‘Chirp, chirp, chirp.’
The morning birds, disturbed by the air currents from a swiftly passing sword, fluttered wildly.
Soon, having regained their balance on the branches, they began to chirp in protest.
Inside the room, Xiao Xixi, the little fox, heard the protesting chirps but paid them no mind, her attention solely fixed on the meal she cradled in her hands.
However, unlike the little fox girl, Bai Luozhu, who held her, could discern from the birds’ cries that her master was clearly in a great hurry.
‘Why was Master rushing down the mountain so early?’
As this thought arose, Bai Luozhu quickly recalled the matter her master had mentioned last night when she visited: a surprise inspection of the outer disciples’ dormitories for prohibited items.
Considering her master’s hasty departure, Bai Luozhu couldn’t help but feel a surge of admiration. ‘Master is truly Master,’ she mused. ‘She never procrastinates, and her timing is impeccable. Judging by the sky outside, it must be the time for the outer disciples’ unified morning practice. Taking the elders to inspect the dorms now will surely yield a bountiful harvest.’
After a brief moment of silent reverence for her master’s noble character, Bai Luozhu’s attention quickly shifted to the adorable junior sister her master had just handed over.
Xiao Xixi, with her delicate frame, was clad only in a floral dress, barely covering the crucial parts of her luminous, pale body.
Her two small hands were clutching a bowl even larger than her face.
Observing this from the side, Bai Luozhu initially saw nothing amiss.
However, now that she held the little one in her arms, seeing her up close, a sense of unease settled in. Something just didn’t feel right.
‘Eating without proper clothes on must be uncomfortable, right?’
‘And if soup were to spill directly onto her, how would she even wipe it off?’
The cautious Bai Luozhu pondered these practicalities.
The next second, she gently placed Xiao Xixi on the bed, only to be met with the little girl’s bewildered gaze, her head tilted, her large eyes blinking.
Seeing Xiao Xixi’s puzzled expression, Bai Luozhu paused.
For some inexplicable reason, a peculiar impulse stirred within her.
Fortunately, as Purple Cloud Peak’s only direct disciple, Bai Luozhu typically maintained a cool, cautious demeanor towards her fellow disciples to uphold her status as the senior sister.
Thus, she managed to suppress any strange reactions to Xiao Xixi’s unintentionally adorable display.
After clearing her throat twice and silently reciting the ‘Heart-Cleansing Incantation’ twice more, Bai Luozhu, now composed, addressed Xiao Xixi, who was still clutching her rice bowl as if fearing it would be snatched away.
“Xixi, dear, please put the bowl down. I’ll help you change your clothes before I feed you.”
Hearing Bai Luozhu call her ‘Xixi,’ Xiao Xixi felt a pang of embarrassment.
After all, being given a ‘reduplicated’ name was already a bit mortifying for her, having once been male.
Now, hearing this newly coined, affectionate nickname, Xiao Xixi felt a wave of shame so intense it could reach the heavens.
Just as she was about to discuss this ‘name’ with her senior sister, Bai Luozhu, a sudden realization struck Xiao Xixi.
She remembered the ‘well-intentioned lie’ she had told her older brother about her senior sister just two days prior.
Recalling that lie, Xiao Xixi subconsciously glanced at Bai Luozhu’s feet today.
She noticed that Senior Sister Bai was wearing a pair of delicate, lotus-embroidered hibiscus boots on her fair ankles.
Seeing those snowy, beautiful feet, only slightly larger than her own tiny ones, and recalling her brother’s ‘biological weapon’ from yesterday morning, a profound sense of guilt washed over Xiao Xixi.
Her conscience weighed heavily, and because of this guilt, she ultimately did not refuse Bai Luozhu’s affectionate address, simply nodding her small head.
Unaware of Xiao Xixi’s internal turmoil, Bai Luozhu, seeing her junior sister obediently nod her head on the bed, wasn’t concerned about the name. She simply found her junior sister quite well-behaved.
With the little one’s consent, Bai Luozhu’s gaze swept around the room, quickly spotting a pair of white shorts on a stone stool. After another scan of the room, Bai Luozhu looked puzzled.
Given that shorts were essentially ‘panties,’ where was the little one’s ‘bra’ or ‘dudou’?
After searching every corner of the room with her divine sense and finding nothing, Bai Luozhu turned her attention to Xiao Xixi, who sat obediently on the bed.
As she searched for the ‘dudou’ and observed Xiao Xixi’s rather modest figure, Bai Luozhu’s confusion lifted. It seemed her junior sister didn’t yet need a ‘dudou.’
Seeing Xiao Xixi’s undeveloped figure, Bai Luozhu instinctively glanced down at her own subtly swelling bosom. A faint smile finally graced her usually stoic, ice-beauty face.
For the first time, she felt a sense of feminine confidence in front of her junior sister.

Xiao Xixi had no idea that she had unknowingly comforted her Senior Sister Luozhu just moments ago.
At present, she only felt intensely shy.
After all, because of the ‘nickname’ incident, her subconscious nod meant her senior sister was now going to change her clothes.
While ancient dresses were indeed cumbersome to put on, unlike modern women’s clothing that could simply be slipped on from above, Xiao Xixi hadn’t yet mastered the process and truly needed her senior sister’s help.
Yet, the thought of being eighteen years old and still needing to be held and dressed filled Xiao Xixi with profound embarrassment.
Seeing the little girl’s face flush crimson, her head bowed in shyness, yet still passively allowing herself to be handled, Bai Luozhu felt a familiar surge, much like yesterday morning—a desire to interact with the little girl more deeply.
To explore her true feelings and resolve the inner ‘demonic obstacle’ that plagued her, Bai Luozhu gently took the rice bowl from the little girl’s hands and set it aside.
Then, she pulled away the clothes her junior sister was holding in front of herself for modesty, as they would be worn shortly. With these coverings removed, Bai Luozhu once again saw Xiao Xixi in her true form.
Although Bai Luozhu had witnessed this two days prior when the little girl transformed, and had even savored the exquisite sensation of her skin, on that day, the little one’s body had appeared front-on.
Honestly, during the transformation, Bai Luozhu had been so engrossed in the incredibly soft skin that she hadn’t observed Xiao Xixi’s body too closely.
Now, up close in the morning light, gazing at the unclad Xiao Xixi, whose paleness seemed to almost shimmer, Bai Luozhu felt an urge to touch her silky skin once more.
This thought momentarily made her forget her purpose, her hand holding the undergarments frozen in mid-air.
Fortunately, a faint, mosquito-like voice soon broke Bai Luozhu’s reverie.
“Xi… Luozhu, Senior Sister, I-I’m so… so cold…”
The ‘Xixi’ sound, of course, came from the recently transformed little fox girl.
Xiao Xixi saying ‘so cold’ wasn’t entirely truthful. In fact, being observed so closely by Senior Sister Luozhu not only didn’t make her cold, but the sheer embarrassment made every inch of her body burn with heat.
Seeing her senior sister’s almond eyes still lost in thought, Xiao Xixi, to avoid dying of shame, resorted to another white lie.
Thankfully, the lie had some effect. Xiao Xixi noticed Senior Sister Luozhu finally snapped back to attention upon hearing her voice.
Just as she breathed a sigh of relief, thinking she could finally put on her clothes, she heard her Senior Sister Luozhu slowly say, “Xixi, dear, spread your legs.”
