Chapter 6: The Maid Outfit and a Master’s New Path

What… what is this!

Lulu remained oblivious that her frantic internal monologue had been entirely absorbed into the little demon king’s mind. In fact, he was already beginning to suspect if Teacher Lulu might be a shota-con pervert.

Just how many little boys’ bodies had she witnessed?

****

However…

What Alexius had not anticipated was that the little boy whose body Lulu claimed to have seen… was, in fact, herself.

Ahem…

Lulu composed herself, shaking her head. ‘Honestly, I was getting far too worked up.’

It was merely a small boy; she was simply overthinking things.

How utterly peculiar. Why would she feel shy after seeing a little boy’s body? Ah, this…

If she were still an otaku from modern society, she would never have felt shy seeing such a scene, would she? It wasn’t a loli, after all!

Perhaps, after five years in this other world, she had begun to acclimate to a female body?

As Lulu pondered these thoughts, she suddenly heard the little demon king’s helpless plea from the bathroom. “Teacher Lulu, you haven’t given me the clothes to change into yet…”

“Oh! My apologies, I’ll bring them right away.”

[Forgot, forgot. I nearly forgot to give the little demon king his clothes.]

Lulu quickly approached the bathroom door once more. Then, she whispered softly: “Um, Alexius, open the door just a crack. While your Master isn’t overly concerned, you still need to be careful not to catch a cold!”

Alexius blinked. ‘Yes, you don’t care. You don’t care at all~’

“I understand, Teacher Lulu!”

The little demon king spoke, gently opening the bathroom door just enough to create a sliver of space. Lulu slipped the maid outfit through the narrow gap.

Alexius accepted the clothes, glanced at them, and then froze instantly.

What, what, what?

‘This woman is deliberately humiliating me, isn’t she! This, a maid outfit?!’

“Teacher, are these clothes… correct?”

Alexius inquired, his voice tinged with self-doubt, from behind the bathroom door.

“Uh, I don’t feel there’s any major issue.”

Lulu scratched her head. ‘Look here.’

[‘A disciple and a maid, they’re quite similar, aren’t they! First, both maids and male servants are, well, servants, so this outfit should be interchangeable. Second, a disciple helps their Master with tasks, and servants help their masters with tasks. The only difference is that a Master teaches a disciple, while a master trains a servant. If you round it up, it’s practically the same, right? It’s perfectly logical!’]

Naturally, Lulu didn’t have the courage to articulate these thoughts to her disciple. Perhaps she feared her foolish apprentice wouldn’t be able to grasp such a sophisticated theory.

****

Alexius fell silent. He had initially assumed that Lulu was intentionally shaming him, the future Demon King, by making him wear women’s clothing.

Yet, it turned out she genuinely thought the outfit was quite suitable?

This… left the little demon king utterly speechless. Explanations could certainly defy logic, but they absolutely could not fall outside the realm of human comprehension!

He could only offer an awkward response from inside the bathroom:

“This is truly a bit unsuitable. I could even wear a male servant’s uniform, but this skirt…”

“Ahem, well, just make do for now. We genuinely don’t have anything suitable at home. I’ll go buy clothes for little boys tomorrow. Just manage with this for a bit; these are my old childhood clothes!”

Lulu, knowing she was slightly in the wrong, spoke thus. As for why she wasn’t buying them immediately…

[‘Since things are like this, I absolutely have to see what the little demon king looks like in a maid outfit first, haha~’]

“Heh… hehehe… Thank you, Teacher. In the future, I will certainly buy clothes for you too.”

Alexius replied, his voice feigning profound gratitude, but in reality…

His molars were practically grinding to dust.

‘Buy, I can buy anything!’

‘I’ll buy ten thousand fetish maid outfits and put them on your white head!’

Subsequently, Lulu returned to the bedroom, awaiting the little demon king to finish changing so she could arrange his room. Incidentally, she also began to ponder her own affairs.

‘I’ve been reborn.’

Five years ago, everything had just begun.

She could indeed start contemplating how this life would unfold for her this time.

Firstly, in this lifetime, she had actually taken the little demon king as her disciple, an outcome she had somewhat unforeseen herself.

[‘Regarding that little demon king, since I’ve decided not to kill him, and moreover, he’s now my disciple, I ought to treat him well. Hmm… it’s quite nice, actually. At least this time, I finally have a disciple, and I won’t have to struggle alone for an entire lifetime.’]

As Lulu thought this, the little demon king in the bathroom, who was trying to figure out how to put on the skirt, paused for a second upon hearing her thoughts.

Indeed, Lulu’s previous life had been profoundly lonely.

In her previous life, when Lulu first transmigrated to this other world, she understood nothing, utterly bewildered. It was only by relying on fragmented memories that she pieced together her identity, and it took a long time to fully familiarize herself with this new world.

Reborn into a new life, she naturally wouldn’t need to waste time on such matters again. In fact, she was quite clear about many events that would unfold in the near future.

Although she didn’t know how the world’s timeline would change now that the little demon king had been ‘kidnapped’ by her, based on her past life’s experience, she still had many paths to choose from.

Lulu was a probationary Saintess of the Church. In her previous life, she had relentlessly pursued this path, ultimately becoming the Final Saintess guarding the Divine Temple.

Yet, along this arduous journey, apart from continuously enhancing her own strength, Lulu hadn’t truly accomplished much else.

Her social interactions were minimal. She lived within the Church’s rigid system like a brick, moved wherever needed, and even in this other world, she hadn’t experienced much of the warmth she had similarly lacked in her modern society life before her previous transmigration.

In short, she was a social recluse who had lived two lives.

Thus, in this new life, Lulu didn’t want to dedicate her energy to building a career. Since she had already ‘abducted’ the little demon king, there would be no more danger from him in this world. There was no need to strive; she was going to be a ‘love-struck fool’!

Ahem, well, that was merely bravado.

Although she had lived as a woman for five years in her previous life and had somewhat adapted to a girl’s existence, she simply could not like men!

Yuri? Even the thought of it felt a bit strange.

‘I’ll just stay single. Being single is quite nice. After all, human emotional needs don’t necessarily have to be fulfilled by dating, right, haha? Taking on a disciple, raising a pet, isn’t that also quite heartwarming?’

“Oh, my apologies, that example was a repeat. Sorry.”

As she thought this, Lulu, who had decided to center her life on ordinary living this time, pinched her chin again.

Just then, Alexius emerged from the bathroom.

The shota boy, dressed in a maid outfit, looked at Lulu with a palpable mix of awkwardness and resignation. The white-haired mage snapped back to reality, couldn’t hold it in, and her lips curved upward. She nearly burst out laughing on the spot, stifling her mirth for a long moment.

[‘Pfft hahahahahaha—The Demon King, in a maid outfit!’]

Alexius no longer needed to guess the girl’s current emotions. ‘Stop pretending, your laughter is already echoing wildly in my mind!’

‘I’m going crazy, truly going crazy.’

‘Why can I hear this woman’s thoughts?! Why?!’

‘Damn it!’
