“Run! It’s Ila, the Blood Demon Princess Ila!”
With just a single encounter, the defensive line that the humans had barely established was torn open by a blood-red slash.
Ila simply shook her silver hair as she watched the humans scatter in panic. Her blood-red eyes focused on the magical girl lying on the ground, gasping for breath. This was the border of Magical City, reduced to ruins five years ago by the battle between Magical Girl: White Rose and Dark Demon Princess Leila. Since then, it had become a hotspot for Black Mud invasions.
To rebuild Magical City, the humans had set up multiple layers of defense, with five teams of magical girls guarding the area. Among them were three team leaders, all aimed at resisting the Black Mud’s invasion. But now, Ila, wielding a scythe, had infiltrated alone. Her cold gaze swept over the magical girls who couldn’t even last a single round against her. Beneath her bat-like mask, her eyes were as icy and unyielding as ever, as if she had no emotions at all.
“Blood Demon Princess, I, Magical Girl Red Wave, will inherit the name of White Rose. I will not let you set foot in Magical City!”
The nearest magical girl, a redhead who was one of the few still conscious, struggled to her feet and raised her fist at Ila. Ila’s eyes narrowed, and a sharp pain shot through her brain. White Rose? That name sounded so familiar. It felt like someone had mentioned something similar before. Could it be that I was once a magical girl myself?
Ila found her own thoughts amusing. She turned her head coldly and, with a simple strike, sent Red Wave crashing to the ground, unable to rise again. With that, the twenty-five magical girls defending Magical City were all defeated. Ila looked down at Red Wave, who was still trying to struggle, and had a sudden urge to control the Black Mud to envelop her, brainwashing her into falling. But Ila quickly shook her head, dismissing the idea. Sister might get angry if I did that. I should head back soon.
The humans watching from behind were terrified. This was Blood Demon Princess Ila, Leila’s younger sister. With her overwhelming strength and her tendency to act without a word, she had single-handedly destroyed hundreds of defensive lines and defeated countless magical girls in just four years, earning the title of the Masked Evil!
One Leila was already enough to make humans gasp for breath, and now there was another cold-blooded Ila. Everyone felt as if their throats were being squeezed shut. Ila glanced up, following the gaze of the humans observing her from the building. Then, without a word, she turned and disappeared into a crack in the ground.
If not for the magical girls lying on the ground, moaning and unconscious, no one would have known that a demon had just been there. Deep underground, Ila walked alone on a path formed by Black Mud. This was the Abyss, a world hidden within the cracks of the earth, where Black Mud gathered after returning from their hunts in the upper world. Above her, countless Black Mud creatures crawled from all over the world, many carrying their hunting spoils. Along the sides of the path, bloodthirsty beasts roared, tearing and devouring each other’s flesh and bones.
Ila took off her mask, and her silver hair and blood-red eyes disappeared, replaced by her natural black hair and purple eyes. The tight black battle suit she wore also transformed into a black evening gown. The mask she removed turned into a living mechanical bat, which flew to Ila’s head and fell asleep. At the end of the path stood a castle suspended in the air. Ila pushed open the castle gate with a stern expression and was suddenly pulled into an embrace. “Ila.”
As soon as Ila entered the castle, Leila pulled her close, rubbing her face against Ila’s chest. Ila blushed, pushing Leila away in confusion. “Sis… Sis, what are you doing?”
“Sister is just checking on my little sister to see if she’s been hurt by the magical girls.”
Leila pressed against Ila again, trying to lift up Ila’s clothes to examine her skin. The bloodthirsty Blood Demon Princess was now like a little girl, flustered and at a loss for how to respond to her sister’s advances. Yet, she deeply loved her sister and could not resist her actions.
“Sis, you know those magical girls are weak. They can’t do anything to me, a Dark Princess.”
“Oh, well then, let sister check you over properly.~”
Leila pulled Ila’s hand, and in an instant, they were both in the castle’s hot spring. Their clothes vanished, and Ila’s body, as white as ivory, was fully exposed. Her alluring tattoos were also visible. These were the magical symbols that represented their status as Dark Princesses. The stronger they were, the more extensive and vibrant their tattoos became. Ila looked at the blood-red tattoos that spread across her lower abdomen, shoulders, cheeks, and thighs, and compared them to Leila’s black tattoos, which almost covered her entire body. She couldn’t help but admire how powerful her sister was, vowing to work harder to catch up to her.
Ila glanced at Leila’s generous curves and then at her own plain figure. She decided she needed to catch up to her sister in every way! “Mmm, it seems my little sister is unharmed. She’s truly a source of pride for sister.”
Leila inspected Ila thoroughly, inside and out, making Ila blush like a steam engine. After her examination, Leila nodded and led Ila into the hot spring. As a good sister, it was only natural to let her sister examine her body. “Come, let’s soak in the hot spring together!”
Soak in the hot spring together? Ila’s expression faltered. That phrase sounded so familiar, like a promise she had once made with someone important.
Leila noticed Ila’s moment of hesitation and smiled meaningfully. “Ila, do you know who Magical Girl: White Rose is?”
Magical Girl: White Rose! Ila was all too familiar with the name. Every time she went to the upper world to challenge those arrogant magical girls who insulted her sister, she would kill them instantly. But whenever they mentioned White Rose, Ila would experience a sharp pain in her head and eventually let them go. Did her sister know something about this?
“She was the strongest magical girl who challenged sister five years ago!”
“Of course, sister won in the end, right?”
Ila’s mind told her that the outcome was obviously a victory for her beloved sister. But for some reason, she still felt a twinge of resentment. “That’s right, sister and that magical girl fought for three hundred rounds, from the water to the bed, and then to the ground. It was a spectacle of splashing water and darkening skies. In the end, we were both exhausted, our legs weak, but sister’s skills were superior. She used the Black Mud to control her, and in the end, that magical girl begged for mercy.”
Leila described the scene vividly, but Ila felt uneasy, as if it resembled her own experiences with her sister too closely. But never mind that—sister was amazing! I’m so proud of her! If only I had been born from the Black Mud back then, I could have helped sister teach that Magical Girl: White Rose a lesson!
“And then, sister, did you let her go?”
Ila stood up, feeling that she had soaked long enough, and decided to return to their room to warm the bed for her sister. As a good sister, it was only natural to warm the bed for her sister. “Of course, White Rose even presented her holy relic to sister. It’s in the cabinet by the bedhead.”
Leila looked into Ila’s eyes with a meaningful smile, emphasizing that last point. Ila nodded and fished the mechanical bat, which was soaking in the hot spring, out of the water. She then made her way to their shared bedroom. On the pink, romantic bed, Ila propped her chin on her hands, smiling as she played with the mechanical bat in front of her. This was a gift from her sister four years ago, allowing her to transform into a powerful Dark Princess on her own. Lying in such a bed, Ila often felt a sense of unreality, as if she didn’t belong here.
Ila closed her eyes, recalling the moment five years ago when she first opened her eyes after being born from the Black Mud. The first thing she saw was her kind and loving sister. At the time, she knew nothing, and it was her sister who taught her the duties of a younger sister—warming the bed, feeding, massaging, and checking on her sister. But every time those magical girls mentioned White Rose, Ila would feel a deep sadness and look at her sister with a mix of rejection and longing. Yet, this was a betrayal of her sister, who had been so good to her. Why did she feel this way?
Ila glanced at the nightstand on the left side of the bed, feeling a strong premonition that the holy relic, Gungnir, was definitely inside. Why did the name ‘Gungnir’ keep popping up in her mind? It must be that wicked White Rose who cast a spell on her, causing these strange feelings! Ila puffed up her cheeks in anger, her body moving on its own to open the nightstand. She would use this holy relic to find Magical Girl: White Rose, defeat her, and trample her underfoot as revenge for making her feel this way towards her sister! With that thought, Ila’s hand reached for the holy relic, Gungnir.
