Chapter 18: Su Yun Becomes Lei Yan’s Disciple

Lei Yan watched Su Yun’s reaction, sighing helplessly.

“Little girl, I’ll ask you one more time. Are you sure you want to learn alchemy?”

Su Yun, feeling a bit exasperated, thought to herself, ‘I’ve said this so many times already. Does he think I’m joking?’

Lei Yan watched, amused and bemused, as Su Yun’s head emerged covered in black ash, looking like she had stuck it in a chimney.

“You silly girl, get up. I never thought I’d have a female disciple.”

Lei Yan helped Su Yun to her feet, and she officially became his personal disciple.

“Master, when will you teach me alchemy? Can I use the materials and workbench here?”

Lei Yan smiled wryly, seeing Su Yun’s eagerness. He used his spiritual energy to clean the ash off her.

“Not so fast. You’ve only become a disciple, not yet an initiate. This place isn’t suitable for you. I’ll arrange a better alchemy room for you. I don’t want to spoil your pretty face.”

Su Yun felt a pang of disappointment, wanting to say she didn’t mind.

“Everyone, stop what you’re doing and gather here.” Lei Yan’s voice echoed through the alchemy peak.

Hiswords were met with immediate action. Eighteen burly, bare-chested, and sooty men rushed to his alchemy room, their eyes drawn to Su Yun, an unusual sight in this male-dominated place.

The men, realizing their mistake, rushed to put on their shirts, looking flustered.

“Master, you’re telling us off, but you’re not dressed either.”

Lei Yan, taken aback, chuckled and put on a shirt.

Su Yun watched the commotion, trying to suppress a smile, thinking she didn’t mind their attire.

“Cough, cough. I have an announcement to make. We have a new member on the alchemy peak. From now on, this young one is my personal disciple and your little sister. Welcome her.”

The men, stunned, finally reacted.

“What? Master, you mean this lady is our little sister, your personal disciple? You’re kidding, right? Are you sure?”

“Gentlemen, I am Su Yun. Please take care of me in the future.” Su Yun bowed to them.

As they approached the door, Su Yun’s expression changed. Inside the hall, two white-clad girls stood.

“Brother, brother, I have something to tell you. I’ve taken this girl as my disciple. She’s now a personal disciple of the alchemy peak.” Lei Yan announced loudly as they entered.

The two girls turned, their gaze immediately drawn to the red-clad girl beside Lei Yan.

“Hmm?” Su Yun’s eyes met theirs.

Su Yun was captivated by the twin sisters’ cold beauty, while they were stunned by her own attractiveness.

“Why the loud voice? I’m not deaf. I heard you. You lucky brute, getting such a talented student. Make sure you teach her well, not just alchemy, but cultivation too.” Jiang Shengming reminded him.

Lei Yan chuckled.

“Rest assured, this girl will be the jewel of the alchemy peak. Hey, Lin Shuang, Lin Xue, what are you doing here?”

Indeed, they were Lin Shuang and Lin Xue, summoned by Jiang Shengming for an unknown purpose.

“Greetings, Master Lei. Who would’ve thought you, of all people, would take such a delicate and beautiful disciple? Impressive.” Lin Shuang teased.

Lei Yan laughed heartily.

“Oh, Su Yun, come meet your fellow disciples. These are the sect leader’s personal disciples, Lin Shuang and Lin Xue. You’re all siblings now. Lin Shuang, Lin Xue, take care of Su Yun. She’s new here.”

Su Yun looked at the sisters, her expression a mix of curiosity and complexity, but she didn’t show her confusion.
