told you so much and you still want to kill me? Didn’t you hear what I said? My dad is Qian Xuwen, the chairman of the Jinli Group!!! My mom is a judge in Huangzhou City, my maternal grandfather is the president of the provincial court, I, I—”

Shi Yue got annoyed by his noise and punched him, knocking out his front tooth.

“Shut up.”

No matter how much he struggled, Shi Yue only tightened her arms until he could no longer breathe through his nostrils before she stopped.
