Chapter 9: The Saintess’s Little Game

“Yes! What a coincidence! And this beside you must be the famous Saintess, right?”

Karl picked up Aelian’s thread, but immediately turned the conversation to Mia.

Aelian knew exactly what Karl was up to. Apart from romantic matters, getting to know the Church’s Saintess was all benefit and no harm. And seeing his good friend Aelian so close to Mia, Karl would hardly pass up the chance to get acquainted with the Saintess.

“Teacher, could I get one more uniform? Thank you!”

Mia politely asked the teacher. If students had no special request, it was two sets per person, as Aelian said. But if a student asked, the academy wouldn’t refuse to give one more.

The teacher took an extra set in Mia’s size.

Girls’ uniforms at the academy were formal dresses; boys’ were formal trousers.

Aelian had complained about the heat at the foot of the mountain, and now he had to wear an extra layer on the mountain.

Some female students couldn’t stand the cold and added extra armor on their legs.

“Lady Mia… what are you talking about… I… I don’t know…”

He hadn’t even thought of that. He’d been worrying about it, and Mia had given him a pillow just as he was nodding off.

Aelian was now like a cicada caught by Mia, the mantis.

“Aelian, let’s head back.”

Mia curled a smile at the corner of her mouth and walked gracefully ahead. Aelian followed behind like a lost soul. It looked as if nothing had happened between them.

As soon as they reached the dorm, Aelian collapsed onto the sofa as if his bones had broken, eyes hollow.

He acted as he thought he should. He tried his best to make it convincing.

Seeing Aelian like this, Mia became even more certain of her judgment, and her smile deepened.

“Aelian, now, put it on for me, okay?”

Mia sat down naturally beside Aelian. The faint lily-like fragrance on her stirred Aelian’s heartstrings.

He knew the first test had come.

“O… okay…”

Aelian returned to his room and took the Lolita dress from the wardrobe.

He changed without hesitation, movements practiced.

It didn’t take long. When he came out again, Mia hadn’t even finished changing her uniform.

Aelian knocked lightly on Mia’s door to signal he had dressed as she asked.

‘Being forced by a beautiful girl to wear women’s clothes… so exciting!’

“Aelian, you’re so quick…!”

Mia pushed open the door. She had already thought Aelian would suit women’s clothes: small frame, delicate features, not too tall.

But seeing it in person still startled her.
