Chapter 22: Reunion and Revelations

As Liu Ruyan followed the direction of the voice, she spotted a beautiful girl with fiery red hair. The girl was staring at Liu Ruyan with an icy glare, as if she wanted to devour her alive. This girl was none other than the famous Luoli Fairy, known as the Inspirational Fairy. From a young age, she was a prodigious talent, but suddenly lost her cultivation. Betrayed by her closest friend, she was then oppressed by numerous forces. Yet, she rose from this pressure to become a dominant figure.

Of course, the closest friend of the Luoli Fairy was Liu Ruyan herself, so intimate that they shared the same dress. Seeing her former friend in this state, Liu Ruyan immediately set aside her reservations. She took a deep breath, her face lighting up with excitement as she flung herself into Luoli Fairy’s arms, cooing, “Luoli, it’s been so long. I’ve missed you so much.” Only then did she lift her head from Luoli Fairy’s chest, her eyes glistening as she gazed at her.

In that moment, Luoli Fairy seemed to drift back in time, remembering when she was young and had not yet lost her cultivation. Back then, Liu Ruyan would always greet her like the closest of sisters, their bond unbreakable.

Seeing Luoli Fairy’s distant look, Liu Ruyan breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed her “Young and Naive” strategy had worked. She hoped that Luoli would remember their happy times together and soften her anger.

But Liu Ruyan didn’t anticipate that Luoli Fairy, who had been lost in thought, would suddenly flare up with rage. Her eyes blazed with fury, and Liu Ruyan swallowed nervously, unsure of why Luoli seemed even angrier now.

Unbeknownst to Liu Ruyan, Luoli Fairy cherished their youthful intimacy but also hated the betrayal she had experienced. Liu Ruyan’s unmasked betrayal had transformed her into a cruel and vicious spirit, tearing Luoli Fairy apart with her words.

“How dare you humiliate me like this?” Luoli Fairy seethed. “I had intended to punish you lightly for old times’ sake, but now I see you’re truly ungrateful. This time, I won’t show any mercy, no matter how much you beg.”

“Eh? Eh… Luoli Sister, what’s wrong? Did I say something wrong?” Liu Ruyan, taken aback by her own blunder, looked pleadingly at Luoli Fairy, hoping to win her over with her pitiful expression.

Unfortunately, Liu Ruyan didn’t realize that her current appearance only made others want to bully her more.

“This wicked woman won’t get any rest today, and she won’t rest for the next few days either. First, let’s discuss her disciple’s matter,” said another voice, cold and unyielding as ice.

Liu Ruyan gasped, recognizing the speaker as Binglian Fairy, another victim of her past schemes.

And it didn’t end there. As Binglian Fairy appeared, the once-spacious room filled with stunning, ethereal figures. After a few dozen had materialized, the sudden arrivals stopped. All of these women were renowned on the Hundred Flowers List.

“Since everyone is here, let’s talk about what to do with your daughter.”

“Wh… what do you mean? I don’t know! My daughter…” At this, Liu Ruyan felt a chill run down her spine. She took a deep breath, as if resigning herself to her fate. “Hmph! You’re slandering me! My Heavenly Enchanting Body has already absorbed the life energy you all gave me. How could I possibly have a child? Don’t ruin my reputation! I’m still a maiden!”

Hearing such shameless words, the dozens of fairies present were enraged, their fists clenched. Seeing Liu Ruyan’s haughty attitude, implying that none of them were worthy enough to father her child, was not just an insult but a humiliation.

No one could bear it. However, the fairies knew this was merely Liu Ruyan’s last-ditch effort. They would soon suffer the consequences of their actions. The immediate concern was dealing with Luo Bingli.

Truthfully, Luo Bingli’s ability to cultivate two divine breaths and her status as the first on the Hundred Flowers List made her an ideal candidate for a political marriage. The problem was that Luo Bingli bore a striking resemblance to the younger Liu Ruyan, and was even more beautiful. It was as if the heavens had blessed her with this miracle.

However, the issue was that everyone believed Luo Bingli to be Liu Ruyan’s daughter, making her unsuitable for marriage alliances. This was why the leaders from various sects were all Liu Ruyan’s former tenants, not strangers.

Honestly, the fairies present had no intention of arranging a marriage. If they did marry Luo Bingli, there was no telling when the saint of the Hundred Flowers Palace might bring a green hat to their descendants. This, after all, was a tradition of the Hundred Flowers Palace, much like Liu Ruyan herself.

But the catch was that, apart from these fairies who knew the true nature of the Hundred Flowers Palace, others were eager to arrange marriages, hoping to bring the rumored saint with two divine breaths back to their sects. Little did they know the trouble this would bring to their sects in the future.

The main reason everyone had gathered was to take control of Liu Ruyan, starting with her daughter. After all, even though they had bullied Liu Ruyan relentlessly, they never gave her any face. If it was confirmed that Luo Bingli was Liu Ruyan’s daughter, wouldn’t it be easier to control her in the future? They could torment her without suffering any backlash.

But here they were, barely having spoken, and they were already being mocked by Liu Ruyan. Worse still, her mockery was undeniable. Although Liu Ruyan’s cultivation was low, her Heavenly Enchanting Body could forcefully refine life force. In other words, Liu Ruyan couldn’t get pregnant no matter how she played around.
