“As a demonstration,” Leila declared, “I will use your Sister Ila’s body to prove that hypnotic brainwashing and the modification of common sense are paramount — the most crucial lessons for any Magical Girl!”

On the training grounds, Ila, her eyes vacant and her body rigid as a wooden fish, lay cradled in Leila’s arms. Leila, performing the essential preparatory steps with practiced ease, lectured the three young Magical Girls sitting primly before her.

‘How did they get so small? I distinctly remember not being able to hold them in one hand before.’

The three young girls had never witnessed such a scene. Their faces immediately flushed crimson, and with a collective, unspoken agreement, they covered their eyes with their hands, only to then part two fingers, peeking through the narrow slits.

They observed their teacher’s lewd behavior with an unobstructed view.

Then, disregarding the utterly confused expressions of Mona and Ling Ling, Leila snapped her fingers at the wolf-shaped Cadaver Beast, which had remained motionless under her control.

Ila steadied Ye Yunchu, about to sharply reprimand Leila for her lewd behavior, when she suddenly felt her soul tremble, a chill rushing from the soles of her feet straight to her brain.

She rigidly turned her body, looking at the wolf-shaped Cadaver Beast not far away, which was now staring at her as if she were its prey.

The oppressive aura that had previously enveloped the three young girls now washed over Ila’s entire body like a tidal wave. The Cadaver Beast’s bloodthirsty gaze seemed poised to tear her to shreds in the next second.

But what shocked Ila most wasn’t the Cadaver Beast’s sudden focus on her.

It was the involuntary trembling of her own legs.

‘Trembling?’

‘I’m actually feeling fear?’

This was almost impossible.

The wolf-shaped Cadaver Beast let out a low, guttural growl and took a step forward. Its gaze was fixed solely on Ila and Ye Yunchu. Mona and Ling Ling, protected by Leila, remained undetected by the Cadaver Beast.

Just that single growl made Ila instinctively take a step backward.

Simultaneously, the negative emotions emanating from Ila were absorbed like an adrenaline shot by the wolf-shaped Cadaver Beast, temporarily boosting its strength to three stars. This was an amount comparable to the combined power of Ye Yunchu and Ling Ling.

Ila’s eyes widened in disbelief, even self-doubt, as she realized she had retreated and inadvertently fueled the Cadaver Beast with her negative emotions.
