Join the ServerWhen the Skeleton Clan leader heard the Demon King say that, every joint in his spine instantly tightened.
Even the ghostly blue flames in his eyes nearly went out.
He didn’t dare lift his head.
He didn’t even dare move a finger, afraid that even the slightest unnecessary motion would draw down the pressure capable of crushing his entire skeletal frame.
“That’s not the case at all, Demon King!”
His voice trembled as he hurried to defend himself.
“Not at all! I was just casually repeating… rumors I’d heard!”
Hearing this, the Demon King’s smile did not fade.
Instead, she tilted her head slightly, a playful how interesting glint appearing in her eyes, as though she were watching a dying stray dog.
“Rumors?”
She asked with faint curiosity.
“You mean… rumors?”
At that question, Bain felt as if he had fallen into an icy abyss.
His skeleton shuddered violently, and he nodded frantically, his voice hurried and panicked.
“Yes! Rumors! Not something I said! It was… it was spread by others! I… I just heard it and casually mentioned it, nothing more!”
The Demon King chuckled softly.
Yet that light laugh made every bone in Bain’s body feel as if it were wrapped in ice.
She slowly raised her hand, her fingertips lightly tracing through the air, as if writing an invisible command.
“Since it’s a rumor…”
Her voice remained gentle, yet carried irresistible authority.
“Then you will go and deal with the source of that rumor for me.”
She paused, a cold glint flashing deep in her eyes.
“I don’t wish to hear such rumors again.
And even less do I wish to… discover signs of them.”
Hearing this, Bain’s entire skeleton stiffened instantly.
He nodded repeatedly, his voice shaking beyond control.
“Understood, Demon King! I guarantee I’ll take care of it! I guarantee I’ll satisfy you!”
The Demon King’s smile deepened further.
That smile seemed to hide countless blades, each one precisely stabbing into Bain’s most fragile nerves.
“I hope you mean what you say.”
Her voice was cold, laced with teasing amusement.
“Otherwise… I wouldn’t mind replacing the leader of the Undead.”
When Bain heard the words replace the leader, terror rattled every bone in his body.
He nodded frantically.
“Absolutely! Absolutely, Demon King! I… I will definitely do what I say!”
As his words fell, the oppressive pressure vanished abruptly.
Bain collapsed back into his chair, his skeleton letting out a creak, as if he had just survived a brush with death.
“Very good.”
She said softly.
“Then I’ll look forward to seeing you keep your word.”
Bain hurriedly replied in fear.
“Yes! Yes, Demon King! I… I will definitely do so!”
“Everyone.”
She slowly swept her gaze around the room and smiled.
“Is there anything else to discuss?”
The meeting chamber fell into dead silence.
No one spoke.
Vera shrank into her chair, her eyes full of schadenfreude.
Irena sat quietly.
Eben did not move at all.
After several seconds of silence, the Demon King chuckled.
“It seems there’s nothing else today.
Then… this meeting is adjourned.”
Just as Bain straightened up, Vera had somehow appeared beside him.
Her eyes were full of mockery as she stuck out her tongue at him, making a face and deliberately shaking her head.
Bain was so enraged by her expression that his skull felt like it was about to explode.
His skeletal frame tensed, as though he might tear her apart in the next second.
But he didn’t move.
Because under the Demon King’s gaze—he didn’t dare.
He could only grit his teeth and leave the meeting chamber.
Watching his suppressed, humiliated figure, Vera was delighted beyond measure.
“Hahahaha! Skullhead, so you have days like this too!”
After the Skeleton Clan leader and the lich left the chamber—
Vera suddenly sprang up from her chair.
She rushed toward the Demon King in a few quick steps and threw herself at her without hesitation.
She wrapped both arms tightly around Morgana’s arm, pressing her cheek against that pale limb, rubbing against it like a spoiled kitten.
“Morgana-sis~”
She lifted her face, her eyes filled with longing.
“Why won’t you marry me too? I want to be your wife as well! I can be obedient like them, and love you just as much!”
Morgana looked down at her.
A trace of helplessness flickered through her eyes, mixed with indulgence.
“Vera.”
Her voice was gentle, tinged with a sigh.
“I understand your feelings for me.
But you must understand—our bond doesn’t need that kind of title to be measured.”
Vera blinked, confusion appearing in her eyes.
“Is that so, Morgana-sis…?”
Morgana didn’t answer.
Instead, she suddenly raised her other hand and gently pinched Vera’s chin, lifting her face and forcing her to meet her gaze.
“Vera.”
Her voice dropped suddenly, carrying unquestionable pressure.
“Do you not trust me?”
She paused, her expression turning dangerous.
“If that’s the case… I might get a little angry.”
Stabbed by that gaze, Vera’s entire body shuddered violently.
It wasn’t fear.
It was overwhelming excitement.
Her heart pounded wildly, blood boiling through her veins.
She knew it—this wasn’t punishment.
It was the prelude to affection.
“So good… so good…”
She laughed madly in her heart.
“I get to be ruined by Morgana-sis again! This is the best!”
Her body trembled uncontrollably, her thighs instinctively pressing together.
A warm liquid quietly slipped free, leaving a faint, almost imperceptible damp mark on the floor.
Looking at her obsessed, nearly deranged expression, Morgana spoke with a trace of irritation.
“You really are an annoying little bat.”
The moment Vera heard that, her eyes lit up instantly, her breathing turning ragged.
“Morgana-sis just now… actually called me a little bat!”
She screamed internally.
“So good! So good! That’s the most beautiful name I’ve ever heard!”
She almost wanted to kneel down and beg her to say it again.
And Morgana, as if seeing straight through her inner turmoil, suddenly let out a cold laugh.
She grabbed Vera’s face roughly, her fingers mercilessly kneading her cheeks.
The next instant—
“Mm—!”
Vera’s body reacted as if struck by countless jolts of electricity.
Her mind went completely blank, her gaze unfocused.
Her fingers clutched Morgana’s clothes desperately.
Sweet, muffled whimpers spilled from her throat.
Her legs went weak, unable to support her, and she collapsed limply into the Demon King’s embrace.
“Vera.”
Morgana looked down at her, her voice still cold, laced with teasing.
“Now you believe me, don’t you?”
Vera gazed up at her with intoxicated eyes.
A foolish smile curled on her lips, her voice hoarse and barely audible.
“Morgana-sis… thank you so much…”
She even tried to reach out and touch her feet—
Only to be stopped by a single glance.
Morgana no longer looked at her.
Instead, she turned her gaze to Irena, who had been standing quietly to the side.
“Irena.”
Morgana’s voice softened slightly.
“Take good care of Vera.
You are all important to me.”
Irena immediately knelt on one knee, her voice firm and respectful.
“Thank you for your favor, Lady Morgana.
I will give my all.”
Morgana smiled.
Still stroking the vampire in her arms, she spoke softly to the dragon woman.
“Irena, there’s no need to be so stiff.
You’re all my most capable aides—and the people I trust the most.”
A strange flicker passed through Irena’s eyes.
She then lowered her head, her voice respectful.
“Yes, Demon King.”
She slowly stood and walked toward Vera, who lay limp on the floor.
She reached out and gently lifted the still-trembling body, drawing her into her arms.
Vera rested against her chest, a satisfied smile on her lips, murmuring softly.
“Sis… it’s so nice…
If only I could stay with Morgana-sis a little longer…”
