Chapter 49: The Female Marquis Was Stunned by His Anger

Tarasha was going to fight one against three.

This wasn’t her trying to show off. She was directly responsible to the empress and had to personally test this guy’s level.

As a born assassin, she was made for one-on-one combat.

If she couldn’t defeat three students at this moment, she might as well resign early.

As for the one-on-three having a bad influence, being too arrogant and not giving the Papal State face.

When the time came, the embassy would just blame it on her personal insistence and decision.

She was meant to live in the shadows anyway; she didn’t care about her own reputation.

This so-called marquis title was also given to her temporarily by the empress before she left. Whether she wanted it or not, or if this honor was tarnished, it didn’t matter.

This way, she could ensure she would know Hall’s strength one hundred percent.

It was all part of the plan.

She had naturally thought of all the unexpected situations last night.

Himan and the others, on the other hand, were naturally angry.

She didn’t like the feeling of being looked down upon, and Young Master Andrei also felt that this female marquis from the northern country was too arrogant.

Although he had long heard that the women of Cateline were fierce, he didn’t expect them to be so willful in a national exchange.

Hmph, then he would teach Tarasha a good lesson.

Hall, on the other hand, thought, ‘Damn it, they really don’t plan on letting me go.’

Christine was purely watching for the fun of it. She was also happy to see Tarasha use more of her strength to force out Hall’s true level, so she could observe and judge.

Leticia, on the other hand, believed in Hall and wanted Hall to crush Tarasha.

At this moment, everyone with their own thoughts welcomed the start of the swordsmanship competition.

The center of the entire swordsmanship arena was a large 200×200 platform.

There was a magic circle protecting the area below the platform, and the effect of the magic circle was not limited to this. When activated, it would form a barrier that separated the outside from the inside.

Therefore, even if the contestants used their skills on it, it would not affect others. Furthermore, because the internal and external environments were separated, it could also effectively prevent cheating.

Tarasha stood at the far left of the platform with a silver sword.

On this side, Young Master Andrei went up first.

Young Master Andrei’s past impressive record made him not take Tarasha too seriously.

The glory of the Papal State’s nobles was born at the top of the Western Continent.

But Hall didn’t have high hopes for Young Master Andrei at all. He had seen Young Master Andrei’s profile card when he was playing Himan’s route and had Himan participate in the swordsmanship competition. His level cap was only in the low seventies, and there was a chasm of difference between his swordsmanship talent [B+] and Tarasha’s [A].

Because the game’s talent division system wasn’t just [B+] to [A]; there was an [A-] grade in between. And in the character development guides written by the experts, if a character had an [A] talent in a certain area, they could be developed to handle specific events in the late game.

And like Hall, old hands like the vice-principal, Marquis Chekhov, and Dean Morgan, also didn’t have high hopes for Young Master Andrei.

Although most of the reporters were not swordsmanship masters, they could tell from Tarasha’s tone that she was not simple.

That’s right, right now, only Young Master Andrei had high hopes for himself.

Then, in less than three minutes, Tarasha elegantly sheathed her long sword, not even looking at the fallen Young Master Andrei.

She said coldly.

“You lose.”

Young Master Andrei couldn’t accept it and didn’t move for a long time.

Vice-Principal Lied saw this was detrimental to public decency. People who didn’t know would think the Papal State couldn’t afford to lose.

So he clapped for Tarasha on one hand, and on the other hand, he instructed the security guards near the platform to drag Young Master Andrei away.

Himan, on the other hand, gasped.

She didn’t quite understand Tarasha’s swordsmanship just now, only that her speed was very fast, and it seemed that her goal was to defeat her opponent.

This was different from the swordsmanship that nobles learned. The swordsmanship that nobles learned was usually for showing off.

Killing and controlling the opponent were not the primary needs; looking good and having a good temperament were more important.

Although Himan had learned the Von Braun family’s knightly swordsmanship very seriously after being taught by Hall back then, she was still a girl, and killing was not what Himan wanted.

Her swordsmanship was not very aggressive right now, but she was a little scared now.

She was afraid she would lose.

Tarasha’s sword was too sharp, like the wind of the north.

In the year Hall’s reputation first collapsed, Himan was very irritable. She didn’t know how to face Hall.

So she went on a trip during the winter vacation that year. She went to Cateline.

It was often said that Cateline in winter was the real Cateline, and she remembered the various scenes she had seen in Cateline that year, but none of them left a deeper impression on her of that northern country than Tarasha’s sword that had just defeated Andrei.

“Who is my next opponent?”

Seeing Andrei, who had fallen in front of her, being carried out by the security guards near the platform.

Tarasha began to scan Hall with her eyes, not staying on Himan.

Her prey from beginning to end was only this black-haired young man.

Himan also noticed that Tarasha was looking at Hall. She thought for a moment and then walked forward.

She said faintly.

“It’s me.”

“Okay.”

Tarasha nodded to Himan, a hint of disappointment flashing in her eyes.

But she was still very confident in defeating Himan and didn’t think it would be difficult.

Himan, on the other hand, was nervous. She was very afraid of losing.

But she wasn’t stupid. She could see that Tarasha’s target was Hall.

‘Hall should really have strength,’ Himan thought.

Originally, she hoped that Hall could win a round in this swordsmanship competition and then change his current reputation in Holy Light University and even Saint Louis.

But Hall had just said that according to the tradition of the Papal State, he had to concede a round.

But then again, the plot had taken a turn. Tarasha was going for a three-peat, so Hall shouldn’t concede, right?

Would he use his full strength?

But Tarasha was very strong. Even if Hall used his full strength, he might not win.

Then she…

‘She could exhaust Tarasha first, right?’

If she won, Hall wouldn’t have to go on stage.

If she lost, Hall’s chances of winning later would increase a little.

“Phew…”

Just as Himan had adjusted her mindset and was about to walk onto the platform.

An arm suddenly appeared and blocked her.

“Himan, let me take this round.”

“Huh?”

Himan couldn’t believe it.

She didn’t expect Hall to change his mind at this time.

On the other side, Tarasha showed a happy expression.

It would be great if Hall came in the second round.

“Let me do it.”

Hall didn’t explain the reason, he was just very insistent.

Mainly, he couldn’t explain to Himan either.

Because he couldn’t let Himan lose. If Himan lost, it was very likely to directly trigger the game’s mechanism, causing Himan to develop towards the mana-replenishing route.

And he knew what Tarasha wanted, and he understood the secret language of the Kingdom of Cateline.

So after he went on stage, and the magic circle that separated the platform from the outside was activated, he used the special secret language of the Kingdom of Cateline’s intelligence department to speak to Tarasha.

“You should surrender.”

Tarasha was stunned at first.

Then she almost fainted from anger.

So why does Hall believe in fate or game’s mechanism if you will as there’s no system that would force Hall.
The girls are also seeing changes in Hall so it’s very likely that they’ll just follow him to the other city. Then again from Hall’s POV the only one likely to follow him is his Sister and the Rose princess
