Chapter 68: The Lunatic Who Got Imprinted and Still Worried About Social Hierarchy

Haejin kissed every inch of Lee Chae’s face while slowly moving again.

“Haa… relax a little.”

“Hnngh, I’m try—ah, ah… no.”

Lee Chae bit his lip as Haejin gradually sped up—his moans changed pitch. Found it. Haejin relentlessly targeted that spot. Lee Chae clawed his back and begged.

“S-stop, please… stop…”

Haejin focused every nerve on finding the imprint spot. It felt like there was a place deeper inside that would never let go once reached—but it was hard to locate.

“Stay still… just a little.”

He pinned Lee Chae’s shoulders and moved faster. He believed if he surrendered to instinct, his body would guide him to the right place. A guide’s body would lead an overexcited esper where it needed to go.

“Huk.”

Lee Chae tensed and clung to him. Haejin kissed him repeatedly, babbling that he was going insane with pleasure, that he couldn’t even think about imprinting because Lee Chae felt too good—yet he still wanted to imprint. He didn’t even know what he was saying anymore.

“Driving me crazy. Really.”

“Ah, ahh…”

They were already one, yet he wanted to be even closer. Lee Chae, helpless against the onslaught, threw his head back and started crying. If Haejin had been sane, he’d have soothed him—but he wasn’t.

Then a strange sensation surged from below. Like his whole body awakening.

Imprint precursor?

Feeling it coming, Haejin hugged the crying Lee Chae and whispered,

“I’m imprinting. Hold on a little.”

“…!”

That snapped Lee Chae awake. He’d convinced himself a hundred times that they had to imprint—yet the moment arrived and fear hit. Is this really okay? Won’t he regret it? He almost died—his judgment might be clouded…

Even while being swept away, Lee Chae wondered if he should ask Haejin to think again while there was still time.

“Hnngh, hyu-hyung.”

“Shh, quiet. I need to focus.”

Haejin’s eyes darkened. Focused, yet somehow not looking at him—eerie. That gaze made Lee Chae feel any words would be useless now.

Every time Lee Chae grimaced in pleasure, Haejin drove harder. Trying to slow it down, Lee Chae covered his face. Haejin pulled his hands away, kissed him, and moved even more fiercely—like he’d devour him whole.

The precursor phenomenon of an esper about to imprint flooded Lee Chae with unbearable pleasure; he could no longer think.

“Ah… there, more. More!”

Mind blurred by Haejin’s energy, Lee Chae started moving on his own. He slammed harder where they joined, sucked harder where he tasted. The rougher he got, the wilder Haejin became.

“J-just a little… more.”

“Finally lost it too, huh.”

Haejin exhaled long and thrust fiercely. He pushed past limits like there was further to go. The overwhelming pleasure-pain from thirst and heat was almost torturous.

“I’ve always been like this, Chae-ya.”

It hurt this much for you too?

Even half-gone, Lee Chae felt sorry. He wrapped arms around Haejin’s neck and kissed him. Parched lips met moist ones—felt like salvation. He clung, panting.

“Hnngh.”

Haejin moved faster, targeting only the spots that made Lee Chae feel. When Lee Chae shook his head unable to bear it, Haejin slowed—then sped up again. Something inside began to grow.

Will my body split in half?

Terror struck.

“Ngh, ah… it hurts.”

“Jung Lee Chae. Think carefully. Is it really pain? Or just fear?”

Haejin knew exactly. It wasn’t pain—Lee Chae was scared of the unfamiliar physical reaction. The moment Haejin spread him wider and buried deeper, scorching heat spread through his body.

“Don’t think. Chae-ya.”

The thing inside grew bigger. Fear of being torn apart made Lee Chae press his forehead to Haejin’s shoulder. A low whisper reached his ear.

“Found it… but connecting is hard.”

Sweat soaked them; Lee Chae’s mouth kept opening. Even under crushing pressure, his mind stayed clear. Then—an intense pleasure incomparable to pain flooded him.

“Haa, ah…!”

It felt like a lock inside clicked open, or a ring slipped into place.

“Hnngh.”

Haejin groaned once and tangled their bodies tighter. Lee Chae trembled and clenched around him. At the peak, he wished time would stop—he’d reached the ultimate human pleasure.

So this is imprinting.

The thirst he’d felt every time they touched vanished instantly. Even with eyes closed, vision cleared; even exhausted, strength surged.

In the euphoria of abilities multiplying, Lee Chae clung to Haejin for a long time. Haejin stayed joined until Lee Chae said he was okay.

When Lee Chae opened his eyes, Haejin kissed his forehead and whispered sweetly,

“This level of imprint… honeymoon baby is basically guaranteed…”

He felt overflowing energy, yet Haejin’s nonsense left him too drained to respond. Why? I feel strong…

He blinked, trying to adjust. Haejin lay beside him, watching.

“It’s tough, but energy rises so you feel overflowing strength.”

The voice sounded distant, but he understood. So he wasn’t actually bursting with energy—just felt like it. Lee Chae nodded and rested his forehead on Haejin’s chest.

He wanted to savor the afterglow, sleep forever in Haejin’s arms. Consciousness faded.

“Jung Lee Chae, you’re really mine now?”

“…”

“Curious about the mark? Want me to take a picture?”

“…”

“When’s our wedding? After graduation, right?”

“Nonsense… stop… sleepy…”

Haejin kept babbling—newlywed house near Legion, he’d maintain grades and scores now that he was family head, don’t worry about headquarters geezers—but Lee Chae was already asleep.

He just wanted to stay in Haejin’s arms and sleep without waking. If he stayed awake he’d see Haejin’s face and cry again. Swallowing nameless sorrow, he whispered inwardly,

Good night, my esper.

When Lee Chae was fully asleep, Haejin carefully got up and checked his body. Red marks he’d left covered him everywhere. Hard to tell imprint from love bites.

He fetched a warm towel, wiped Lee Chae clean, took a quick shower himself, then studied Lee Chae’s sleeping face.

“Even sleeping you’re too pretty—trouble.”

Dreaming, Lee Chae’s nose scrunched then relaxed. Adorable. Then he started smacking his lips like a baby. They said post-imprint recovery took time to recover energy, but those lips opening and closing reignited desire.

“How is this D-rank? They must’ve tested wrong.”

Haejin gently brushed hair off Lee Chae’s forehead—then looked down. A dark red mark on the collarbone caught his eye.

“Huk. The imprint mark.”

He carefully rubbed it. Other hickeys paled when touched then reddened again; only the near-black mark stayed vivid.

Proof of imprint—the sign that bound esper and guide for life, letting them always know each other’s location—was finally on Jung Lee Chae.

Amazement and daze mixed; he stared a long time. He’d expected a sunflower seed shape—it looked more like a flower.

Why a flower? Because Lee Chae’s pretty like one? Smells good? Blooms wide open? The more he thought, the deeper it would get, right?

Lost in fantasy, he even hallucinated fragrance. He unconsciously kissed the mark. Even the shoulder twitching in annoyance was sexy.

Feeling uncontrollable desire from one twitch, Haejin tried to pull Lee Chae close again— but Lee Chae’s eyes snapped open like he sensed danger.

“Honey, sleep well?”

Lee Chae blinked slowly closed and opened his eyes, then touched his head. That look sent unknown anxiety through Haejin. He’s not gonna back out after imprinting, right? He shook off the stupid thought—then met Lee Chae’s eyes as he turned.

“Hyung.”

“Yeah?”

“There aren’t many cases of S-rank espers imprinting with D-rank guides, are there?”

Haejin’s face crumpled.

“That’s what you say to your husband after a romantic night?”

“Still… I’m worried.”

“About imprint failing?”

Lee Chae shook his head. The connected feeling was unmistakable—no misunderstanding there. Haejin sighed.

“We imprinted—what does rank matter? We checked compatibility. Almost 100%…”

“I know, but…”

Haejin could guess without hearing. Social discrimination, people’s stares.

He stroked Lee Chae’s cheek.

“Listen. I don’t care about rank. You’re my guide—end of story. The mark’s right here, see?”

He pulled Lee Chae’s hand to the mark on his own collarbone—identical flower shape.

“Same mark. We’re tied for life. No take-backs.”

Lee Chae stared at the mark, eyes widening. Then suddenly teared up again.

“Because of me… you’ll get so much crap from people…”

“Shut up. I’d get crap anyway. I’m Cha Haejin—people hate me for breathing.”

He hugged Lee Chae tight.

“From now on, all the crap—we take it together. So don’t cry alone anymore. Got it?”

Lee Chae nodded, tears falling. Haejin kissed each tear.

“Good. Now sleep more. I’m not done with you yet.”
