“Indeed. Not everyone is as fortunate as Mr. Doyoo.”
“…Yes. And so, I hope there will be no more.”
Doyoo was a ‘victim’ in the past, having received magic from a lawbreaker, which led to countless casualties and accidents.
Kadan’s intelligence indicated that the lawbreaker first revealed their existence through an incident for which Doyoo was the culprit.
At twelve years old, Doyoo received magic from the lawbreaker. He then used that magic, causing the death of his adoptive parents and severely injuring dozens of innocent people caught in the crossfire.
In some ways, the damage was minimal compared to other incidents caused by the lawbreaker’s magic. Yet, the nation’s laws, regardless of causality, sentenced Doyoo to death for ‘using’ forbidden magic of his own volition.
It was Seong Heeyu who saved Doyoo from death row. Seeing the firm resolve shining in Doyoo’s blue eyes, he smiled with satisfaction.
“Very well, given such determination. I shall gladly grant your wish.”
“Really?”
Doyoo was genuinely surprised. Given Seong Heeyu’s personality, he had expected him to wait until there was a clear directive from higher-ups and more concrete evidence.
“Since things have come to this, I’ll let the stubborn kid owe me a favor.”
“Was I… that stubborn…?”
“Perhaps?”
With a meaningful smile, Seong Heeyu ushered Doyoo out of the team leader’s office.
That very dawn, the deployment of Special Unit Team 1 to raid Cheongshin’s house was confirmed.
Two in the morning. A deep, ambitious hour when most people were lost in slumber.
Clad in the black uniforms of Kadan, agents surrounded Cheongshin’s house.
Knowing in advance about the lawbreaker’s magical prowess and the barrier surrounding his home, the mage team members kept watch from a distance.
Conversely, it was decided that Doyoo, with his high mana sensitivity, and two mage team members, who were less powerful, would infiltrate the house’s interior, assisting Doyoo.
Doyoo cautiously entered the house through the parking lot, a route he had noted during a previous visit.
He led the way up the stairs and along the corridor, the only path where no barrier magic or infiltration detection magic had been installed.
As he stepped into the living room, Doyoo confirmed that the specially crafted artifact, which suppressed all traces and auras of himself and his team members, was still active.
Given the hour, the living room lights were off. Doyoo exchanged glances with his team members. One of them pulled a spherical artifact from their uniform pocket, activated it, and gently rolled it towards the stairs leading to the second floor.
The sphere silently bumped against the bottom of the stairs, emitting a small light. Simultaneously, the barrier cast over the stairs subtly wavered.
As soon as he felt the barrier’s magic falter, Doyoo gestured. Another waiting team member then activated a second artifact.
[Good. Go.]
With Seong Heeyu’s permission, Doyoo and his team members sprinted up the stairs. No sound echoed.
Reaching the second floor, Doyoo headed for Cheongshin’s bedroom. He knew the way directly, as Cheongshin had told him its location during his previous visit.
Doyoo signaled the two team members who had followed him to wait there, then used an artifact to make the door vanish. In an instant, the door crumbled into particle-sized grains, dissolving away.
With the door forcibly opened, Doyoo immediately stormed into the bedroom. He was so surprised that he involuntarily paused.
Through the wide-open window, Cheongshin’s naked form lay asleep on the bed, clearly illuminated by the moonlight.
Cheongshin seemed utterly oblivious to the intruders in his home, sleeping soundly with the deep, rhythmic breathing characteristic of someone in profound slumber.
The sight made Doyoo falter, a sense of sacrilege washing over him as if he had trespassed into a sacred space.
[Tsk.]
At that moment, Seong Heeyu’s clicking tongue sounded through the communication artifact clipped to Doyoo’s ear.
Snapping back to his senses, Doyoo realized this was his chance. He pulled out a mage-restraining tool, intending to subdue Lee Cheongshin’s defenseless body.
Thud.
“…!”
He surely would have succeeded in subduing him, had Cheongshin not suddenly opened his eyes, grabbed Doyoo’s outstretched hand, and pulled him close.
Doyoo was dragged forward by a strength he had never encountered before, yet he still tried to activate his artifact. However, as soon as he detected mana flowing, a ‘click’ sounded, and the artifact broke.
“You…!”
In that brief moment, Doyoo found himself half-forcibly seated on Cheongshin’s stomach. He thought it was fortunate, at least. If push came to shove, he could always subdue Cheongshin by choking him.
Doyoo moved his free hand, attempting to incapacitate Cheongshin as a second resort, but that hand, too, was powerfully gripped by Cheongshin, rendering it useless.
“Senior.”
His green eyes, devoid of any trace of sleep, gleamed with an uncanny brilliance under the moonlight.
Cheongshin looked up at Doyoo, who was forcibly straddling him, his gaze deep as if he might devour him right then, and licked his lips. As Doyoo swallowed a gasp, a shiver running down his spine, Cheongshin spoke.
“No matter how urgent your feelings, isn’t this a bit much? Breaking into my house, barging into my bedroom, and then pouncing on me like this?”
“What nonsense are you spouting? Listen carefully, you are being—”
“Perhaps you didn’t know that while I may be as adorable as a bunny to you normally, in bed, I become a beast.”
Suddenly, his world inverted.
Doyoo gasped. He had no idea how it had happened.
He blinked, and his position had flipped. Doyoo realized he was now lying on the bed, with Cheongshin on top of him, and he squirmed. Cheongshin stroked Doyoo’s hands, which he had been holding.
His hands became stuck to the bed, unable to move. Attempts to kick Cheongshin with his legs were similarly neutralized.
Doyoo looked up at Cheongshin, whose eyes were gleaming, and thought, ‘Why aren’t the team members waiting outside coming in?’
The initial plan was for him to subdue Cheongshin, and whether he succeeded or failed, the team members were supposed to assist him. But it was strangely quiet.
There was even no support from the other Special Unit mages who should have been monitoring the situation from outside.
“What in the…”
It was strange. Truly strange. Cheongshin smiled, watching Doyoo’s confusion.
“Senior, do you enjoy role-playing in uniform? I admit, the idea of disheveling such a neat outfit and making it thoroughly mine is quite appealing. But since it’s our first time, let’s keep it simple. Next time, though, let’s try something other than the Mage Association uniform. You get penalized for cosplay with these.”
With that, Cheongshin swiftly began to strip Doyoo’s uniform.
He pulled down the mask that had covered Doyoo’s nose and mouth.
“Ah, I knew it. Senior, you look much cooler without your glasses. Don’t wear them anymore.”
Cheongshin’s hands then playfully traced Doyoo’s jawline and neck, unfastening the uniform’s tie, then the vest, and finally, the buttons of the uniform shirt.
All the while, he didn’t forget to subtly stimulate Doyoo with his other hand. With that intimate touch, Doyoo fully comprehended Cheongshin’s words and urgently cried out.
“I didn’t come here to sleep with you!!”
“Of course not. You came to pounce on me while I was sleeping defenselessly, didn’t you? Just wait, Senior. I’ll pounce first, then you can slowly pounce on me after.”
What kind of novel bullshit was this? For a moment, Doyoo forgot the situation, his blood pressure soaring, and he shouted.
“No, damn it, you lunatic, get your hands off me! I came here to arrest you as a lawbreaker!”
Cheongshin smiled sweetly at Doyoo’s outburst and asked, “Is that how this scenario goes?”
“Check my uniform pocket, you damn idiot.”
“I’ll see after I take this off. Ah, Senior. You’re so adorable. I want to bite you and swallow you whole.”
“D-don’t touch me!”
“Don’t be shy. You can look at mine all you want. You can bite and suck on it. But first, I’ll savor yours.”
Doyoo witnessed, right before his eyes, a person’s gaze lose all reason.
Cheongshin’s green eyes blazed with a fierce intensity as he roughly tore off the remaining buttons. As Doyoo’s upper body was exposed, Cheongshin buried his face in Doyoo’s chest and grabbed his belt.
Amidst this, Cheongshin seemed to notice the artifact hidden in the belt, and with another ‘click,’ Doyoo felt the artifact malfunction. Realizing that the artifact hadn’t broken by chance, but that this guy had done it, Doyoo understood he was truly trapped and cried out.
“Stop it, Lee Cheongshin! You madman!”
“It’s alright. Since it’s our first time, I’ll be gentle.”
He truly seemed intent on going all the way. Realizing that he wouldn’t die, but would actually be completely devoured, Doyoo was about to unleash his hidden trump card when—
“Oh dear.”
Another person’s voice cut in.
Doyoo, recognizing it as a clear human voice and not one from the artifact in his ear, turned his head towards the sound.
Seong Heeyu stood in the doorway. Behind him, the two unhelpful team members, disarmed, stared wide-eyed at the scene.
“I only came to restrain Mr. Doyoo, but it seems I’ve interrupted something.”
“W-what are you talking about, Team Leader? No, before that, please save me—hey! Don’t touch me!”
Doyoo shouted at Cheongshin, who was still diligently moving his hands despite being watched by so many people. Cheongshin, looking puzzled, asked,
