Join the ServerA dim, gloomy cell.
It was already deep into the night, the pristine moonlight filtering through the iron bars to cast patterns upon the ground. Within the shadowy confines of the cell, Zhang Liang lay utterly still, his limbs bound by four thick, unyielding chains.
He clenched his fists, gritted his teeth, and strained with every ounce of his strength against the chains, the veins bulging prominently along his neck a stark testament to his struggle.
One second, two seconds, three seconds…
His entire body, muscles trembling from the prolonged tension, finally gave way, abruptly slumping as he gasped for breath in ragged, desperate gulps.
Sweat streamed down Zhang Liang’s face, a flicker of raw terror etched between his brows.
‘Where am I?!’
‘Why can’t I access my battle qi or sword intent?!’
He tugged at the chains once more, yet they showed not the slightest give, merely rattling with a resonant clang.
“Creak—!”
The rusty, dilapidated iron door groaned open with an ear-splitting screech, causing Zhang Liang’s heart to lurch. He lifted his gaze, utterly astonished by the woman who stood before him, then fixed her with a look brimming with murderous intent.
He yearned for his eyes to unleash lasers, to incinerate the woman before him where she stood.
“…”
Zhang Liang had intended to confront the woman, but he froze, realizing he could not utter a single sound.
Catching sight of Zhang Liang’s bruised and battered form, Xi Lan’s delicate face flushed with a faint blush. She cradled her cheeks in her hands, her expression distant and dazed, utterly enraptured by the love she had bestowed upon him.
“Ah~!”
Tilting her head askew, her cherry-blossom eyes held nothing but a wild, unrestrained fervor. Her moist, fragrant tongue traced her crimson lips as she let out a sickly, bizarre, and utterly deranged giggle.
“Hee hee hee hee~”
“You~ why must you be so naughty? Am I not good enough? Can I not satisfy you? Why do you insist on approaching those other women?”
Her pristine, jade-like hand picked up a short sword, gently tracing it across Zhang Liang’s immobilized body. The sharp blade sliced through his skin—one cut… then two… then three—blood immediately gushing forth, a horrifying sight.
Zhang Liang felt an unbearable agony, struggling desperately with a face contorted in pain, yet the chains’ relentless grip rendered him utterly helpless.
Within him churned only boundless terror and despair; he was a lamb prepared for slaughter.
He could not comprehend Xi Lan’s words, and her mention of other women bewildered him even further.
“Do you know how much I love you? Ah~ I must make you feel my love deeply~ That way, you’ll never leave me~”
“Your flesh is mine, your soul is mine, everything about you is mine!”
Xi Lan bent down, her tongue darting out to lick the trickling blood, while her hands glided over his throat, his collarbones, and his chest.
“Ah~ Delicious blood, like sweet dew, all of it mine~”
Her pale, sculpted face, like ice and jade, and her sacred, silken hair were now stained with blood, while hot breaths escaped from her crimson lips.
“Don’t be afraid~ It will be over soon~ We will be together forever~”
Xi Lan’s sickly sweet tone sent a shiver of dread through Zhang Liang. He struggled with all his might, but in the next instant, a blood-soaked blade erupted from his back.
“I’ll eat you up~ from here to there~ devour every last bit~ and then we’ll be together forever~ Huhu hu~”
One strike, two strikes, three strikes—splattering blood ran down Xi Lan’s deranged face. Her expression was utterly rapt, hot breaths parting her beautiful lips as she reveled in the moment.

“Damn it!”
Zhang Liang jolted awake from his nightmare. He stared at the notebook on his desk, damp with sweat, and it took a considerable moment for his frantically pounding heart to finally settle.
[Xi Lan’s Darkening Plan, Version 99 (If I change it again, I’m a dog)]
This was the house Zhang Liang had freeloaded from Murong Xue: a three-story villa, exquisitely decorated in a fantastical yet minimalist style.
The previous night, Zhang Liang had been drafting Xi Lan’s darkening plan, only to fall asleep mid-sentence.
His original scheme involved cultivating a close relationship with Xi Lan, making her fall deeply in love with him. Then, at the peak of her affection, he would cruelly abandon her, openly displaying intimacy with other women right before her eyes.
What followed was the scene from his nightmare.
Xi Lan had indeed gone dark, but this wasn’t the right direction at all! She had even ‘yandere-d’ him.
The mere thought of Xi Lan’s deranged face, tormenting him with bloodlust, sent a chill down Zhang Liang’s spine.
This was far more terrifying than her simply gaining cheat-like powers; it was a fate worse than death itself.
Someone with peculiar fetishes might have been ecstatic, considering the beautiful, white-haired girl before him.
Zhang Liang, however, harbored no such inclinations.
Tearing the notebook into shreds, he tossed it into the wastebasket. From a drawer, he retrieved a fresh notebook, on the cover of which was inscribed: [Xi Lan’s Darkening Plan, Version 100 (If I change it again, I’m not even a dog)].
Zhang Liang shouldn’t have needed to rack his brains so much, primarily because Xu Fang had dropped the ball.
After being rescued, she had quickly awakened under Ying’s care, and Teacher Fan had even granted her a chance to retake the exam.
Up until this point, Zhang Liang had been quite pleased, declaring the teacher to be conscientious and humane.
However, Xu Fang had failed to live up to expectations, missing the passing mark by a mere point.
Zhang Liang had intended to pull some strings, to use a backdoor to get her admitted so she could wreak havoc on Xi Lan.
To his utter surprise, before Zhang Liang could even ask Murong Xue for help, Xu Fang had already given up.
Not only that, but she had also reconciled with Xi Lan, promising to meet again next year.
Witnessing them embrace and weep together, Zhang Liang, too, shed genuine tears.
His perfectly sourced, high-quality employee was gone!
Xi Lan had many friends, and he could still cultivate new ’employees,’ so he hadn’t thought it would be a major issue. Yet, to his dismay, Xi Lan’s friends were truly incompetent.
Most of them had utterly failed, with only a select few managing to enroll, and even those were relegated to the regular classes.
Given the differing educational policies between the regular and advanced classes, opportunities for them to meet were exceedingly rare.
All in all, Zhang Liang’s previous plans had completely fallen apart.
Coupled with the risks of Version 99, Zhang Liang was completely stuck.
To make Xi Lan turn dark, a crucial condition was currently missing.
A third party.
Only after countless betrayals, endless misunderstandings, and perpetual isolation would a person slowly descend into darkness.
This force, however, did not yet exist.
If only there were some catalyst, the riskier the better, for only then could Xi Lan witness the true ugliness of human nature.
Birds chirped outside as the morning sunlight streamed into every corner of the room. Zhang Liang checked the time, noting he still had two hours before class.
Pondering this, Zhang Liang frowned, crossing his arms over his chest as he leaned back against the chair.
‘What should I do about Lin Na?’
He had been admitted to Advanced Class C, which happened to be Lin Na’s class.
She had mistaken him for the Demonic Sword Sovereign. At the orientation ceremony two days prior, he had intended to clarify the misunderstanding, but she seemed to be deliberately avoiding him.
Ying had claimed she would handle the matter, yet two days had passed since her confident assertion, and there was still no sign of progress.
At this thought, Zhang Liang’s leg began to twitch, not from fear, but from sheer frustration. He felt as though nothing was going smoothly; every path he took led to an obstacle.
Lin Na was not only a teacher but also the disciple of Principal Bai Huo. Zhang Liang worried she might use her authority to expel him from the academy.
If that happened, all his meticulously laid plans would come to naught.
“Ding-dong!” The doorbell rang from the first floor.
Zhang Liang was curious who would be calling so early in the morning. After much thought, he concluded it could only be Ying, likely coming to forewarn him that she had failed to convince Lin Na.
“Coming.”
Zhang Liang opened the door, and a gentle breeze swept in, carrying a refreshing fragrance into his nostrils. The person standing before him startled him so much that he nearly choked on his own saliva.
“Good morning…” Lin Na tucked a strand of her long purple hair behind her ear, greeting Zhang Liang politely.
