Chapter 92: The Null Magic’s Second Act

Just as Su Liyue had stated, she effortlessly dissipated the raging Dragon Cyclone Array into nothingness.

This sight not only left the members of the Chixiao Squad utterly dumbfounded, but even the Phantom Cloud Leopard visibly faltered, its beastly pupils abruptly constricting into thin slits, reflecting the ghostly afterimages of the easily erased cyclones.

Its powerful limbs instantly tensed, its sharp claws carving several deep gouges into the rocky ground.

Its fur bristled like steel needles, each strand standing on end, while the mane around its neck flared out into a dazzling halo.

Roar!!!

A thunderous roar erupted from deep within its throat, the sound wave pulverizing all loose stones within a ten-meter radius into fine dust.

The dignity and ferocity inherent in a Gold-tier magical beast would not allow it to retreat; if magic proved ineffective, then it would tear these humans apart with its primal savagery!

Its hind leg muscles visibly swelled, and azure wind elements condensed beneath its claws, forming solid footholds.

With a deafening “bang,” the ground where it had stood erupted into a two-meter-wide crater, its form already transformed into a streak of lightning.

As it charged, the wind elements surrounding the Phantom Cloud Leopard began to swirl furiously, manifesting into five identical wind clones.

Each clone possessed tangible attacking capabilities, their sharp claws and fangs wreathed in spiraling wind blades.

Even more terrifyingly, these clones were not mere afterimages; they deployed themselves in a mysterious formation, effectively sealing off all possible escape routes.

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!!

Successive whooshing sounds filled the air as six figures lunged forward with terrifying, blinding speed.

Where they passed, the air was ripped apart by sharp crackles, and the ground was gouged into deep furrows by the wind pressure.

Even from tens of meters away, the foul wind and murderous intent assaulting them were palpable.

“Qingqing, now!” A cold glint flashed in Su Liyue’s violet eyes, and the tip of her staff blossomed with dazzling silver light.

“Understood!” Mu Wanqing had long been poised, her ice-blue magical energy swirling around her.

Under the precise guidance of Ye Xingchen’s Wind Listening Art, both simultaneously locked onto the true body, their incantations perfectly synchronized.

“Coagulate!”

As the dual incantations descended, the rapidly charging Phantom Cloud Leopard’s true form suddenly stumbled.

To its horror, it discovered that the magical energy flowing within its body was congealing at an alarming rate.

First, eerie ice-blue patterns emerged in its veins, then these patterns rapidly spread to its surface, blossoming into crystalline ice flowers on its fur.

More terrifying still, these ice crystals began to freeze from the depths of its very bone marrow, utterly immobilizing even its surging wind-attributed magical energy.

“Wail…” The Phantom Cloud Leopard let out a piteous cry, the savagery in its eyes long since replaced by sheer terror.

It thrashed its body wildly, attempting to break free, yet found its movements growing increasingly sluggish, even its most proficient Wind Acceleration becoming utterly stagnant.

Only now did it finally realize, far too late, that these humans before it were far from ordinary prey.

For a magical beast that relied on speed for victory, once its proud velocity and wild wind elements were controlled, its massive form became nothing more than a living target.

As for why Su Liyue didn’t use Wind Breath Control to siphon the oxygen from around it, the Phantom Cloud Leopard, being a wind-attributed magical beast, made such an endeavor exceedingly difficult for her at present.

The next step was to devise a way to inflict fatal damage, thereby bringing this battle to a perfect conclusion.

Although the Phantom Cloud Leopard was a Gold-tier magical beast, its advantages lay entirely in the combined impact of its wind element control, extreme speed, and formidable physique.

Once these advantages were suppressed, its weaknesses became glaringly apparent.

Unlike the armored invincibility of a Plated Dragon Turtle, its defensive capabilities were noticeably weaker.

Perhaps this was the natural law of evolutionary balance: granting ultimate speed invariably demanded a sacrifice in defense.

Nevertheless, despite its relative fragility, it remained a Gold-tier magical beast, and in terms of physical constitution, it was still several times stronger than a Silver-tier magical beast.

Su Liyue smiled, a brilliant idea suddenly striking her.

‘Why not let this magical beast experience the taste of its own cyclones?’

‘Compared to unleashing large-scale destructive magic, this method would not only conserve magical energy but, more importantly…’

Her gaze flickered to Ye Xingchen beside her, her male counterpart standing calmly at her side, guarding her.

‘The spiritual energy consumption for this small amount of spatial power was utterly negligible for him. Besides, since they were essentially the same person, what harm was there in using a little?’

“Null Magic: Transform Nothing into Something.” Su Liyue uttered the name of the skill she had personally devised, her tone remarkably casual.

‘Transform Nothing into Something? This enigmatic Null Magic could not only dispel other magic, but it possessed a second stage effect as well?’

Apart from Ye Xingchen, every other person present was once again utterly astonished.

‘Was Chief Su’s power not excessively exaggerated?’

Chixiao and Lin Yueyao simultaneously looked towards the man who had yet to make a move.

Even his mere posture of calmly standing and guarding Su Liyue elevated their estimation of Ye Xingchen by several degrees.

The more brilliantly Su Liyue shone, the more extraordinary Ye Xingchen appeared, having captured her heart.

It was evident, after all, that he was the man even the third-year Chief, Su Liyue, held in such deep affection.

With every glimmer of brilliance the young woman displayed, she inadvertently added another layer of awe-inspiring, mysterious radiance to the man beside her, the one whom this proud daughter of heaven willingly followed.
