“So you hate it?”
“Are you crazy? I’m dying because it’s good.”
Haejin started moving again. The body that had briefly calmed reignited.
“Chae-ya, Jung Lee Chae.”
“Hnngh, ah…”
“Jung Lee Chae.”
“Why do you keep calling me!”
“Just… because I love it.”
He couldn’t believe this moment was real—he kept saying the name, staring at the flushed face. Lee Chae suddenly grabbed the back of his head and kissed him. Thoughts flew away; his body went wild again.
Peak, lull, peak again…
“Idiot, we can just do it again.”
He’d heard it, but the razor-edge sensation was addictive. Right now was only right now; later was later. The wonder of feeling this for one person made him want to delay the finale as long as possible.
Exhausted from the endless rhythm, Lee Chae finally went limp and croaked,
“If you dare say anything different later, I swear…”
“You’re the one who’ll do that.”
“It’s always the espers who change their minds.”
“Yeah, yeah, all my fault.”
Delaying release over and over turned the pain into knives. Their eyes met—Lee Chae seemed to understand, wrapped arms around his neck, and kissed him. Every thrust Haejin gave, Lee Chae fed him energy; every time Lee Chae arched, Haejin paused.
Slow guiding where they only felt energy… Fast guiding that grew more intense the longer it went… Like dancing a waltz, they matched each other’s tempo, hugged tight at the highest point, and crashed down together.
Falling, falling again—never hitting the ground, floating through space. They froze in that feeling, then collapsed at the same time.
Haejin recovered first and brushed Lee Chae’s forehead. He’d finally done what he’d craved, yet the feeling was strange. Mine, but not mine… Because no imprinting? He’d thought one time would ease it—but no.
Desire only grew, ballooning larger. Even with eyes closed, Lee Chae looked beautiful and erotic. Sweeping the sweat-damp hair, lust surged then warmth spread—over and over.
And finally… for some reason, sadness.
“Jung Lee Chae.”
He wasn’t actually asleep—no one falls asleep that fast. Pretending.
“You keep making me all emotional.”
The corner of his mouth lifted slightly. Knew it.
“You’re too cold, only I’m desperate—it pisses me off.”
“I know.”
“You knew and still did it?”
“Yeah.”
This little— Anger flared. Emotions flipped every second with Lee Chae, but even in this historic moment?
“Because I’m easy? Because I like you, you thought it’s fine?”
“No…”
Lee Chae still didn’t open his eyes. His mouth twitched like he had more to say.
“Then?”
“You’re S-rank, insanely pretty, way too perfect. So many people want you. I’m lacking, so I set conditions to at least be useful. Tried to fix your reputation. But you even did that.”
“…”
“So the desperate, chasing, dying-of-love stuff—let hyung do that. If I do it all, I’ll look pathetic.”
Another blindside punch. He’d lost count today. If unaware seduction was a crime, Jung Lee Chae deserved life in prison.
“Got it. But pretend you don’t know and you’re dead.”
“Yes.”
“Disappear without a word—you’re dead.”
“Okay.”
“But why the f*ck am I still not reassured?”
Lee Chae’s eyes snapped open and he rolled toward Haejin. Even unmoving, those eyes sparkled.
“They say it’s always like that.”
“Who says?”
“A book called Ten Pieces of Advice for Love.”
So he learned love from a book. No wonder he was this seductive despite being a nerd.
“It says espers obsess over high-compatibility or beloved guides to a degree the guide can’t handle. It’s instinct.”
Haejin narrowed his eyes and lowered his voice.
“Chae-ya, that might not be obsession—it could become a crime.”
“Huh?”
“If you ever cheat with another esper… I think I’d kill him.”
“And if I still hated you?”
“I’d kill you then myself.”
Lee Chae laughed like it was a silly joke, but Haejin was dead serious. Other espers whined that first loves sucked and first times were disappointing. If their guides had been Jung Lee Chae, they’d never say that. Good thing he hadn’t voiced those thoughts—Lee Chae would run.
Haejin laughed along naturally.
“If you’re confident you won’t cheat, imprint me.”
“Next time. After a few more rounds.”
Lee Chae whispered sweetly,
“They say it feels different before imprinting. Let me feel a bit more.”
“F*ck. I fall for it again.”
“Hyung, thank you.”
One short sentence and his chest melted again. Haejin kissed those swollen lips. They were puffy from earlier biting, yet still perfect. Light pecks with smacking sounds, then deeper—Lee Chae bit back harder.
The Lee Chae who’d begged to be saved suddenly wrapped arms around his neck again. If they kept going, last night would repeat—Haejin pulled away. Lee Chae’s lust-glazed eyes were fixed on his lips. He licked them, even smacking—Haejin had to turn his head.
“I think I’m a pervert.”
Haejin grinned.
“Can you handle it?”
Lee Chae nodded. Lips met again. Clumsy and inexperienced, yet just as intense—their second first time began.
He counted three times… after that he lost track. Energy that had been replenished by each other eventually drained completely. After the final peak, Lee Chae passed out. Waking up, he immediately writhed.
Haejin’s huge foot was planted on his stomach. He shoved it off, lay flat, and panted.
It’s a miracle I’m alive.
Every climax, Haejin had tempted, “Imprint now and it’ll feel even better,” asking how it felt. Then repeated the cycle—driving him insane.
Lee Chae didn’t hate imprinting. Haejin was right—it would be reassuring. After the kidnapping, struggling to locate him, Haejin’s obsession with imprinting made sense.
But Lee Chae couldn’t agree easily.
He knew exactly what imprinting with a D-rank meant for an S-rank like Haejin. What Haejin would have to give up, the pressure from headquarters—Lee Chae knew better than anyone. He couldn’t casually say yes to a spoiled young master who’d risk everything for someone he’d known less than a year.
That wasn’t courtesy to someone feeling love for the first time. He couldn’t selfishly say, “I love you, so hold my hand and walk this thorny path with me,” knowing it was only pain.
Right now lust had blinded him, but reality wasn’t kind. Haejin, unaware of how much he’d have to sacrifice, would surely regret it later.
People in love always delude themselves: My person is special, our love is eternal, this will last forever.
At least until they could tell if the desire to imprint was delusion or lust—time was needed. Then maybe one day, imprinting would be worth the sacrifice for both of them.
Just a little longer… until I’m sure…
While lost in thought, Haejin’s voice cut in.
“What are you thinking so hard about? They said never trust a guy smoking in bed after s*x.”
“You don’t smoke.”
“Your face looked exactly like one. Like a bad boy about to smoke after a one-night stand. I almost cried from the trauma.”
“What kind of…”
Seeing Haejin’s ridiculous grin, Lee Chae realized delaying imprinting had been 100 % the right call.
Then the phone rang. Haejin twisted in annoyance, checked it after ages—his face hardened.
“Battle?”
“F*ck. These bastards never stop.”
He tossed the phone, dressed quickly, roughly combed his hair, and headed out—then stopped. He’d just remembered his first-time partner was still in bed.
“Babe, I’ll be back.”
No smile. Under the blank expression—faint anxiety and suppressed anger. A face he’d never shown Lee Chae before, even intimidating. Unease wrapped around him.
“Espers fight wondering if today is the day they die.”
Haejin’s old words echoed. Lee Chae forced his eyes open and looked at him. A real, physical person—yet he seemed faint, like he’d vanish if Lee Chae reached out.
