Su Yun let out a deep sigh upon hearing those words.
“Oh! Mother, I’m all grown up now, not the little kid I used to be. It’s so embarrassing having you watch over me like this. Please, give me some space.” Su Yun pleaded once more.
Su Muxue, seeing Su Yun’s persistent requests, pouted her lips in annoyance.
“Hmph, acting all grown-up. Fine, I’ll give you some space.” Su Muxue muttered and then turned to leave the room.
Su Yun watched as his mother, exuding a youthful aura, walked out. Only then did he let out a sigh of relief.
“If only I could have a real little brother. Unfortunately, that’s not the case.” Su Yun sighed.
What did he mean by that?
It turns out, Su Yun was a reincarnated soul with memories of his past life. He had come from a world called Earth and had experienced a very dramatic situation.
What happened?
In his past life, Su Yun was about to marry his fiancée, but he had a stepsister with a brother complex. This stepsister, who was not related by blood, was five years younger and always insisted on marrying him, causing constant conflicts with his fiancée.
The situation escalated to the point where both his fiancée and his stepsister ended up on the roof of a building, forcing him to choose who to save first. Su Yun, using all his wit, managed to talk them both down.
Just as they were about to leave the roof, Su Yun heard a loud thunderclap, and everything went dark. His last memory was seeing his fiancée and stepsister struck by lightning as well.
When he regained consciousness, he found himself in a completely different world, transformed into a child.
Su Yun wondered if his stepsister and fiancée had also been brought to this world. Unfortunately, he lacked the ability to practice cultivation or search for them.
As for the weapon he used earlier, it was a gun from his past life. From a young age, Su Yun knew he couldn’t cultivate in this world where strength was everything. He had studied arms technology and was a graduate student at a military academy.
Over a long period, he managed to create a crude but effective handgun capable of supersonic speed. This was faster than any cultivator in this world could react, making it an effective weapon.
Given enough time and materials, Su Yun believed he could create even more powerful weapons. He knew that if he couldn’t rely on himself, he had to find external means to enhance his strength.
“Oh no, this is so embarrassing,” Su Yun muttered, blushing as he reluctantly put on the red dress in his hands. He comforted himself, thinking that a little humiliation was nothing if it meant success.
“This fabric feels so nice, cool to the touch,” Su Yun thought as he put on the dress. Suddenly, he noticed that the dress seemed to have a special energy that eased his pain.
“This is amazing! The dress seems to be healing my injuries,” Su Yun said as he stood up, feeling his pain dissipate.
He also noticed that the dress, which was originally meant for an adult, adjusted itself to fit his body perfectly. As the dress molded to his skin, the comfort he initially felt turned into an intense, piercing pain.
A fiery red energy began to seep into Su Yun’s body, feeling like flames burning his skin. Su Yun tried to rip the dress off, but it clung to his body like a second skin.
The energy grew stronger, and Su Yun felt like he was being engulfed in flames. “It’s so hot, so painful,” he groaned, rolling on the ground in agony. The energy burned through every layer of his skin, completely consuming his body.
After about ten minutes, Su Yun couldn’t take it anymore and let out a blood-curdling scream. The scream was accompanied by a strange bird-like sound.
Following this, Su Yun lost consciousness and collapsed. Su Muxue, who had been anxiously waiting outside, rushed in and saw Su Yun lying on the ground, charred beyond recognition.
“Cloud, my baby,” Su Muxue cried out in shock, rushing to Su Yun’s side. But there was no sign of her son; he had been completely burned.
“Cloud, you can’t scare your mother like this! What happened? Wake up, you little pervert, how could you do this to our son?” Su Muxue raged, cursing at someone.
Just as Su Muxue was frantic, she noticed golden light shooting out from Su Yun’s charred body. She stepped back, watching in awe as cracks began to form and spread across his body.
With a final crack, Su Yun’s body exploded in a burst of smoke, filling the room. Su Muxue retreated, coughing from the thick smoke, but noticed a figure standing amidst the haze.
“Cough, cough, what’s going on? So much smoke,” a girl’s voice echoed from the smoke. Su Muxue quickly cast a spell to open the windows and doors, using her magic to clear the smoke.
When the smoke finally dissipated, Su Muxue saw a young woman in a red dress with long, flowing hair. The girl looked just like her.
“What?” Su Muxue was stunned, unable to move. The girl, noticing Su Muxue, walked over.
“Mother, what’s happening? Did my father try to kill me? This dress just released flames and engulfed me,” the girl said, explaining her experience to Su Muxue.
When she reached Su Muxue, the mother finally snapped out of her daze.
“You, you are Cloud?” Su Muxue asked, her voice trembling.
The girl was confused by her mother’s question.
“Mother, what’s wrong? I’m Su Yun,” she replied, looking bewildered.
Su Muxue, realizing the truth, reached out and touched the girl’s slightly swollen chest. The unexpected touch startled the girl, who felt a strange sensation and looked down.
“Me? What’s this?” The girl saw something astonishing and instinctively touched her chest, her face turning pale.
Meanwhile, Su Muxue slowly withdrew her hand, her face a mask of shock.
“Cloud, you, you’ve turned into a girl?”
A high-pitched scream echoed through the room.
“What the hell? Where’s my brother? I, I’ve turned into a girl? What’s going on?”
Indeed, the girl in the red dress was Su Yun. For some unknown reason, putting on the red dress had changed his gender. From Su Muxue’s reaction, it was clear this transformation was unexpected and not her doing.
The mother and daughter—oh, now it should be said—stood in stunned silence, their faces a picture of confusion and bewilderment.
