What is happiness?
As they say, a cat eats fish, a dog eats meat, and Ultraman beats up little monsters. This satisfaction is not just physical but also spiritual. But for humans, what is happiness? Simply put, it’s a weekend off.
As the saying goes, ‘When the golden autumn wind meets the jade dew, it surpasses countless pleasures in the world.’ It seems the ancients were right.
At this moment, Luo Bingli is experiencing this ultimate fulfillment. Just two months ago, at great cost, Luo Bingli captured the daughter of the Hundred Flowers Palace, Bai Rusui, alive.
After extracting essence from her for eighty-one days, Luo Bingli not only ascended to the legendary Twelve-Tier Celestial Elemental Embryo but also, through quantitative changes leading to qualitative ones, cultivated the legendary ‘Celestial Qi’ possessed only by prodigies.
With just a trace of this Celestial Qi enhancing her, Luo Bingli could face another Celestial Elemental Embryo and prevail across two minor realms. In other words, although Luo Bingli has just entered the Elemental Embryo stage, she is already formidable in this realm.
However, there’s a saying that ‘joy brings sorrow.’ Just as Luo Bingli was about to stand up and revel in her newfound power, her smooth, fair thighs gave way, and her head hit a rock.
Accompanied by a bone-chilling ‘Ouch!’, Luo Bingli fell into unconsciousness. Her flawless forehead, which would not have been marred even by a spiritual weapon, was now bruised by a mere stone, perhaps fulfilling the ancient proverb, ‘Too much indulgence harms the body.’
…
After an unknown period, Luo Bingli gradually regained consciousness. Unlike her previous alluring gaze, her moist eyes now held a look of bewilderment. As she surveyed her surroundings, shock filled her beautiful eyes.
Her shock wasn’t due to being naked or seeing a naked beauty beside her, but because the scene before her was eerily familiar. It was the setting of the famous 2035 BL novel, ‘The Color of Yellow Doesn’t Have to Be Yellow, and the Gender of Yellow Can Be Ambiguous.’
The title suggests a modern urban story, but the content is a fantastical cultivation tale, a stark contrast that leaves first-time readers speechless. However, as one continues reading, they realize that the book’s fantastical elements allow for impossible scenarios in reality.
The story revolves around Luo Bingli, a once-in-a-millennium genius of the Hundred Flowers Palace, who discovers the joys of ‘dual cultivation’ during her ascent to the Elemental Embryo stage. Not only does it enhance her cultivation, but the ecstasy of dual cultivation leaves her intoxicated.
Additionally, Luo Bingli’s hidden identity as a descendent of the sole lineage of the Demon Palace grants her various methods of essence extraction and mind control. She begins hunting rare cultivators, breaking up countless couples to satisfy her desires.
Over time, the cultivators Luo Bingli wronged unite and, during a gathering, capture her, turning her into their plaything for dual cultivation. The story ends with the protagonist’s downfall, and there is no redemption for the antagonist, as this is a classic BL novel, not an inspirational tale.
Luo Bingli realizes she has transmigrated into the body of this antagonist. Thinking of her fate, where she is visited by various cultivators daily, enduring countless torments with no rest, she wishes she could just end it all.
Wait… something’s off… Luo Bingli suddenly remembers that this scene is the turning point of her life. Now that she has transmigrated, couldn’t she change her fate?
If she adapts to this body… no, wait… Luo Bingli feels something amiss. As a model citizen, transmigrating into such a beautiful body with a stunning girl beside her, she shouldn’t feel this way. She should be examining her new body, confirming if she can see her feet, or checking the girl beside her.
Upon reflection, she recalls that in her previous life, she was on her tenth reading of this BL novel, engaged in an intense ‘plane battle,’ expending billions of bullets before passing out and transmigrating.
Perhaps she didn’t transmigrate now but rather was reborn, and her previous memories surfaced due to the ecstasy she experienced. The more she thinks about it, the more it makes sense, as both her current and past memories are vivid, indicating awakening rather than transmigration.
Damn, why didn’t she awaken earlier? Then she wouldn’t have… No, wait, without this girl’s ‘help,’ she wouldn’t have been able to condense a trace of Celestial Qi and transform.
What’s done is done; can she let go of a fat rabbit now? The only concern is Bai Rusui’s lover. No, more like a devoted follower. It doesn’t matter; the crucial point is that this follower’s surname is Ye, and his name is Ye Xiaoci.
In the story, Ye Xiaoci, after being cared for by Bai Rusui, becomes her devoted follower. After Luo Bingli takes Bai Rusui, using demonic methods, she gradually turns Bai Rusui into her follower, dependent on Luo Bingli for survival. However, Ye Xiaoci never stops thinking about Bai Rusui and often causes trouble for Luo Bingli.
Eventually, in a secret realm, Luo Bingli corners Ye Xiaoci on a cliff and, under Bai Rusui’s watch, rapes him before throwing him off the cliff and leaving. This absurd plot twist reveals that Ye Xiaoci didn’t die and, in the cliff’s depths, gains a heavenly inheritance, awakens a mysterious bloodline, and reemerges as Ye Qingshen.
Predictably, Ye Qingshen becomes one of the cultivators who toy with Luo Bingli in the end. The reason Luo Bingli doesn’t capture Ye Xiaoci and turn him into an ally is unclear. Perhaps, as with BL novels, one shouldn’t overthink the logic.
It could be due to time constraints or Ye Xiaoci’s ordinary appearance and unawakened state at the time, preventing Luo Bingli from capturing him.
