Chapter 21: Where Did This Enchanting Little Vixen Come From?

Regardless of anything else, strictly in terms of performance style, the tiny magician on stage truly knew how to put on a show, keeping the audience’s eyes glued to her.

Originally, the two Reapers in the crowd had only come in to find their contact and schedule a meeting, while casually catching the show on the side.

Yet at this moment, it was as if they had completely forgotten their original purpose, staring dumbfounded at the horrifying scene on stage.

The members of the audience were like bloodthirsty maniacs, cheering wildly at this bloody spectacle, perhaps believing it was all just part of the trick.

However, the two Reapers below the stage certainly didn’t think so.

Citizens of the Underworld generally possessed far better eyesight than humans in the Living Realm.

When it came to dynamic vision and overall perception, the two as Reapers were more than just a little superior to ordinary Underworld residents.

Thus, unlike the rest of the audience, while the school of fish and the scarlet hue obscured the girl inside the water tank and made it hard for ordinary eyes to see clearly, the exact moment the girl plunged into the water, the two of them had distinctly witnessed the sharp teeth of several fish tearing away chunks of flesh.

The stark contrast between this scene and the reaction of the crowd made them feel as though reality itself had become warped.

Yet, exchanging a glance with each other, they confirmed that what they had witnessed was no illusion.

Soon, a small hand reached out from the swarm of fish inside the water tank, frantically slapping against the glass as if pleading for help.

The sight of the fish chasing after that outstretched hand and tearing at it only confirmed what the two Reapers had just seen.

Before long, the small hand limply dropped down, once again swallowed by the school of fish.

At this moment, the audience below was still cheering and screaming, their excitement mixed with a hint of fear in the face of such a thrilling scene.

“Top Student, what are you doing? Calm down.”

Unable to watch any longer, Belladonna made a move to head up to the stage, but she was immediately pulled back by Tei, who noticed her movement.

“If I don’t go over there now, she’s going to die!”

If she were an ordinary person, going up to the stage now wouldn’t even leave enough to collect a body.

However, since the tiny magician on stage was from the Underworld, as long as it was only her synthetic body being torn apart, she could still be saved.

In order to maximize compatibility with an Underworlder’s body, a synthetic body was bound to their spiritual form to a high degree.

Therefore, if the synthetic body suffered injury in the Living Realm, a certain amount of feedback would be transmitted back to their true body.

Although it was not a hundred percent feedback—meaning a fatal wound on the synthetic body wouldn’t prove fatal to the true body—the pain was not reduced in the slightest.

A severed finger might only amount to a minor scrape drawing a bit of blood on the true body, but the excruciating pain of that injury would hit without any discount whatsoever.

Being torn apart and devoured alive—even if one survived, they would likely lose half their life in the process.

The sheer agony alone could torture a person to death.

Even the most brutal tortures in the Underworld were not this cruel.

Even if the little girl on stage was a wanted criminal in the Underworld, Belladonna didn’t feel she deserved to be treated like this.

“This isn’t her first performance. Those veteran audience members down there aren’t moving, and we’re currently using synthetic bodies ourselves. Don’t act recklessly.”

Tei pointed out the suspicious aspects of the scene.

There were actually quite a few people down in the audience showing concern and an urge to go up and help, but those people were most likely just new viewers.

Meanwhile, those so-called veteran fans were merely screaming in wild celebration at this moment.

Seeing their behavior, the new viewers also suppressed their impulses and waited to see how things would unfold.

“Can’t you see? They’re insane! They’re a bunch of bloodthirsty maniacs!”

While the two were still arguing, another unexpected turn occurred on stage.

The fish, plunged into a frenzy, thrashing and slamming against the glass.

Under the madness of over a hundred fish and the immense water pressure, the overwhelmed water tank suddenly burst open.

Amidst the screams of the crowd, glass shards and over a hundred fish flew outward, scattering into the crowd.

Although no one was injured, the sudden turn of events instantly plunged the venue into chaos.

A single piranha happened to fly along with the explosion, landing right at Tei’s feet.

Separated from the water, no matter how fierce it was, it was left with nothing but the ability to flop around on the ground.

At the same time, flying over alongside the piranha was a pretty little top hat.

Tei reached out and picked it up.

Looking back toward the empty stage, there were only those manacles, chains, and a few torn fragments of clothing, proving that a tiny magician had once existed there.

Was she devoured so completely that not even scraps were left?

Or was her body torn to pieces by the fish, her remains scattered in all directions by the explosion?

The chaos persisted for quite a while, and an underground performance naturally lacked staff to maintain order.

Just as Tei was beginning to suspect whether an actual performance accident had occurred, a seductive voice capable of sending shivers down one’s spine echoed right beside his ear.

“Hello there~ Cute little big brother, could you return the hat in your hand to me~”

Turning his head abruptly, Tei found the girl standing on the step behind him, her waist bent slightly.

Her head had somehow already leaned close to his face, tilting sideways as she looked at him with a beaming smile.

Not to mention him, even Belladonna and Hydra beside him hadn’t noticed the girl’s approach.

To silently creep up on two Reapers with stellar combat records and a Raven was undoubtedly terrifying.

“Mm-hmm~ What’s wrong? You can’t? Do I need to pay a little price to get my hat back? That’s fine too, you know~”

The girl tapped her finger against her lips, using the most innocent tone to speak the most provocative words.

She was the absolute spitting image of an enchanting little vixen.

Even an improper fellow like Tei felt his heart skip a few beats.

“N-No… here, giving it back to you.”

Being a slack-jawed, improper guy was one thing, but in all his time, when had Tei ever experienced a scene where a girl came right up to flirt with him like this?

How was this a person?

This was a living, breathing little succubus, an enchanting little vixen!

Tilting her head slightly, her excessively delicate little face wore a seductive yet adorable smile.

Paired with her explicitly provocative remarks and elegant demeanor, it completely displayed the girl’s heart-captivating charm.

The beautiful mini dress on her body was quite torn.

While it made her entire presence appear even bolder and more revealing, it happened to expose nothing that shouldn’t be exposed, making one wonder if the piranhas had done it on purpose.

The tattered clothing made the girl before his eyes all the more alluring, while simultaneously evoking a trace of pity in one’s heart.

Case in point, the pure-hearted youth had already turned red all the way to the base of his neck.

“Hahaha~ You’re really cute~ If there’s an opportunity in the future, we should definitely hang out together~”

Reaching out, she took the little top hat and placed it on her head.

A light tap of her short boot kicked the cane on the ground right into her hand.

The tiny magician began to loudly proclaim her presence.

“Hi! Friends! Was everyone happy and satisfied with today’s first act!”

The girl’s voice undoubtedly drew the entire room’s focus back onto her.

Seeing that she was safe and sound, the audience that had been in disarray moments ago became even wilder, cheering one after another and applauding her splendid performance.

“BLOOD! FIRE! SOULS! This is an indispensable show~ I wonder, my dear friends, did you enjoy today’s blood!”

Having zero intention of maintaining order—or rather, in her eyes, this kind of feast only thrived in chaos and had no need for order’s existence.

The tiny magician walked with elegant steps, passing through the crowd of frantic audience members, and returned once more to the stage…
