Chapter 5: The Princess’s First Encounter with the Knight

Salna Village, in the game from her past life, was one of the starting points for players.

The seemingly peaceful novice village actually concealed a hidden storm.

In her past life, a player who was a devout follower of the “Ten Li Slope Sword God” philosophy completed all the villagers’ quests.

Just as he was about to leave the novice village, the village chief stopped him and handed him an invitation.

The invitation was to a banquet at the village chief’s house at dusk the next day.

Realizing this was a hidden quest, the player gladly accepted, and he became the very first player in the entire game to come into contact with the Order of the End.

The Order of the End was the religious organization that worshipped Nastasia.

According to that player, Salna Village seemed to be the starting point of the Order of the End, and everyone in the village was a follower of Nastasia.

Of course, the current timeline was several years before players would enter the world.

Right now, the Order of the End seemed to have only her as a member.

The Violet of her past life had started the game late, perfectly missing the version where the Order of the End was at its most powerful, but that didn’t stop her from hearing of the cult’s notorious reputation.

Spreading plagues, preaching that the apocalypse was imminent, and conducting sacrifices everywhere were just a part of it.

For some reason, the Order of the End seemed particularly keen on destroying the world and exterminating humanity, to the point where they even alarmed the Empire and the Eternal Sect.

Thus, under Syks’s leadership, the Order of the End was brutally suppressed.

But despite their repeated failures, they always fought back, never forgetting their lofty ideal of destroying the world.

Such a steadfast ideal made it hard not to think of brainwashing.

With this in mind, Violet poked Nastasia on her head and asked:

“Lord Evil God, can I ask you something?”

The poked Nastasia’s tentacle twitched, waking Her from a light sleep.

“Huh? My kin? Is there something you want to ask?”

“It’s nothing much, really. I just want to know about your origins.”

Violet’s voice was steady, with a hint of probing.

To be honest, she didn’t want to be a villain.

“My origins…”

This time, Nastasia didn’t reply instantly.

Instead, She fell into a strange silence, giving no answer for a good while.

“Is it something you can’t talk about? Then…”

Violet’s expression shifted, intending to drop the topic.

But before she could finish, Nastasia’s hesitant voice sounded:

“N-No, it’s not that, my kin… It’s… I forgot.

I only remember that it seemed to be because of something, and then I was sealed by a lot of somethings.”

Violet was stunned.

She never expected Nastasia’s past to be like this.

To be able to seal an Evil God, the opposing party would have to be at least at the level of a god.

“Then… should I seek revenge for you?”

Violet pushed aside the tall grass and spoke after a moment of silence.

She suddenly thought of this serious problem.

Even in her past life, as a “Fourth Calamity,” she was only at the “ninth-tier Sanctuary level.”

And now, her enemies could very well be multiple gods.

Just as Violet was starting to plan where to bury her future coffin, Nastasia’s very anxious voice sounded:

“How could we?!

Of course, we’re going to hide!”

Who’s going to seek revenge! We can’t even outrun them!”

In that instant, a weight lifted from Violet’s heart, but a new problem soon came to mind.

“Then can we package our sect as a righteous one to recruit followers?”

This was a very important matter that would determine the difficulty of her recruiting followers.

The righteous sects could start with “the gods have mercy on the world,” and “there is light in the world,” which sounded very positive.

When it came to the evil sect, it would probably become…

“Hey brother, interested in joining our Order of the End? Let’s go destroy the world and exterminate humanity together!”

Violet shook her head, casting aside the thought that had floated into her mind.

This time, Nastasia answered quickly, but her voice was filled with blatant apology:

“That won’t work… I’m sorry, my kin (>_<)!”

As if worried Violet would regret her decision, She quickly explained:

“Because every god has their own doctrine, and if a follower doesn’t believe in the doctrine, they can’t be called my follower…

And my domain is chaos and the end, so the doctrine is disorder and chaos.

Speaking of which, my kin, you are really suited to be my follower! Your compatibility with my doctrine is one hundred percent!”

After hearing Nastasia’s words, Violet fell silent.

She didn’t consider herself an evil person.

In her heart of hearts, she knew she could never do things like starting wars or spreading plagues.

But why was she a perfect match for “disorder and chaos”?

“So, meeting you, my kin, is truly fortunate!”

The Evil God chattering on Violet’s head didn’t notice her contemplation at all and was still happily waving Her tentacles.

“Rustle—”

At that moment, the bushes not far ahead swayed, making a sound.

Nastasia instantly fell silent, while Violet pulled up the hood of her black robe, concealing her face.

She heard footsteps; the newcomer was clearly a human.

Sure enough, a moment later, a figure pushed aside the bushes and appeared before Violet.

By the moonlight, she could clearly see the person’s figure.

The person was actually clad in heavy armor and wielding a greatsword as wide as a door panel!

Violet, at one meter and fifty centimeters tall (plus ten centimeters for Nastasia), looked like a child facing an adult in front of this person.

“My kin, this person has a very heavy smell of blood on them!”

Under the hood, Nastasia moved close to Violet’s ear and whispered a warning.

Violet nodded imperceptibly, but only she knew the panic in her heart.

She had never expected to run into this person here!

If there was anyone who hated Violet to the bone, the one standing before her now would definitely rank at the top of the list.

Just as Violet’s thoughts were running wild, the armored person, who had been standing still before her, took a step forward:

“There is an unclean aura about you.”

The voice was muffled, carrying a hint of interrogation.

Violet felt a chill lock onto her.

Her gaze involuntarily flickered to the greatsword in the other’s hand.

The greatsword was currently stuck in the ground, and its own weight had driven it three inches into the earth.

Violet had no doubt that if she were to be struck by that sword, she could probably compete for a spot in the resurrection match with Boss on the spot.

Thus, she immediately put on a timid appearance, took a fearful step back, and held her hands in front of her:

“Sir, what are you talking about? I don’t understand.”

Despite the pure black hooded robe, the moonlight’s glow added a touch of sanctity to Violet.

Unfortunately, the armored person in front of her remained unmoved.

He stared at Violet’s face hidden under the hood and took another step forward:

“I said, take off your hood!”
