Join the ServerMagician Blue Iris, one of the high-risk contact targets designated by the Netherworld, had always had a few rumors about her circulating in the Underworld, though they were not particularly widespread.
No one knew where she came from.
Her identity was unknown, and her true name was a mystery.
She simply appeared in the Underworld one day out of nowhere, gave a few underground magic performances, and gained a modest bit of popularity.
Originally, that was all there was to it.
Although the Underworld was extremely strict about registration and personnel management due to its unique nature, it wasn’t particularly strange for a rogue element or two to slip through the cracks as unregistered residents.
Not to mention someone using a cloak and code name who didn’t reveal her real identity.
Perhaps she was registered and simply wanted to act like an idol?
Furthermore, while an unregistered public underground performance violated regulations, it wasn’t a major offense.
It wasn’t worth going through immense trouble to make a big deal out of it, so the Netherworld didn’t pay much attention to it at the time.
However, soon after, when news arrived that Blue Iris was also holding underground magic performances in the Living Realm, the big shots of the Netherworld could no longer sit still.
Traveling from the Underworld to the Living Realm was by no means an easy task.
Not only did it require a Raven and a Reaper working together, but it also required opening a portal through the Boundary Realm at a qualified location.
Given the Underworld’s strict management of these portal locations and the Reaper-Raven system, the difficulty of sneaking across was extraordinarily high.
Even if one stepped back and assumed this girl somehow found a way to cross over illicitly, that should have been the extent of it.
It wasn’t as if the Underworld didn’t have criminals who snuck over to the Living Realm to evade capture and live in secrecy.
But how on earth were you showing yourself right in front of everyone’s eyes and giving public performances?
Underworld beings were spiritual bodies.
Under normal circumstances, they were completely incapable of making physical contact with objects in the Living Realm.
Even Reapers needed synthetic bodies to execute their missions and communicate with humans in the Living Realm.
The only explanation was that this girl had stolen a synthetic body fitted to her, making it convenient to move around in the Living Realm.
At first, the Netherworld felt it had lost face.
An outlaw was freely traveling between both realms and giving public performances without hiding her presence at all.
This was a blatant provocation aimed directly at the highest authorities of the Netherworld.
However, the moment you used a synthetic body, it should have been easy for the Netherworld to track you down.
This was precisely why illegal migrants from the Underworld preferred to endure the loneliness of being unable to communicate with anyone in the Living Realm rather than steal a synthetic body.
The Netherworld had initially been very confident about this as well.
Yet, when they started investigating in earnest, the Netherworld was completely dumbfounded.
They hadn’t lost a single synthetic body, and even tracing things back to the production source of the synthetic bodies yielded zero results…
This became a massive issue.
It meant there might be a loophole in their entire synthetic body regulatory system that someone had exploited.
If thoroughly investigated, the consequences might be more than many people could bear.
Considering it was just this one person, the accumulation of years of regulatory protocol was far more important than a mere criminal.
Thus, the Netherworld ultimately chose to temporarily abandon the capture effort and slowly figure out where the issue lay.
In fact, even if a Reaper brought this up, the Netherworld would find ways to subtly hint that they shouldn’t arrest this small magician of unknown origin…
If she were caught and confessed the truth, the entire synthetic body regulatory system would undergo a massive overhaul.
“I can understand the Underworld, but why does she still hold underground performances in the Living Realm? Wouldn’t it be better to apply for an official one?”
Recalling that this was merely an illegal underground magic show, Tei felt a bit puzzled.
It was normal for Underworld citizens to be indifferent to magic, so an application there likely wouldn’t be approved anyway.
However, humans in the Living Realm should really like this kind of thing.
Since this magician had the capability to leave the Netherworld completely helpless, wouldn’t it be easy for her to apply for an official permit in the Living Realm?
“I’m not sure about that. Supposedly… it’s because of the type and style of her performance?”
Belladonna was actually a bit curious as well.
However, what she was curious about was how the other party managed to gain decent popularity using magic in the Underworld.
Just what kind of performance could satisfy the fastidious tastes of the Underworld citizens?
That was why she bought a ticket to come in and take a look.
Unfortunately, this was merely a temporary stage set up underground.
Everyone could only find a place to stand on their own, making the viewing experience less than friendly.
The tiny magician on stage was still pumping up the crowd’s enthusiasm…
Standing at under 1.5 meters tall, her appearance was exquisite and adorable.
Her figure sat right between childhood and maturity, making her a loli type even more ideal than Belladonna.
Her night-colored hair carried a faint hint of dark blue.
Her long hair was tied up in a ponytail, making the magician girl appear slick and lively.
A playful, slightly seductive expression rested on her delicate face.
Holding a ornate cane in her hand, the girl tipped her small top hat and performed an elegant gentleman’s bow.
“Everyone down there! There are quite a few new faces today! But that’s okay, our old friends here will tell everyone~ Well then, same as always today~ Our theme and slogan!”
“BLOOD!!! FIRE!!! SOULS!!!”
The audience below cheered enthusiastically.
Belladonna frowned, feeling that the atmosphere was a bit off.
“I feel like this performance isn’t legitimate. I’ve watched recordings of magic shows in the Living Realm before. Are normal magic shows usually this wild?”
Even Tei beside her voiced his doubts.
Recalling what Belladonna had mentioned earlier, along with the magician girl’s succubus-like blown kisses and teasing on stage…
“You said the style of her performance was off. Her performance wouldn’t happen to be adult-rated, would it?”
The two of them soon got their answer.
The girl’s magic show on stage was indeed rated… but not in the way they thought.
Amidst the crowd’s exclamations, a red cloth that had been covering something on stage was pulled away.
A giant glass water tank appeared in everyone’s field of view.
The glass tank itself was nothing special.
What shocked the audience was that inside the tank, hundreds of closely packed objects were swimming around…
“That’s right! These are all piranhas that have been starved for two or three weeks~ Just a hint of a prey’s scent, even if it’s a bull! They will tear it apart until not a single bone remains in an instant~”
Under everyone’s gaze, the magician girl presented a heavy-duty performance right at the start.
Walking up the steps to the top of the tank, the girl gently dropped a piece of steak the size of a pillow.
Instantly, the school of fish became restless.
In just a few seconds, the fish inside the tank churned wildly, and the massive piece of meat vanished without a trace in an instant, becoming their dinner.
Having devoured a giant piece of meat, the famished fish were clearly left wanting more, churning at the surface of the water in anticipation of the next prey.
Then, under the gaze of the audience, the magician girl in her mini dress—with the help of assistants—firmly bound herself with chains, manacles, and a collar.
Her hands were constrained in front of her head.
Her legs, clad in asymmetrical high-heeled short boots, were also bound together with shackles.
Heavy solid iron balls were even attached to the chains and manacles on her body and legs.
“Well then, today’s feast of blood~ begins!”
Winking, the thoroughly bound magician girl leaned forward slightly and lost her balance.
Amidst the screams of the audience, the girl playfully stuck out her tongue and fell into the water tank filled with piranhas.
Accompanied by splashing water, a terrifying scarlet color instantly filled the entire tank…
