What?
A student was hit?
I subconsciously walked towards the school gate.
I already had a certain guess in my heart, but I still followed Yi Zhiqiu out of the school gate.
In fact, many students had already gone out to watch.
I saw a small car make a very unusual turn, leaving a long brake mark on the road.
A person was caught under the car, apparently dragged for five or six meters, covered in blood, but the uniform of Jianlong Middle School was still vaguely visible.
The driver had already opened the car door and was kneeling on the ground in a state of collapse.
Seeing the student caught under the car, he shouted in panic, “It has nothing to do with me! I don’t know! He suddenly rushed out! And the brakes failed!”
“Hey! That person, is that Cao Bao?”
“It’s him, who else would dare to climb the wall and skip class during school hours?”
“It’s really karma. He did too many wicked things, and now his day has come to be hit!”
The surrounding students were all discussing it.
As a tyrannical school bully, many students knew Cao Bao, and his reputation was indeed not very good.
Even though the surrounding students saw him hit and bleeding profusely, most of them just felt a sense of satisfaction.
Yi Zhiqiu, however, frowned and walked over.
Looking at Cao Bao under the car, he reached out and touched his leg.
On the surface, he didn’t seem to be doing anything, but in my eyes, the blood qi from Cao Bao’s body had been draining away crazily just now, but it was suddenly stopped.
Since he was already a bloody mess from the crash, the people around couldn’t tell.
They didn’t notice that the bleeding from his wounds had stopped in an instant.
Although his skin was still torn and his flesh was exposed, his life was no longer in danger from continuous blood loss.
“A few people, come over and help me pull him out first.”
“Someone, call an ambulance!” Yi Zhiqiu shouted back.
A few people around responded, and someone also dialed 120.
As Yi Zhiqiu and the others tried to drag Cao Bao out from under the car, I saw a large amount of blood qi being transferred from his hand into Cao Bao’s body.
This blood qi was enough to keep him alive.
Cao Bao, who would have likely died from blood loss or internal injuries, had luckily survived because he was seen by Yi Zhiqiu and rescued with his arts.
When I saw him seriously injured and even on the verge of death, I only felt a sense of great satisfaction.
Remembering how he used to bully me, I only had a feeling of getting my revenge.
And seeing Yi Zhiqiu save Cao Bao, I only felt regret that he had luckily escaped with his life.
But he was also seriously injured, and would probably have to lie in the hospital for a long time.
He probably wouldn’t come and harass me again.
With everyone’s efforts, Cao Bao was finally dragged out from under the car.
Seeing his face covered in blood, his limbs twisted abnormally, and his clothes dyed red, the people around couldn’t help but exclaim, “How tragic!”
The road in front of Jianlong Middle School was not wide, and being at the school gate, there were crosswalks and traffic lights.
Few cars would drive too fast, and vehicles that crashed so tragically were even rarer.
“Why did he come out?”
“Isn’t it supposed to be class time now?” Yi Zhiqiu turned back and asked the students of Jianlong Middle School, his tone imposing without being angry.
He was the school’s Safety Consultant.
Although the students didn’t know what kind of Safety Consultant he was, traffic safety must be within his scope of responsibility.
At least, that’s how the students understood it.
But they didn’t know why Cao Bao had come out either.
Finally, the security guard uncle said, “This student is called Cao Bao.”
“He’s a well-known little hooligan in the school, uneducated and only knows how to bully people all day.”
“It’s perfectly normal for him to climb the wall and skip class.”
It was obvious that if a student ran out of school during class time and was hit at the school gate, then he, the security guard, would also bear some responsibility.
Therefore, he directly threw the blame onto Cao Bao.
“Is that so?”
“Wait a minute, Cao Bao?”
“Didn’t he have many followers before, who were also uneducated?”
Yi Zhiqiu immediately made the connection upon hearing this name.
“Yes, he did have a lot of lackeys around him before.”
“But I don’t know why they suddenly disappeared a few days ago.”
“Everyone is saying that they suffered retribution for their evil deeds.”
“Now it seems that karma is indeed not to be trifled with,” a student said, feeling vindicated.
The other students also felt that Cao Bao deserved to be hit.
Only Yi Zhiqiu frowned.
This was another person who could be connected to the Painted Skin Ghost incident, and like his underlings, he had “suffered retribution.”
He instinctively felt that something was amiss.
Before the ambulance arrived, Yi Zhiqiu squatted on the ground and carefully examined Cao Bao.
Of course, in the eyes of others, he was performing first aid, such as cleaning Cao Bao’s wounds and stopping the bleeding.
I was a little nervous.
Of course, I knew why Cao Bao had gotten into a car accident.
I was afraid that Yi Zhiqiu would find the life-buying money I had given him on his body, but in the end, Yi Zhiqiu did not find anything suspicious.
I breathed a sigh of relief.
Senior Sister Mo was right.
When the life-buying money took effect, it would automatically turn to ashes.
Firstly, if a ghost’s life-buying was successful, they would of course need to destroy the evidence so that others wouldn’t discover they had possessed a body.
Secondly, life-buying money couldn’t be reused even if luck wasn’t on your side.
After being used once, it would turn to ashes.
If it could be reused, that would be outrageous.
After a while, the teachers and senior leaders of Jianlong Middle School finally arrived late.
They ran out of the school anxiously, rushing to the scene of the accident.
The faces of the school leaders were all gloomy.
A student had just gone missing not long ago, and now there was a car accident.
Things just wouldn’t calm down.
Yi Zhiqiu explained the situation to them in detail.
When they heard from Yi Zhiqiu that Cao Bao was not in mortal danger and was not even seriously injured, and only needed to be taken to the hospital to recuperate for a period of time, the school leaders all breathed a sigh of relief.
At least it wasn’t another student death.
After a while, the ambulance arrived and took Cao Bao away.
The principal brought a few teachers to accompany him, escorting him to the hospital for treatment, although they were basically of no use.
Watching the ambulance drive away, Yi Zhiqiu, who had returned to the school campus, still had a stern face.
I tried to comfort him, “Don’t mind it so much.”
“Accidents like car crashes are inevitable.”
“Many happen every year.”
“No, do you really think this was just an accident?” Yi Zhiqiu looked at me and asked.
I feigned ignorance and asked, “What else could it be?”
“A car accident should be an accident, of course.”
“Could it be… a supernatural event?”
“Correct.”
“Although it was very subtle, I still detected an unusual aura.”
“I don’t know if he took something he shouldn’t have.”
“I checked the car, and there was no special aura on it.”
“The problem should be with him,” Yi Zhiqiu said.
He was so clever.
Even without knowing the whole story, he could deduce a conclusion that was very close to the truth so quickly.
And even I couldn’t see the subtle aura, yet Yi Zhiqiu could.
