Chapter 61: Spacetime Equations and a Furtive Encounter

By impacting the central particles with sufficient energy, one could achieve the effect of deflecting spacetime rifts; with precise angles and accurate numerical values, a specific point in time and space could be reached….

As Joshua sketched with a pencil in the distant Holy City, her brow furrowed slightly over the data on the blueprint.

“Theoretically, this method is feasible… but what does Noah intend to use it for? To escape the Demon King’s Castle?

Surely not. If she truly wished to escape, why would she bother with such an elaborate method?”

She tapped the edge of her workbench with the blunt end of her pencil, the rhythmic beat providing a steady cadence to her thoughts.

Ultimately unable to reach a conclusion, she shook her head, swept the half-finished sketch from her workbench, removed her round-rimmed glasses, and hopped off her chair.

“Perhaps I should check the forbidden archives again for any relevant information… or find someone who might be able to help…”

Murmuring to herself, Joshua gathered her compiled notes and departed from the workshop where she had toiled for so long.

Within the Demon King’s Castle, Issac’s search for Noah proved fruitless, leaving her with no choice but to diligently perform the tasks of a scullery maid, all the while hoping to serendipitously encounter her generous sister Noah.

“Oh? This is… near the library?”

Issac noticed the pattern on the door, and was reminded of the head maid’s earnest admonitions.

Many rooms within the Demon King’s Castle were not to be entered casually; most rooms on the third floor and above comprised the Demon King’s private quarters, strictly off-limits without explicit permission.

Furthermore, rooms such as the armory, treasury, and library were not to be delved into too deeply; should deeper access be required, one must report to Executive Avril, who would then dispatch patrolling knights for escort and supervision.

Some ancient murals, statues, and the like were also not to be touched casually, to prevent any adverse effects.

Additionally, the main kitchen and the material warehouse behind the castle were strictly forbidden.

Not that these areas posed any mortal danger, but they were typically populated by bare-chested, heavily muscled Minotaurs and Satyrs, whose appearance might inflict indelible trauma upon the delicate sensibilities of the younger maids.

In simpler terms, it was an assault on the eyes.

“The library door… why was it ajar?”

Intrigued, Issac peered stealthily through the crack in the door, just in time to spot a figure fumbling around a statue near the entrance to the restricted archives.

‘It might be Noah sister!’

Her fervent hope of finding Noah sister outweighed her caution regarding the forbidden archives.

She cautiously squeezed through the crack in the door, creeping stealthily towards the furtive figure.

Only upon drawing closer did she notice that it was a slender young woman with impeccable, porcelain-white skin, luscious pink lips, and smooth, golden curls.

At that moment, she was kneeling beneath an eagle statue, meticulously writing a series of complex and obscure equations with a piece of chalk, her intense focus resembling that of a student utterly engrossed in solving a complex riddle.

What surprised Issac even more was that this strikingly beautiful young woman was dressed in the same black and white maid uniform as herself.

‘Honestly, such behavior is quite dangerous, sneaking into the forbidden archives and all.’

Issac pouted slightly, feeling a pang of disappointment that it wasn’t her beloved Noah sister.

Nevertheless, she could not simply stand by and watch an innocent young maid stumble into peril.

After all, she was now a maid of the Demon King’s Castle, and it was her duty to prevent fellow colleagues from encountering danger.

“Hey.”

“Waaah!”

Issac tapped her shoulder, and the intensely focused golden-haired girl instantly shrieked and collapsed to the floor, emitting a rather undignified sound.

Fortunately, she managed to rein herself in, quickly silencing her scream after only a single cry.

She glanced around, and only after confirming that no one had been drawn by her cry and noticing Issac’s scullery maid uniform, did she finally breathe a sigh of relief.

“Whew… don’t scare me like that! You walk so silently, I thought the Demon King陛下 had arrived.”

The golden-haired girl clutched her chest and continuously sighed in relief.

The piece of chalk she had been writing with had, in her fright, clattered far away.

“This simply won’t do.

As a maid tasked with cleaning the library, you cannot enter the forbidden archives without permission.”

Adopting the air of a seasoned senior, Issac placed her hands on her hips and wagged a finger at the girl, her small frame feigning an adorable solemnity.

“Considering it was merely a moment of curiosity, Issac will let you off this time.

Now, hurry back to your post and don’t venture into such dangerous places again!”

Issac’s pouting lips and seemingly indignant yet genuinely concerned demeanor caused the golden-haired girl to pause, before a sly curve appeared at the corner of her lips.

She pressed the last character beneath the statue, and as if recognizing the equation, the entire eagle statue pulsed with a brilliant azure light.

A void shimmered into existence, and the golden-haired girl simply tumbled inside.

“Eh! Wait!”

Issac had no time for further contemplation; her inherent saintly responsibility and the urgent need to rescue another compelled her to follow without hesitation, leaping into the abyss.

After both figures vanished into the void, the eagle statue reverted to its original state, and the chalk-written equations faded into nothingness.

Only a solitary piece of chalk beneath the bookshelf remained, a silent testament to their recent presence.

“Hmm-hmm-hmm~.”

“Which one to choose~, which one to choose~?”

Noah hummed a cheerful tune as she perused the array of pre-made garments within her wardrobe.

Given Noah’s unusual proportions, most of her clothing was custom-made or designed as formal wear to ensure the best possible fit.

Though, regardless of how well the clothes fit, they invariably seemed to possess a certain alluring quality on Noah.

“I’ve decided, this one it is~!”

Noah cheerfully retrieved a pale blue dress from the wardrobe, along with its matching undergarments.

With a delicate tap of her toes, her long, fair legs slid into the pale blue silken undergarments.

As the fabric clung to her, fully encasing her form:

“Mmm~.”

A faint blush bloomed across Noah’s rosy, fair face, and a comfortable hum involuntarily escaped her nostrils.

The ample brassiere was large enough to encompass an entire head.

Noah’s movements were gentle and meticulous as she slowly fastened it from behind.

Even the slight friction at the front, as she tightened the straps, caused Noah’s body to tremble imperceptibly.

Piece by piece, the ornate components of the dress adhered to Noah’s figure: the long, graceful narrow sleeves, the voluminous short skirt, a small pink hat adorned with flowers, and a special design that emphasized her full bust and slender waist.

A small brown waistcoat further accentuated the generous curves enveloped by her white blouse, its exquisite ruffles tracing a full arc from her constricted neckline, extending all the way down to the underbust.
