Chapter 22: Hanabi, the Famous Director.

“I-I can’t move anymore…”

“Idiot, running and jumping around like that, of course you can’t last long.”

By the time noon approached, Naruto had almost exhausted his stamina, leaving Sasuke beside him speechless.

After entering the forest, Naruto had been jumping up and down, looking left and right, his activity level at least three times that of Sasuke.

“Let’s rest here for a bit.”

Coincidentally, the two arrived at a ranger’s hut. Sasuke took a logbook from his backpack, found a stamp inside the hut, stamped the logbook, and checked off the patrol item.

Patrolling wasn’t for slacking off; at every patrol point, they had to “clock in.”

Moreover, they couldn’t just slack off carelessly. If any safety hazards appeared in places they had checked and marked as cleared, they would be held accountable.

Although Naruto jumped around, he was at least very thorough with the inspections.

“I’m exhausted.” Naruto sprawled out on the ground, limbs spread wide.

Sasuke, on the other hand, stretched his limbs a bit.

“The hardest part about weights is endurance. At first, they didn’t feel that heavy, but after walking for half a day, these things have become quite unbearable.”

Sasuke fell into thought.

At school, he and Hanabi hadn’t really fought, or rather, girls and boys generally fought separately.

As one of the few girls who didn’t bother him, Sasuke had a decent impression of Hanabi, but this impression was never about “strength.”

However, yesterday’s Hanabi was able to command him and Naruto to snatch the bells from Kakashi, a Jonin.

“Is my strength still lacking…”

After eating dry rations and resting for a while, Naruto became active again: “Sasuke, Sasuke, we should get going!”

“Take it easy, idiot.”

Sasuke was somewhat speechless. Naruto’s energy consumption was several times his own, yet he had recovered and was full of vitality again, which was ridiculous.

“Hehe, I’ll tell you a secret.”

Naruto winked at Sasuke, looking like “I wouldn’t tell just anyone.”

“Actually, I’ve been to this place several times. I’ve fished here and even met Old Man Third (Hokage) several times. I’m very familiar with this place!”

Sasuke finally understood why Naruto was so excited.

It turned out this was like the Monkey King returning to Flower Fruit Mountain.

“There’s no danger in this place, just listen to me and—”

Naruto suddenly stopped mid-sentence.

Because just then, a rustling sound came from the bushes in front of him.

“Naruto, get back.” Sasuke took out a kunai, feeling a bit tense too. “Who’s there, come out!”

“Pfft—”

A wild boar piglet jumped out from the bushes.

“Haha, what was that?”

Naruto breathed a sigh of relief. But then Naruto felt a vibration coming from beneath his feet.

“Is it an earthquake?” Naruto scratched his head.

Sasuke’s pupils contracted; he immediately sensed something.

“Come back, idiot!”

Sasuke grabbed Naruto, who was walking towards the wild boar.

And almost in the next instant, a wild boar as huge as a hill rushed out from inside.

This wild boar was obviously quite angry, its eyes red, making strange noises. With every step it ran, the entire forest seemed to tremble.

“Whoa ahhh!” This giant wild boar made Naruto scream strangely too.

“Run!”

Sasuke took Naruto and began running for their lives.

“Damn it, these weights—”

Sasuke immediately wanted to take off the weights, but he found that putting them on was easy, but taking them off wasn’t so convenient!

Since they couldn’t be removed, they could only run desperately.

It was incredible to say, but the two of them had clearly exhausted a lot of stamina before and hadn’t recovered, yet now their speed was quite fast.

“Isn’t this going a bit too far?” Kakashi and Hanabi on the tree branch watched the two being chased by the “Boar Car,” wondering if Hanabi was being too excessive.

“Just right.”

Hanabi smiled, but coupled with the half-face fox mask, it gave off a feeling that she was enjoying it no matter how you looked at it.

“Whether it’s Naruto or Sasuke, their physical fitness and potential are excellent. But they are completely wasting their potential,” Hanabi said. “They are already twelve years old now, about to enter puberty. Strengthening their training is what should be done.”

“Chakra originates from the hundred trillion cells of the human body.”

Yes, human cells in the Naruto world are more than double those of people in the “real” world.

“But children haven’t developed strong bodies yet, so many people can’t release jutsu at this age.”

Sasuke being able to use the Fireball Jutsu was already quite genius in Kakashi’s eyes.

It’s like a twenty-kilogram dumbbell; an adult can lift it, but it’s not so easy for a child. Children have smaller builds and fewer cells than adults, so refining chakra capable of using ninjutsu isn’t easy.

But Naruto and Sasuke were exceptions.

“Ninja Academy education is general education, but when facing elites, separate elite education is required,” Hanabi said.

“Didn’t expect your evaluation of them to be so high.” Kakashi was somewhat surprised.

“Kakashi-sensei’s evaluation with me is also very high. If Kakashi-sensei could pull himself together, I think even facing the Sannin, you could go 50/50, right?” Hanabi smiled.

“Don’t joke. Facing the Sannin, barely managing to hold my own would be good enough.” After speaking, Kakashi looked at Hanabi again. “I’m also curious about how your training is, Hanabi?”

“It’s the sword,” Hanabi said. “I’m best at the sword.”

An unexpected answer.

Then, Hanabi extended her right hand, while her left hand formed a seal.

“Ephemeral Bloom—”

An ice sword manifested in Hanabi’s hand.

“Secret Sword · Ephemeral Bloom.”

“Ice Style?!” Kakashi was startled, but then he realized that wasn’t the case. “Wait, is it a Summoning Jutsu?”

Hanabi recalled the feeling of synchronizing with Jingliu in her memory. Her body moved with the sword, elegant and beautiful, yet within this beauty, there seemed to be a hidden danger.

“Is it okay to show me this?” Kakashi asked.

“Why not?”

This was one of her trump cards, but it couldn’t be considered a complete trump card.

So at a time like this, having someone “endorse” her was naturally the best choice. Although Kakashi was unreliable, Hanabi chose Kakashi at this moment because Kakashi wouldn’t delve too deeply into this aspect.

With Kakashi’s “endorsement,” using such moves in Konoha later wouldn’t be such a big problem.

“If possible, I’d like to experience Kakashi-sensei’s swordsmanship. Kakashi-sensei, since you have nothing to do, why don’t we practice?”

“Cough cough, Sensei has lost his way on the path of life. Swordsmanship and such, let’s forget it.”

Although he couldn’t say it was completely abandoned, Kakashi truly didn’t know where he had thrown his family’s swordsmanship.

The key was that Kakashi couldn’t be tough; if he got tough, maybe Hanabi would perform another reality show right in front of him.

While the two conversed, Naruto and Sasuke over there had already crossed a river and arrived in front of a waterfall.

“Jump, Sasuke, jump!” Naruto was about to jump, but found Sasuke stopped in place.

“Idiot, we have weights on us. If we jump down, we’ll sink to the bottom!” Sasuke tried to cut the weights with a kunai but found there was no way.

“No choice then, right here—defeat this guy!”

Naruto gritted his teeth. It was a dead end now: “Shadow Clone Jutsu!”

Countless clones went towards the enraged wild boar, but all turned into puffs of smoke. The mountain-like wild boar was like an unstoppable heavy truck (Great Luck Truck), vowing to let Naruto and Sasuke taste the greatness of the “Power of Isekai”!

“Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!” Animals are afraid of fire, so Sasuke immediately used the Fireball Jutsu, hoping to force the wild boar to stop.

Unexpectedly, attacked by the Fireball Jutsu, the wild boar not only didn’t retreat but became even more enraged.

“Sasuke, use the lasso! The more the better!” Naruto suddenly had a bright idea in his desperation.

What use could a lasso have?

Sasuke didn’t think he and Naruto had the strength to stop the wild boar with a lasso.

But upon hearing Naruto’s words, Sasuke’s hands moved faster than his brain. Facing the charging wild boar, loops of rope were lassoed onto its body. But just as Sasuke thought, these ropes couldn’t suppress the wild boar at all.

“Give it to me!” Naruto took the rope and then jumped straight down the waterfall.

“Shadow Clone Jutsu!”

“…I see, using Shadow Clones to increase weight!”

Hundreds of Narutos pressed down on the rope’s end, while hundreds more appeared at the wild boar’s side.

“One two! Charge!”

Countless Narutos slammed into it. The already fragile cliff face collapsed a chunk, almost making the wild boar fall, but this wild boar was surprisingly agile and actually maintained its balance at the last moment.

“Ya!”

At the critical moment, Sasuke rushed over and kicked the wild boar, becoming the last straw that broke the camel’s back.

“Oink oink—!”

The originally red-eyed wild boar seemed to wake up in mid-air but was powerless to do anything, crashing down to the bottom of the waterfall with a boom.

“Naruto!”

Sasuke came to the edge of the cliff and looked down, only to find Naruto hanging upside down there. A red rope held Naruto’s foot, and the owner of the rope was Hanabi, standing on the other side.

And Kakashi stood not far away, holding Make-Out Paradise.

“So that’s how it is.”

Sasuke also lay on the ground.

Now he understood everything.
