Lilith keenly noticed Melorin’s absent-mindedness and asked with a smile.
“Melorin, what’s wrong.
Are you feeling too weak physically.”
She deliberately leaned closer, a sly glint flashing in her eyes.
“Do you want me to… feed you.”
“Ah.”
Melorin snapped back to her senses at once and waved her hands in a panic.
“N-no need to trouble you, Lilith.
I… I can eat by myself.”
Seeing her reaction, Lilith couldn’t help laughing.
“Look how flustered you are.”
Melorin steadied herself, then immediately changed the subject, pretending to be calm as she spoke.
“I… I was just thinking…
Morgana actually has such a serious and responsible side.
That’s really rare.”
Lilith smiled with quiet satisfaction.
“Alright, alright, don’t worry about that.”
She gently stroked Melorin’s hair, her voice soft yet firm.
“As the King of the Demon Race, of course Lady Morgana must shoulder these responsibilities.
For thousands of years, the demon clans have been divided and plagued by war.
Without a strong ruler, how could the races ever be unified and true order established.”
As she chewed on a pastry, Melorin couldn’t help muttering a complaint.
“Being a Demon King sounds exhausting.”
She pursed her lips, her tone tinged with mockery.
“According to human history, Demon Kings are all about burning, killing, plundering, and extreme indulgence.
Nothing like her… meetings and documents during the day, and at night… special training.
She’s really balancing work and life.”
Rather than being offended, Lilith was amused by her words and lightly tapped Melorin’s nose.
“That’s because Lady Morgana is different.”
Her tone suddenly turned serious, a hint of respect flashing through her dark eyes.
“She doesn’t want a demon race that only knows how to plunder and destroy.
What she wants is a unified demon race—
no more infighting, no more being bullied by humans, no more fragmentation into countless weak tribes waiting to be slaughtered.”
Melorin paused mid-bite.
She looked up at Lilith’s ever-gentle face.
Only then did she realize—
Lilith wasn’t being perfunctory.
She wasn’t brainwashed either.
She truly believed in Morgana’s vision.
Melorin let out a snort and deliberately turned her head away, feigning disdain.
“Sounds pretty ambitious, I guess.”
Lilith leaned in excitedly, her eyes sparkling.
“Really.
You think so too.”
Her voice brimmed with delight, like she had finally found someone who understood the Demon King.
“Lady Morgana is truly great.
She doesn’t fight for personal desire, but for the future of the entire demon race.
She’s willing to bear infamy and endure loneliness, all so that this land will no longer bleed.”
Listening to Lilith’s near-fanatical praise, Melorin sneered inwardly.
“Future.
Unity.
Sounds nice…
Then look at how she ‘educates’ me.
Is that for the future of the demon race too.”
She suddenly turned back, glaring at Lilith as if annoyed.
“Honestly.
That’s not what I think at all.
Stop saying things like that.”
Seeing her obvious stubborn-but-soft act, Lilith only smiled gently, as if she had already seen through the disguise.
She reached out and once again softly patted Melorin’s hair, soothing her like a sulky child.
“Alright, alright, hurry up and eat.”
Her voice was tender, carrying an unmistakable indulgence.
“Only if you eat well will your body stay healthy.
Otherwise, during class later, I’ll have to scold you for ‘not paying attention’ again.”
Melorin huffed, lifting her small chin stubbornly and muttering under her breath.
“I know already, Lilith.”
After breakfast, Lilith took Melorin by the hand and led her toward the library.
Inside the library.
“Alright,” Lilith said with a smile as she stood before Melorin.
“Today’s lesson begins now.”
Holding The Way of Succubus Service, Lilith started the lecture.
“Melorin,” Lilith said with a mischievous grin, “did you know.
Every low-level succubus has a heat period.”
Melorin pouted, lifting her chin.
“Hmph, I’m not a low-level succubus.
How could I possibly have a heat period.”
Lilith chuckled and patiently explained.
“You may not be an ordinary succubus, but you are now personally named a consort by the Demon King…
Your body has already been altered.
Naturally, you can’t escape this stage.”
“I don’t believe it.”
Melorin turned her head away, though the tips of her ears quietly flushed red.
“Even if I did have one, I could endure it.”
“Is that so.”
Lilith laughed softly and slowly moved behind her, placing her hands gently on Melorin’s shoulders, her fingers gliding down along her collarbones.
“When that time comes, it won’t be a matter of whether you can endure it…
Your body will crave on its own.”
She leaned close to Melorin’s ear, her warm breath brushing against the sensitive skin.
“Your heart will race, your skin will burn, your legs will go weak…
You won’t have done anything, yet you’ll feel like you’re on fire.
You’ll want to touch yourself, yet won’t dare.
Want to run, yet be unable to move.
That feeling…
more tormenting than hunger, harder to endure than pain.”
Melorin shuddered violently.
Her throat tightened, and her fingers dug unconsciously into the edge of the desk.
“I… I won’t be like that.”
Her voice wavered, unable to convince even herself.
Lilith chuckled, her fingertip slowly sliding lower before lightly tapping once.
“Melorin, want to experience it a little first.
Only then will you know how painful it can be.”
“You—.”
Melorin snapped her head around, crimson eyes glaring.
“If you dare touch me, I’ll—”
“And then what.”
Lilith interrupted with a smile, her gaze gentle yet teasing.
“Go complain to Lady Morgana.
But she already knows all of this, and even…
she’s the one who allowed me to do it.”
Melorin bit her lower lip, her chest heaving.
She knew she had nowhere to run.
If she agreed, she would have to face that pleasure she both feared and was drawn to.
If she refused, she would only look weak and laughable.
Lowering her head, nails digging into her palm, she finally squeezed out a sentence.
“…Then try it.”
Her voice was tiny, yet stubborn.
“I won’t admit defeat.”
Seeing her stubborn act, Lilith’s smile deepened.
She slowly leaned closer, almost pressing against Melorin’s back, her arms wrapping around her slender waist from behind.
“Melorin,” she whispered, warm breath slipping into her ear.
“It’s still not too late to regret this.”
Melorin froze.
That single breath was like a spark, instantly igniting a nerve deep within her body.
She panicked.
Just a breath had already made her heart race.
If it truly began… could she really endure it.
Would she, like Sylvia, sink completely and forget even her sense of shame.
But the words had already been spoken.
There was no retreat.
She closed her eyes, her voice trembling yet firm.
“…I won’t regret it.
Come on.”
Lilith let out a soft laugh and lightly licked her ear.
“Such admirable courage…”
Melorin gasped sharply, a wave of tingling numbness shooting up her spine.
She nearly slid off the desk.
Instinctively she tried to pull away, but was held tightly in Lilith’s embrace.
“Don’t be afraid…”
Lilith’s hand slowly moved downward, her fingertip pressing gently against the rune as magic seeped in like a thin stream.
“This is…
only the beginning.”
