Himan hadn’t slept a wink last night.
She was stewing in silent anger, unable to rest.
She thought for a long time, trying to figure out why Hall had turned out this way.
It was one thing to be a womanizer, but now he didn’t even care that he was being used by a female spy.
He truly had no regard for noble honor or national security.
As the son of one of the empire’s six admirals, both his Faxtius family and her own bore the heavy responsibility of defending the Papal State’s borders.
But that guy Hall, did he not have even a shred of crisis awareness?
Previously, Himan thought Hall was just too laid-back, which was why he acted this way.
But after seeing his words to Yafman yesterday, she felt the opposite.
If the female spy hadn’t taught Hall how to respond, then he was knowingly committing the offense.
Moreover, if the female spy had taught Hall how to respond, then Hall should have realized the woman’s malicious intent.
He wouldn’t listen to her, his cousin, but he would listen to an outsider.
She couldn’t sleep all night.
As a high-achieving student, she wouldn’t skip her university classes, so she just put on some makeup this morning to cover up her dark circles before heading out.
“Are you alright, Miss Himan?”
A blond-haired noble young man next to her suddenly asked with concern.
This young nobleman was named Lenny.
Compared to the admiral and duke backgrounds of Himan and Faxtius, his was a bit lacking.
His father was only an Earl.
But that was still enough to place him above most people in the classroom.
“I’m fine, Lenny.”
Himan replied indifferently.
Because of Hall’s past actions, she wasn’t particularly fond of men who were overly attentive, feeling that most men who approached her had ulterior motives.
To put it simply, she had a bit of a misandrist streak.
She then glanced at Hall again, certain that he had been thinking about something when he entered the classroom and met her gaze just now.
But now he walked past her as if nothing had happened.
This guy, Hall…
Ever since they grew up, he had never known to show her the same concern as men like Lenny.
If he was willing to show her some genuine care, she wouldn’t be against satisfying his little quirks.
After all, he had gotten his way with her when they were children.
“Hey, Hall.”
Seeing the young man in the custom-tailored suit about to take his seat, Himan called out to him.
“What is it?”
Hall glanced at Himan faintly.
‘This woman isn’t going to continue yesterday’s…’ he thought.
“Have you thought about what happened yesterday?”
Himan had intended to start with another topic, but as soon as she spoke, her tone became serious and admonishing.
“I have.”
Hall’s reply was perfunctory and quick.
This made Himan even angrier.
She was clearly concerned about him, worried about his family getting into trouble.
Yet this guy was so ungrateful.
“Fine, Hall, I won’t bring this up again…”
Before she could finish, she saw Hall nod again.
“Good.”
Now, Himan was really about to explode.
Her cousin, there was absolutely no need to worry about him.
Fine, whether he lived or died was none of her business.
If Hall wanted to court death, let him.
But Hall felt that this kind of unnecessary worry was better kept to a minimum.
Concern without any trust, purely based on imagination.
It didn’t make one feel cared for at all.
The first class every morning at Holy Light University was usually an etiquette class, where students were provided with free pastries and delicate refreshments.
The instructors were often from the personnel departments of various government agencies of the Papal State.
This was to lay the groundwork for these elites who would directly serve the Papal State in the future.
It was quite boring.
Hall didn’t like reading the etiquette textbooks, but eating something was nice.
As he ate, he recalled the luxurious setting of Holy Light University.
In the game, Holy Light University was the first university in the entire Western Continent.
Before it, schools were usually just called academies, such as sword academies, magic academies, steam academies, royal academies, and seminaries.
The reason Holy Light University became the first university in this world was because it integrated a vast amount of teaching resources from the entire Papal State, and even the entire Western Continent.
It couldn’t be helped.
The Papal State was the core of the Western Continent.
The Holy Church was spread across the five nations of the Western Continent, controlling a large number of believers, and was the closest to the Eastern Continent.
It could be called the center of the world.
The Demon God’s palace, which once ruled the Western Continent, was also located here.
It was top-tier in economy, politics, magic, swordsmanship, fashion, and theology, and even possessed top-tier technology like the Holy Train, which almost crushed the rest of the world.
Anyone with ability and ambition would come to the Papal State to seek opportunities, let alone the capital, Saint Louis.
It was practically a chaotic dance of demons.
Players often said that if you felt the game wasn’t as hard or grindy as it was made out to be, you should go open up Saint Louis.
The map full of red dots would guarantee you wouldn’t be able to sleep from Monday to Monday.
Hall had also grinded for a long time back then, and now he couldn’t remember the full details of all the quests.
But what he could confirm was that besides Himan, his younger sister, and his older sister, there were several other very important heroines in Saint Louis.
They accounted for almost half of the main female characters in the entire game.
‘I still have to find a way to get out of here first.’
Everyone in the Western Continent would be thinking about how to come to Saint Louis to work, but Hall’s idea now was to get out of Saint Louis and find a second-tier city with plenty of beautiful women and decent infrastructure to retire in.
So Hall picked up the course schedule.
The course schedule of Holy Light University was less of a schedule and more of an encyclopedia that you could write in yourself.
After flipping through it, he found information about the Black Knights Order where he currently served.
“Taking an internship outside as a captain of the Black Knights Order can also earn me credits and GPA to graduate smoothly.”
This was the best solution he could think of at the moment.
“After today’s classes are over, I’ll report to the Knight Order and see if there are any long-term overseas assignments.”
Hall began to plan his recent life in a notebook.
As an excellent game guide blogger in his previous life, planning resources and time was his habit.
He also recalled the game’s plot along the way.
It was best to write down all the information he could remember to prevent future forgetfulness, which could lead to missing important plot points and causing his death.
And Himan was sitting on Hall’s right side.
She was staring at Hall, somewhat dazed.
Originally, she was just looking at Hall out of anger, wanting to give him another look of disapproval.
But then she found that Hall was uncharacteristically serious today.
‘Reviewing his lessons?’
She didn’t think so.
Hall was simply not the type to study diligently.
But today, the way her cousin wrote with a quill pen was so serious, even…
somewhat handsome.
His appearance was indeed the type that could win the favor of girls.
Otherwise, before his reputation was ruined, Hall wouldn’t have been able to hit on so many noble young ladies.
But Himan usually felt that she had long since gotten used to this wretched face.
So why now…
There was a slight ripple in her heart.
Was it surprise?
‘Heh…’
‘Don’t be fooled by him.’
‘He’s definitely memorizing things to deal with the Judgment Bureau’s future investigation.’
And he came to class right on time today.
Maybe he had met with that female spy before this.
This guy, Hall.
‘He must have started taking notes so seriously after receiving instructions from the female spy, intending to deal with the upcoming investigation.’
‘Damn it.’
She had advised him to study hard and be a normal nobleman, to serve the Papal State in the future, but this cousin of hers never listened.
As she thought about it, Himan’s blood pressure rose again!
She suddenly felt that her status in his heart was not even one-tenth of that female spy’s.
