“Forget her!”
After a moment of hesitation, Arius still shook his head. ‘Impossible…’
How could Allyrose, a mere cheat, possibly defeat a Calamity-tier magical beast?
Her current confidence, he mused, was likely a ploy. She probably intended to flee the moment he and Vivian left, fabricating a story later about how she’d fought the Cyclops to a standstill. In short, it was simply…
‘Purely an attempt to renege on the bet!’
A cold sneer touched Arius’s lips at the thought. He immediately handed Vivian, who was still in his arms, to Tok, who stood nearby, and then spoke:
“Tok, take Vivian back for now. I need to stay and wait for a bit…”
Vivian, abruptly passed to someone else, blinked in bewildered surprise. Meanwhile, the green-haired Tok was overjoyed, eagerly taking the blonde loli into his arms.
Tears streamed down his face as he thought, ‘Arius is truly my best brother!’ He then excitedly pledged:
“No problem, leave her to me!”
“Ugh…”
The blonde loli immediately gasped, a shiver running down her spine. ‘Oh, dear gods, being held by this sweaty man… it’s disgusting.’
‘I object! I have issues!’
A moment later, the blonde loli couldn’t help but show a hint of a wronged expression. She silently patted Tok’s shoulder, then spoke:
“Tok, please put me down. I… I feel much better now, I don’t need to be carried anymore…”
“Eh? How can I do that, Vivian? Don’t worry, I’ll definitely escort you back to school…”
“Put me down! I said put me down… are you deaf?!”
Hearing Vivian’s displeased tone, Tok’s entire body tensed. He quickly lowered her to the ground, and Vivian, barely able to stand, finally caught her breath.
She then offered a practiced smile, feigning shyness, and with a blush, spoke to Tok:
“I’m sorry, Big Brother Tok, but today… there are too many classmates around. Being carried like this… it’s not good…”
“Uh…”
Tok nodded silently, though he sensed something was amiss. ‘Why didn’t Vivian seem shy when Arius carried her?’
‘Hmm… perhaps my movements weren’t appropriate?’
After successfully tricking the foolish Tok, Vivian cast a resentful gaze towards Arius. Seeing the Second Prince’s eyes fixed on the woman she despised most, Vivian frowned slightly.
‘What… what exactly is this guy up to? What’s he trying to pull here?’
‘Could it be…’
‘This guy has a crush on Allyrose?!’
‘Hmm…’
Vivian wasn’t foolish, however. After only a moment, she understood Arius’s true intention, and her gaze shifted towards Allyrose.
‘Hmph… fine then. Let’s see how Allyrose plans to deal with a Calamity-tier magical beast!’
****
The air suddenly fell silent.
Facing the Cyclops before her, Allyrose appeared as tiny as a kitten.
The ‘kitten’ delicately drew her Holy Sword, which gleamed with a chilling light. Yet, the sword’s cold radiance barely reached the Cyclops’s knees. The giant, bewildered, scanned the ground for its target, while Allyrose waited in quiet anticipation…
Innumerable holy light energies surged into the sword’s blade. A moment later, the Cyclops seemed to sense something, letting out a terrifying roar. It then violently pounded its chest, and its mountain-like fist lunged towards Allyrose!
‘Aha! This is it!’
With a resounding “Boom—!” Vivian excitedly rose onto her tiptoes. ‘No problem! Absolutely no problem!’
‘I saw it with my own eyes just now; the moment the Cyclops’s fist crashed down, Allyrose was still frozen in place, not moving a muscle!’
‘Now, that damned stench of a woman is definitely going to turn into Allyrose-chan! Haha~ She’ll be flattened into a bloody pulp, reduced to dust and ashes!’
Vivian’s excited gaze flickered, wavering, but… a moment later, as the smoke dissipated, an elegant figure gradually emerged within her pupils.
‘No…’
‘How is this possible?!’
In that instant, Vivian could barely believe her own eyes. Allyrose was completely unharmed; not only that, but she had already circled around to the Cyclops’s back…
She then raised the blade in her hand, agilely striking at the Cyclops’s ankle. With graceful ease, she unleashed wave after wave of sword energy. The Cyclops immediately began to howl in pain, yet, due to its unwieldy movements, it was utterly helpless against Allyrose.
The young woman swiftly circled the Cyclops’s feet, ‘trimming its ankles’ with effortless grace—a classic tactic against such colossal monsters. The Cyclops frantically stomped the ground, but each attempt was easily dodged by Allyrose.
Vivian watched the scene, still somewhat incredulous. ‘To think Allyrose could be so effortlessly skilled…’
A moment later, she could only mutter repeatedly to herself, ‘It’s… it’s fine. The Cyclops isn’t that weak. Calamity-tier magical beasts have all sorts of skills; as long as it unleashes its skills, as long as it unleashes its skills…’
Before Vivian could finish her desperate litany, the next second, Allyrose, having had her fun, suddenly raised her Holy Sword. It was already charged with the power of a four-stage staff strike… no, rather, filled with holy light energy.
Then, too lazy to even think of a name in her mind, she blurted out a shout:
“EXCALIBUR—!”
In an instant—a violent white light ripped through everyone’s vision. Vivian and Arius, stunned, could only hear a thunderous roar…
Immediately, an earth-shattering wave of sword energy shot upwards, directly striking the Cyclops’s body. The ground trembled and split!
“THUD—!”
****
‘How… how is this possible?’
The moment the Calamity-tier magical beast’s body crashed to the ground, Arius and Vivian hadn’t even processed what happened. If Jason hadn’t quickly yanked them away and then bolted, these two, who had stayed closest to observe, would have been crushed to death on the spot by the Cyclops’s corpse!
Phew~ Phew~
Everyone present—from Vivian’s quartet to the remaining students, and even the Principal and Teacher Yuna—was deep in thought at that moment. Only Allyrose remained, panting softly as she wiped sweat from her brow.
She then extended a hand, beckoning to Luo Jia, who stood nearby with a visibly bewildered look in his eyes, and promptly tossed the sword into his hand.
“Ah~ I’m exhausted! Whitey, put my sword away for me!”
‘This woman…’
Luo Jia remained silent for two seconds. Though as the Demon King, being publicly ordered around by this ‘bad woman’ always felt somewhat irritating, when he took the sword, he subtly frowned.
He immediately began to grasp why the woman before him had been able to defeat the Cyclops…
A moment later, Allyrose, having recovered her breath, let out a small chuckle. She then walked with amusement towards Arius, who was sitting on the ground, having been startled onto his backside.
She lightly tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, then asked playfully:
“Well, Prince Arius? Now… do you believe I truly am a Level 100 Holy Light user?”
