The chaotic interlude finally concluded with Ila’s compromise, and Leila called upon the remaining two students to introduce themselves.
However, after Ye Yunchu’s strange answers to what should have been normal questions, Mona and Ling Ling exchanged a glance. They tacitly chose to give an awkward smile, shaking their heads in refusal.
“It seems Ye Yunchu is the only one who introduced herself, even though her introduction had nothing to do with being a Magical Girl.”
“Ugh…” Ye Yunchu, having become the unfortunate one singled out, hung her head in shame. Her two friends’ retreat only heightened her embarrassment, making her feel as though she had prevented them from introducing themselves properly.
‘Wouldn’t I be the only one left looking foolish?’
She instinctively pulled a shovel from behind her back and skillfully began digging a large pit in the ground. Tears welled in her eyes as she spoke, her voice thick with sobs.
“It’s all my fault for preventing everyone from speaking normally… someone like me should just dig a hole and bury myself!”
“Ah, Yunchu is digging a pit again!”
“Mona and I aren’t refusing to speak because of you!”
Mona and Ling Ling immediately rushed forward, grabbing Ye Yunchu’s flailing arms, one on each side. They were all too familiar with this routine; one snatched the shovel, while the other held her arms.
Taking turns, they consoled and dissuaded her, until the self-isolating Ye Yunchu recovered from her digging frenzy.
The large pit left in the ground served as a testament to Ye Yunchu’s moment of self-seclusion.
“To dig such a massive pit without even transforming—that’s truly an astonishing talent.”
“Mhm.” Ila, for once, shared Leila’s opinion, nodding silently.
No matter how many times she witnessed it, she was always amazed by this incredible digging ability.
“Ah, Teacher Bele and Sis Ila, please don’t just stand there enjoying the show!”
“Honestly, it’s all Teacher Bele’s fault for giving such strange answers!”
Mona gently patted Ye Yunchu’s back, caring for her companion like an older sister, while pouting slightly as she complained to Leila.
In that moment, her mind had been too slow to process it. Now, thinking it over, how could a Magical Girl possibly need to be skilled in hypnotic brainwashing? Those were skills villains should master.
Most importantly, Magical Girl White Rose could *never* master such things!
“Oh, tell me, what exactly did I say that was strange?”
“Magical Girls are warriors of love and justice! How could they possibly need to be skilled in evil techniques like hypnotic brainwashing?”
“Who says Magical Girls can’t be skilled in those techniques?”
“This…”
Mona was taken aback by Leila’s counter-question. Indeed, there was no such rule in the Magical Girl regulations.
“Think about it: if you’re not skilled in these techniques, and you’re captured by ill-intentioned enemies who use hypnosis, brainwashing, and memory alteration on you, you’ll fall without resistance, transforming into a Dark Princess in a tight suit, becoming the enemy’s younger sister, and turning your blades against your former comrades.”
“This is something that actually happened, you know.”
Ila, whose arm was linked with Leila’s, felt personally offended. With a smile, she stealthily reached out towards Leila’s waist.
‘This demon! She’s clearly using innuendo to insult me!’
‘Watch me strangle this scoundrel!’
She tried, but saw no change in Leila’s expression. Ila wondered if her strength had diminished; before she recovered her memories, doing this to Leila had been incredibly effective.
With that thought, she suspiciously twisted the flesh on her own waist.
‘So painful!!!’
“This, this…”
Mona was rendered speechless by the retort, at a loss for words. Her understanding of Magical Girls was limited to anime and stories, so she had no idea how to refute Teacher Bele, who was a senior.
After all, Teacher Bele was a leader-level Magical Girl sent by headquarters; she surely knew more than Mona did.
‘But, but, I still feel like something is very wrong!’
Her older brother was a Magical Girl, and the strongest Magical Girl White Rose. He had made the world understand that Magical Girls were the embodiment of love and hope, making ‘Magical Girl’ a synonym for all things beautiful.
She might not understand other Magical Girls, but of all of them, she knew Magical Girl White Rose better than anyone!
Therefore, she could not tolerate her brother being insulted like this!
Mona was grateful that Leila had come to the remote Qingling Town to guide the three of them, but this concerned the dignity of Magical Girl White Rose. Everything was about defending the beauty her brother brought!
“In any case, the Magical Girl I know would absolutely never learn such skills. Magical Girl White Rose would absolutely, positively never learn any of the things Teacher Bele just mentioned!”
‘My brother usually wears an unapproachable expression; how could he possibly learn such underhanded tricks?’
Leila paused upon hearing this, then smiled and turned to look at Ila beside her.
Evidently, she knew that the Magical Girl Mona spoke of was Ila.
Ila’s mouth twitched awkwardly. To be used as an example right now—was it a coincidence? Or was the Dark Demon Princess calculating?
Regardless, Ila felt she couldn’t escape the scene of her own ‘execution’; instead, it would only heighten Leila’s amusement.
“Oh, it seems the Magical Girl you know, Mona, is very noble.”
“Of course! Bro… no, Magical Girl White Rose is the warmest, strongest, gentlest, kindest, most elegant, most beautiful existence I’ve ever seen, truly like an angel.”
Ila’s grip on Leila’s arm tightened, and the smile on her face gradually stiffened.
‘Sis, stop talking!’
‘Can’t you see Leila is barely holding back her laughter?’
“Someone like him would absolutely never learn hypnosis like Teacher Bele said, and he would never be hypnotized and brainwashed by others as you later described! He would never fall and become someone else’s younger sister, absolutely not!”
Mona’s voice was particularly firm, especially on that final “absolutely not.”
Magical Girl White Rose had only ever lost one battle since his debut—to the Dark Demon Princess Leila. How could there be any possibility of him being defeated, hypnotized, or brainwashed, let alone falling and becoming a Dark Princess?
Most, most, *most* importantly, her brother could absolutely never become someone else’s younger sister!
Mona swore on her twenty years of singlehood that it was absolutely impossible!
“Hahahahaha!”
Leila could no longer hold it in, covering her mouth as she burst into laughter.
This was even more psychologically tormenting than a public execution. Ila felt as though something within her had shattered into a million pieces.
‘Sis, if you keep this up, how will your brother ever dare to reveal his true identity in front of you?’
Ila looked at the resolute Mona with a sense of utter despair. Especially when Leila tapped her flat chest, her eyes filled with mockery, Ila felt as though the world was playing a cruel joke on her.
‘Let this incurable world be destroyed…’
