Chapter 5: A Messy Welcome

As the sun began its descent, painting the sky with hues of twilight, the great Saintess, the white-haired Mage, Miss Lulu, was set to arrive in Carfa City!

The white-haired Mage effortlessly descended at the gates of Carfa City, a bustling port metropolis.

She struck a remarkably dashing pose, hands on her hips, as if the city were her personal domain. Her flight magic dispelled, she intended to stride through the city gates with an air of sophisticated flair.

Uh…

In reality, the reason for her descent was far simpler.

Carfa City had flight restrictions, and more importantly, Lulu’s magic to sustain flight was dwindling.

Cough, cough…

Who could blame her? She had apprehended a troublesome brat today, which had led to a slight magical overload.

Lulu turned her head. Beside her, the young Demon King gazed with a hint of astonishment at the bustling merchants crowding the city gates.

The vibrant scene seemed to leave the boy profoundly stunned.

Well, it was only natural. Carfa City was, after all, one of the most prosperous cities in the entire otherworld.

Moreover, it was currently the evening rush hour. Lulu offered a gentle smile, then slowly extended her hand, her gaze calm as she addressed the young Demon King.

“Alexius, take your teacher’s hand. There are many people here; you wouldn’t want to get lost.”

Alexius lifted his gaze, looking at Lulu’s slender, fair hand she offered.

For a moment, he seemed lost in thought.

[‘Pfft, ha ha, it’s like taking a child out! This is amazing!’]

[‘The pleasure of speaking with such a dignified, mature woman’s tone is simply irresistible~’]

Lulu was ecstatic internally.

The young Demon King remained silent for a moment, then the hand he had been about to reach for instantly dropped.

This woman…

She had put on an affected voice, and now she was practically gloating.

It had to be said, Lulu usually spoke with the cool, aloof demeanor of an elegant, frosty beauty.

If he only listened to her outward words, he might have been more wary and guarded around her.

Yet, her inner voice instantly softened into something sweet and adorable, making it incredibly difficult to maintain any suspicion.

“No need, I can walk by myself, thank you, Teacher.”

“Oh, very well. As you wish.”

Upon being rejected, Lulu nodded coolly, appearing utterly unconcerned, as if nothing had happened.

But in reality…

[‘Damn it, how could this be? This little guy actually rejected me? Hmm… Is he shy? That’s normal for a little virgin, I suppose.’]

[‘However… there’s another possibility: the young Demon King doesn’t trust me enough yet?’]

[‘This is going to be difficult. I need to cultivate his trust properly, otherwise, how will I be able to thoroughly train the child!’]

[‘No, I must try again!’]

Lulu resolved this in her heart, but when she turned, she saw the young Demon King had already walked ahead.

[‘Huh? Why is this child running so fast?’]

Hey, wait for me!

Lulu hurried after him.

Does this guy even know the way?

****

The two eventually arrived at Lulu’s residence: a grand, tranquil villa.

Illuminated by pumpkin lanterns, it cast a serene glow, just as Lulu had described—her home was quite spacious.

“We’re here. This is it. From now on, consider this your home.”

Lulu spoke softly. The young Demon King, who had taken a long time to calm his emotions during their journey, nodded.

He then followed Lulu into the house.

The moment they stepped inside, Alexius froze.

This… this room!

What in the world was this room?

Who could have imagined that a villa, so radiant and appealing from the outside, would be utterly… chaotic within?

Books lay scattered everywhere, potions were haphazardly placed, and the general state of the interior was a complete mess.

It was enough to make the Demon King’s blood pressure spike just looking at it.

This…

Alexius silently shifted his gaze to Lulu.

Uh…

Lulu fell silent for a moment, then stammered, ‘This…’

[‘Oh dear, the house might be a bit messy. Surely… the Demon King won’t mind, right?’]

[‘Cough, cough… My cool, elegant lady persona, it won’t crumble here, will it?’]

Alexius was speechless. ‘You never had a persona to begin with,’ he thought.

The Demon King, who possessed a slight aversion to messiness, now regarded Lulu with a subtle hint of disdain.

“I was a bit rushed leaving this morning. I’ll tidy up first. You should go take a bath; you’re a little dirty.”

Lulu spoke with an air of nonchalance.

The young Demon King, however, began to feel a surge of relief, grateful that he could hear her inner thoughts.

Was this the legendary state of appearing completely unfazed, yet inwardly panicking profusely?

Hmm…

However, it seemed he could only hear Lulu’s thoughts that were specifically about him.

As for anything else, he had never once overheard it.

He refused to believe Lulu’s mind was entirely occupied with him. Given the lively nature of her inner world, it was impossible.

Standing there, her gaze unfocused, yet thinking nothing at all? Who would believe that?

Tsk, it seemed he had already formed a fundamental understanding of his new teacher.

Alexius nodded; he certainly needed a bath.

Lulu directed him to the bathroom, which, in this otherworld, naturally supplied water for showering via magic.

It was quite convenient, not vastly different from modern facilities.

After the young Demon King entered the bathroom and closed the door, Lulu stretched lazily.

She then turned to survey the ‘state’ of her home.

[‘Oh, well, it can’t be helped, can it?’]

[‘After all, I used to be a shut-in male before transmigrating, and now I’m a shut-in female. As for self-care…’]

[‘It’s normal for a boy’s room to be a bit messy, right?’]

****

Lulu, with no intention of tidying the room, lay on the sofa for a short rest.

A moment later, the young Demon King’s voice suddenly echoed from the bathroom.

“Teacher, I’m done washing. My change of clothes…”

‘Oh, I forgot to get them!’

Lulu scrambled to her feet, then called out towards the bathroom.

“Wait a moment!”

‘Find clothes, find clothes, find clothes!’

The white-haired young lady rushed into her dressing room, flung open her wardrobe, and began frantically searching for clothes a boy could wear.

****

A short while later, Lulu collapsed to the floor.

Pfft ah… This…

It was over. She had almost forgotten. Today was her first day in this otherworld.

Her wardrobe was now entirely filled with girl’s clothes.

‘As a boy, having a closet full of dresses… how pathetic!’

A moment later, Lulu, holding a maid outfit, gently knocked on the bathroom door.

However, the very next second, perhaps because the young Demon King had been away from human society for too long, he pushed the bathroom door wide open!

Lulu, who had intended to slip the clothes through a small crack in the door, suddenly found herself staring at a naked boy standing before her.

They locked eyes for a moment. Unable to resist, Lulu’s gaze involuntarily swept up and down his form.

Hmm…

“Turns out, you look a bit thin, but you’re actually quite muscular.”

Lulu remarked, then swiftly closed the door before the young Demon King could blush.

Cough, cough…

Alexius stared at the closed bathroom door, wiping a bead of sweat from his brow.

He had startled himself. Oh, his mind had completely blanked—why had he suddenly flung the door open?

It seemed Teacher Lulu had seen him completely naked. Uh… but she didn’t seem to care much?

Perhaps the steam in the bathroom had obscured her view, preventing her from seeing clearly.

At the same time, by the door, Lulu turned her back to the bathroom, covering her now-flushed face.

[‘Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah—!’]

[‘No way, no way, did I just see the young Demon King’s body?’]

[‘Hiss—’]

[‘And, it seems… I even saw the *little* Demon King! This, this, this… this is too, too, too terrifying! That child is quite well-developed…’]

[‘Cough, cough, cough, calm down, calm down! He’s still a child! Just a little boy, and it’s not like I haven’t seen little boys before. It’s fine, it’s fine… just a child.’]

Hmm?
