Join the ServerWait, it was a cute boy?!
I took a good, hard look at that girl—no, that boy.
He looked a lot like the owner lady, his sister.
He was around fourteen or fifteen, not very tall, with bright, clear eyes, a delicate little nose, fair, smooth skin, and a head of lovely short pink hair.
Even though he wore plain, unisex clothes, they couldn’t hide his refined, handsome features.
Overall, he looked like a younger, flat-chested version of his sister.
He… was really a guy?
“Alright, alright, stop complaining.
Get back to work.”
“Hmph.”
The waiter responded with an unhappy snort.
His voice was pretty androgynous—honestly, if I only went by his voice, I never would have guessed he was a guy.
After forcing myself to eat dinner with Frey so as not to raise any suspicion, the sky was getting dark.
Frey went to get a room.
“Two rooms, staying just one night.
We’ll probably eat a bit more later too.”
“Oh, really?”
The pretty owner glanced at the two of us.
“Sorry, we’re full.
Only one double room left.”
Huh?
Full right when it was my turn?
What terrible luck.
“No way… then—” “It’s fine.
We’ll take that room.”
I said nonchalantly.
After all, I didn’t need to sleep anyway, so there was no point fussing over it or finding another place.
The owner lady smiled brightly at me after I said that.
Was she happy I compromised instead of going to another inn?
It didn’t really look like that.
“Hey, sis.”
The cute boy walked over.
“Two guests just checked out of their single rooms, by the way.”
Oh, looks like my luck wasn’t so bad after all.
“Oh, great.
I’ll take those two rooms.”
Frey said quickly.
The owner lady looked at the three of us, her smile growing even brighter.
What was so funny about all this anyway?
There was still a lot of time left, so I decided to go out and take a look around.
The previous few nights, I’d just been staring at the moon, bored out of my mind.
Now that I was finally in a place with people, I had to go have some fun!
On my way downstairs, I ran into the waiter from before.
“Miss, are you going out for a stroll?”
“Yeah, that’s right.”
“I, I happen to be free right now.
Why don’t I come along with you?
I can be your free guide.”
“…Sure, that’d be great.
Thanks, young man.”
I smiled at him slightly, happy to have someone to show me around.
“Thank you for your appreciation, Miss.
My name is Warren Stein.
Please feel free to call me Warren.”
“Alright, Warren.
You can call me Rosa.
No time like the present—let’s head out.”
“Yes, Miss Rosa.”
And so, we set off together.
Even though it was night, the streets were brightly lit.
Pedestrians came and went, and there were even children playing and running around.
This world surprisingly had a vibrant nightlife.
“If I may ask, what is that gentleman’s relationship to you, Miss Rosa?”
As we walked, Warren asked a seemingly casual question.
“Oh, him?
He’s my cousin.
His name is Frey.”
That was the cover story Frey and I had agreed on.
“Is that so…”
A faint smile tugged at the corner of Warren’s lips.
I hadn’t paid much attention when we first entered town, but now that I was leisurely walking down the street, I saw all sorts of interesting shops.
There was a blacksmith’s—a muscular, bare-chested man hammering away at metal.
There was a magic shop—a person wearing a wizard’s hat sitting inside selling magical items.
All of these felt incredibly novel to me.
Back before I transmigrated, I’d never seen anything like them.
This world’s RPG flavor was becoming stronger and stronger in my mind.
Unfortunately, the snacks here, as well as the food at the inn earlier, couldn’t compare to what I’d had back on Earth.
It was more like just trying something new for the sake of it.
“Miss Rosa, I highly recommend this shop.
It has the best clothes and accessories in the entire city.”
“…”
No, sorry.
I wasn’t really into that kind of thing.
But since Warren had been working so hard as my guide, I didn’t want to shoot him down.
“Alright, let’s take a quick look.”
I’ll just browse and leave—I decided internally.
“Welcome, you two lovely young ladies.”
The shopkeeper was a beautiful woman, beaming at us with delight.
“Madame Tolia, I’ve told you so many times—I’m a boy.”
Warren seemed to know the shopkeeper.
Had he come here often to buy clothes?
Perhaps guessing what I was thinking, Warren quickly added, “I used to come here to buy things for my sister.”
“Oh.”
“Haha, just kidding.
And who might this young lady be?”
“She’s a guest at the inn.
I’m showing her around.”
“I see… Come, come, miss.
I highly recommend this dress.”
Following her gesture, I saw an exquisite black-and-white Gothic Lolita dress.
The moment I imagined myself in that outfit with my current body… I’d undoubtedly become the perfect loli in my own eyes!
I felt my face grow hot again.
“You really want to try it on, don’t you?
Go ahead, give it a shot!”
The shopkeeper urged me on.
“N-no, thanks… I don’t have money to buy it.”
“It’s fine even if you don’t buy it—try-ons are free.
That dress is so perfect for you… just let me see you in it.
You’ll look amazing.”
“I… I don’t wear this kind of thing.”
I muttered bashfully.
“Then let me help you put it on.”
“Ugh…”
What should I do?
Did I have any excuse left?
“I’ll take that as a yes.
Come on!”
She grabbed me without another word and dragged me inside.
A moment later, I emerged, forcibly dressed in the outfit.
Looking at the cute loli in the mirror… I wanted to commit a crime!
Unfortunately, the person in the mirror was me.
“Alright, I think I’ve tried it on.
I can change back now—”
“Oh dear, I’m so sorry, miss.
I accidentally dropped your original clothes into a bucket of water just now.”
Wait, what?!
This shop was clearly running a robbery operation, absolutely!
“Miss Rosa, let me buy it for you.”
Just as I was about to say something, Warren spoke up.
“Eh?
Are you sure?”
“Yes, it’s fine.
It’s just a little money.”
Warren smiled at me, his face completely flushed.
Seeing him look so pleased with himself, I didn’t have the heart to refuse.
After leaving the shop, now the unwilling owner of an adorable Lolita dress, I didn’t feel like walking around anymore.
But I definitely didn’t want to continue our journey wearing this outfit, so I bought a few other sets of clothes to wear later before heading back to the inn.
