Chapter 45: A Sweet Nap Interrupted by Duty

Faint, delicate breaths were barely audible.

Her pristine white dragon wings and fluffy dragon tail were gathered around Noah like a comforting blanket.

She slept deeply and sweetly. Her gently closed eyes, long lashes, and slightly parted cherry lips collectively formed a serene sleeping face.

Noah was dressed in light, airy attire. She appeared as gracefully simple yet stunning as a mermaid basking in daylight.

The entire scene resembled a beautiful fairy tale. It was as if a slumbering white dragon princess awaited her prince to awaken her from her sweet dreams and guide her toward an even more wondrous fantasy.

“Meow…”

As if sensing Letitia’s approach, Noah’s eyes fluttered open sleepily. She then offered a gentle, contented smile.

“It’s the Demon Lord…Are you also here… to join me for a nap?”

After lunch back at the Demon Lord’s castle, Noah had passed through the garden.

As if drawn by an irresistible force, she had found herself drifting off to sleep on the soft grass. Not long after, Letitia, having just awakened herself, also happened upon the spot.

“No, I…”

Letitia, momentarily mesmerized, abruptly remembered the pressing matters awaiting her. Just as she was about to turn and leave, Noah sprang up and tackled her, sending them both tumbling onto the grass.

“Mmm… mmm…”

Letitia squirmed, attempting to break free, but Noah held her in a tight embrace. Though she yearned to escape, her struggles grew progressively weaker.

“There, there, my good Demon Lord… you need to rest well…”

Still hazy with sleep, Noah’s mind was clearly not yet fully awake.

Her eyes unfocused, she cradled Letitia in her arms, gently stroking the back of her head, much like a mother soothing a child.

The soft, tender sensation, enveloping her from all sides, utterly dissolved Letitia’s rationality. Though she had been brimming with energy moments ago, a sudden wave of drowsiness now washed over her.

She wished to sink forever into this healing tenderness, never to awaken again.

“My Demon Lord… *huff huff huff*… my Demon Lord…”

Noah seemed to be caught in a beautiful dream.

Her eyes closed, a blissful smile graced her perfectly sculpted face.

Noah’s restless long leg brushed against Letitia’s thigh. Her delicate, soft, and warm, plump skin glided along the outside of Letitia’s thigh, resting lightly upon it.

Despite the subtle pressure, there was no discomfort whatsoever. Letitia’s face flushed hot. Even her breath seemed to melt into the two immense mounds of softness enveloping her.

It was akin to two exquisite bouquets of fresh flowers. From being adjacent to touching, they then intertwined in a graceful and beautiful embrace.

Their branches and leaves wrapped around each other perfectly, forming a breathtaking new tableau. Though they could clearly distinguish between themselves, they felt inextricably linked, never to be separated.

“My Demon Lord…”

Uttering sweet murmurings, and intoxicated by the soft fragrance, Letitia nearly succumbed to this paradise, on the verge of never waking.

Yet, after indulging for a moment, she ultimately managed to break free from Noah’s tender embrace.

“My Demon Lord… my Demon Lord… huff huff huff…”

Noah’s soft arms did not attempt to hold her back.

A faint, happy smile lingered on her face, and her warm, gentle breaths rose and fell softly, as if she were still deep in a beautiful dream.

“Phew…”

Letitia touched her flushed cheek. A significant portion of Noah’s radiant body heat still lingered on her skin, and that soft, almost maternal embrace made Letitia’s pretty face blush faintly.

‘No, no, I have important matters to attend to!’

Letitia shook her head, trying to clear her jumbled thoughts. She settled into her office chair and began to review the documents on her desk.

Most of the documents delivered to the Demon Lord’s desk today were already approved papers, prepared by Avril and Astolfo.

Letitia merely needed to confirm them. The Crimson Knight, along with the three demon lords, Enlil, Augustus, and Engul, had led fifty thousand troops to the front lines, where they had rendezvoused with Claire’s vanguard…

‘That touch just now was so warm and soft; I wish I could experience it again…’

Silvya, the Dragonfeeder, had consolidated her forces and sworn fealty to the Demon Lord, promising a response regarding the fines and resources to be paid within three days… ‘How did her body develop like that? Why is she so fragrant and soft, almost addictive…’

Within Irithyll, signs of increased activity among resident adventurers had emerged.

The Hunting Knight suspected the presence of a resistance organization within the city and had requested an investigation…

‘I want to touch it, I want to bury myself in it… I want to taste that scent again; I can’t forget it, ahhh…’

“Ahhh! This is maddening!”

Having reviewed most of the documents with her thoughts in disarray, Letitia finally snapped, rising from her chair in a frenzy.

Even while approving official documents, her gaze couldn’t help but drift towards Noah’s location outside the door.

She herself felt utterly consumed by Noah’s presence.

‘I should rest for a bit first, and look at the rest once my mind settles.’

Letitia let out a long breath, striving to empty her mind and prevent her attention from wandering to the garden outside the door.

Inadvertently, her eyes fell upon an urgent dispatch on her desk.

“Report from the Deputy Knight Captain of Dunwich Town: Commander Clennina went missing this morning. Activities of the Abyssal Bishop, ‘The Defiled’ Ariana, have been detected.

Commander Clennina may have met with misfortune. Requesting immediate support from the Demon Lord’s Castle Central Army.”

Letitia shot upright from her chair, her deep crimson eyes wide with disbelief.

Clennina… how could she… But, given the current circumstances…A sudden headache pulsed behind Letitia’s temples.

She leaned back into her chair once more, a shadow of worry clouding her brow, as if grappling with a painful decision.

“My Demon Lord~, is something troubling you~?”

A pair of slender, soft hands settled onto Letitia’s shoulders, gently kneading them.

The practiced movements offered a measure of relaxation to Letitia’s tense body.

A sweet, somewhat hazy voice drifted to her ears.

Letitia turned her head slightly to see Noah, the Pure White Dragon Princess, draped over the back of her chair, gazing at her with a beaming smile.

Upon seeing that familiar, gentle smile, Letitia’s mind involuntarily cleared a little. She composed herself and spoke.

“It seems something has happened with Clennina.

I’m deliberating on who to dispatch to investigate.”
