Chapter 49: The Forbidden Thrill of the Pool

Su Yun found herself pinned beneath Lin Shuang in the cool depths of the pool. Their bodies pressed intimately, eyes met, though at first, Lin Shuang’s gaze flickered, unable to hold Su Yun’s.

Yet, as an unfamiliar physiological reaction slowly awakened within her, Lin Shuang began to confront the reality of her relationship with Su Yun.

This was, after all, the very pursuit of both her past and present lives. Now that it was within her grasp, she could not afford to hesitate or flee.

The scenery beneath the water’s surface was truly captivating, especially Su Yun. She felt a resurgence of a romantic thrill, a sensation entirely different from what she shared with Lin Xue. With Lin Xue, they were practically an old married couple; there were no taboos, and thus, no long-lost flutter of new love.

With Lin Shuang, however, it was a different story. Though Lin Shuang looked exactly like Lin Xue, her shyness, her youthful innocence, and the forbidden nature of their sibling-like affection stirred an inexplicable excitement within Su Yun. Of course, while they weren’t blood siblings, they shared a complete sibling bond in every other sense.

They weren’t even ‘halfway’ siblings, as Lin Shuang had been brought home by Su Yun’s parents when she was merely two or three years old.

Truthfully, Su Yun herself wasn’t entirely sure why the sister she had raised from childhood would grow up to fall in love with her, her older brother, with such an almost obsessive devotion.

Just as the two were lost in the intoxicating exchange of these emotions, Lin Xue, who had been sitting nearby, suddenly couldn’t resist speaking up to remind them.

“That’s enough. Don’t drown yourselves.”

Her words instantly broke the spell. Lin Shuang’s eyes snapped open, and she released Su Yun, rising from the water.

“Hah… hah… How exciting!” These were Lin Shuang’s first words after emerging. She touched her flushed cheeks, repeating ‘exciting’ over and over, looking every bit like a yandere.

Su Yun slowly sat up as well.

“Ah, what an insincere girl! I had to actively guide you. I feel like some perverted uncle preying on an innocent young girl,” Su Yun self-mockingly mumbled.

Lin Xue rolled her eyes, arms crossed. She was nowhere near as uninhibited as Lin Shuang.

“You two have had enough. Stop obsessing over artifact forging for a while and rest up. Prepare for the Beast Hunt Trial. It’s time to go back,” Lin Xue announced, stepping ashore.

Lin Shuang, looking utterly dazed, also stepped onto the shore, still touching her cheeks, savoring the lingering sensation. She was clearly replaying the moment.

“Heh heh.” Su Yun gave both girls a sidelong glance before quickly following them ashore.

However, just as they were about to return to their respective rooms, Lin Xue subtly made a gesture to Su Yun. As long as Lin Xue didn’t speak carelessly and kept her emotions and thoughts stable, Lin Shuang couldn’t clearly perceive what Lin Xue was thinking.

This was because their connection only allowed them to sense each other’s explicit thought fluctuations.

Upon seeing Lin Xue’s gesture, Su Yun immediately raised her hand and gave an ‘OK’ sign.

After the three returned to their rooms, Lin Shuang, still buzzing from the intense intimacy with Su Yun, wanted nothing more than to sleep soundly. She felt she had finally secured Su Yun’s love, and her taut nerves had instantly relaxed.

Time slowly passed, and soon night fell. Around nine in the evening, Su Yun calculated the time and promptly went to the door of his dwelling, opening it.

As the door opened, Lin Xue, clad in thin, translucent clothing that hinted at her figure, furtively slipped into Su Yun’s dwelling.

Once inside, both of them became much bolder. Su Yun swept Lin Xue into his arms, carried her to his bed, and pressed her beneath him, their bodies intertwining passionately.

Husband and wife were indeed husband and wife; they displayed none of Lin Shuang’s timid reactions.

Lin Xue wrapped her arms around Su Yun and initiated a fervent kiss.

“Now that that brat is asleep, you’d better satisfy me tonight. I’ve been suffering all day,” Lin Xue complained.

Su Yun chuckled softly.

“I know, I know. But my dear wife, I don’t have *that* particular ‘item’ right now, so even if I wanted to, I couldn’t satisfy you in that way,” Su Yun stated with a straight face.

Lin Xue’s face flushed crimson. She gave Su Yun a bewitching, alluring glare.

“Go on, you! Our repertoire isn’t just limited to baby-making. Don’t pretend to be ignorant when you clearly understand. If you don’t satisfy me, be careful, you might end up kneeling on the washboard,” Lin Xue threatened fiercely.

Su Yun laughed.

“Alright, alright, today, I am yours, okay? I’ll do whatever you want. But I must ask, my dear wife, you’ve been reborn into a young girl’s body, are you still so insatiably hungry?” Su Yun teased.

Lin Xue’s current demeanor was entirely different from her usual self. Ordinarily, she was an ice-cold beauty who rarely spoke or smiled. Yet, alone with Su Yun, that ice mountain instantly melted.

Simply put, Lin Xue had a cold exterior but a warm interior. She might be cold to outsiders, but she couldn’t maintain that chill with her beloved.

“Nonsense! Do you think being twelve years old means I’m truly twelve? Our bodies are at least those of adults, and my soul is that of a woman nearing thirty,” Lin Xue declared proudly.

This was the difference between a mature woman and a young girl. A mature woman could directly face her desires and clearly express what she wanted to her lover, whereas a young girl could not.

Between the two of them, there were absolutely no secrets.

Meanwhile, Lin Shuang, who had already fallen asleep, was having a beautiful dream—or perhaps, a spring dream. In it, she was passionately entwined with Su Yun.

In reality, it wasn’t truly a dream, but rather her subconscious sensing the stimulating activities between Lin Xue and Su Yun during her deep slumber.

Soon, the night passed, and the next morning, Su Yun and Lin Xue, still sleeping in each other’s arms, were suddenly roused by a series of frantic knocks on the door.

The noise woke them both.

“So noisy! Why didn’t you activate the soundproofing array? That brat Lin Shuang is already awake, and she’s angrily pounding on the door!” Lin Xue opened her eyes, looking utterly exhausted and glaring at Su Yun with displeasure.

Su Yun was stunned.

“Huh? Soundproofing array? Does this dwelling even have that feature? How did I not know?” Su Yun looked as if he hadn’t had enough sleep.

Yesterday, he and Lin Xue had been fooling around until past three in the morning before finally falling asleep.

Lin Xue rolled her eyes.

“You can activate it with your disciple identity token. Forget it, our time together is over. I’ll head back first. You deal with that girl later,” Lin Xue grumbled, then casually grabbed her clothes and got up.

Su Yun didn’t want to move; he only wanted to continue sleeping.

After Lin Xue got dressed, she went to the main door and opened it. There, she saw Lin Shuang standing with her arms crossed, fuming at the entrance.

Seeing Lin Xue’s revealing, cool attire only fueled her anger.

“Hmph!” Lin Xue gave Lin Shuang an arrogant, cold snort, saying nothing else, a wide smile spreading across her face as she walked towards her own dwelling.

“Put on some proper clothes! Don’t dress like a vixen deliberately trying to seduce men, alright?” Lin Shuang retorted.

Just before entering her room, Lin Xue said, with an air of triumph:

“That’s right! Even if we look alike, you simply don’t understand what ‘feminine charm’ truly means.” Lin Xue let out an arrogant huff and disappeared into her room.

Upon hearing this, Lin Shuang stomped her foot in frustration.

She knew it! That spring dream last night—what was that all about? When she woke up this morning, her mind was filled with all sorts of chaotic images, and she finally understood everything. Those two had seized the opportunity while her consciousness was dormant to have their affair.

Lin Shuang stormed inside.

“Hey, that’s going too far! Why did you deliberately avoid me when you did that? You jerks!” Lin Shuang walked to Su Yun’s bedside, complaining with great dissatisfaction.

Su Yun was disheveled, not wearing any clothes, merely covered by a soft blanket. Yet, in that state, he exuded boundless charm.

“So, what should we have done? We couldn’t very well invite you to join us for a threesome, could we? I wouldn’t mind, but I’m afraid you wouldn’t be able to handle it,” Su Yun lazily replied.

Lin Shuang’s face turned beet red at Su Yun’s blunt words.

“Bah! You two are like a pair of illicit lovers, sneaking around! Please consider this pure and innocent girl!” Lin Shuang complained.

Su Yun was no longer indulging Lin Shuang at all. If it had been before, there were certainly some things he wouldn’t have said to her.

“Tch! Even a young girl will eventually become a mature woman. You, your heart is still too young. Go on, get out! I’m exhausted. I need to sleep for a few days, don’t bother me,” Su Yun mumbled, then fell silent.

Lin Shuang stomped her foot in anger, then walked over to Su Yun, grabbed his hand, and bit his arm.

“Hiss… Are you a dog?” Su Yun, feeling the pain in his arm, instantly sobered up.

But Lin Shuang bit and ran. When Su Yun sat up, he only saw the door that had just been shut.

“Ah…! So annoying! I’d rather go find someone to fight,” Lin Shuang muttered, utterly vexed, and left the dwelling directly for the Sword Discourse Platform.

As for Su Yun, she glanced at her arm, then slumped back down, feeling utterly drained.

“Crazy woman! So tiring. Good thing I’m not a man anymore. If I were, she probably would have sucked me dry. Truly, a woman nearing thirty is as fierce as a tiger!” Su Yun sighed, turning over.
