Chapter 65: A Fleeting Truce

I bit Sung Yohan’s tongue as it entered my mouth, but he persistently pushed further, scraping the roof of my mouth and tracing my teeth.
Every time his tongue ravaged the inside of my mouth, blood spread, and I tasted iron.

“Sung Yohan-ssi, stop…!”

Far from being guided, I was just being forcibly violated by him, just like last time.

I continued to resist him, but no sound could be heard, as if a barrier had been cast around us.
However, before long, with an explosion, the sound started to return.

As he, who had been pinning me down, was thrown off, I hurriedly composed myself and moved far away.
I saw him, along with a burning door.

“What are you doing.”

He asked, looking at Sung Yohan with a serious face.

“I’m guiding.”

He said nonchalantly, but I was in a state of near-assault.
My clothes were all torn, and my lips were swollen.

He saw my state and hurriedly came to my side.

“Are you okay?”

I just nodded and observed him.
He was looking at us with a smile, as if he had no shame.

“We were in the middle of guiding. Would you mind leaving?”

“Cut it out. Shinui-ssi dislikes it.”

“This is a guide’s job. And he and I are a pair. I don’t think it’s something you should be concerned about.”

At those words, he said something to him, but I couldn’t hear it.

However, the conversation must have gone well, as he made a gesture of raising both hands low, as if to say he would back down for now.

“Shinui-ssi, see you at home.”

Only after he disappeared with a teleport did he quickly approach me.
I couldn’t believe he had left so easily, so I asked him.

“What did you say?”

“I told him to go. Are you okay?”

He didn’t seem like the type to leave just because he was told to, but for now, I was relieved that he had meekly backed down.

“Have you been treated like this by him all this time?”

“…No.”

I said, shaking my head.
Now, I was scared of him.
He was an Esper, and as he had said, if he imprinted on me, I had no choice but to be violated. I realized that clearly today.

If he hadn’t helped me just now, it would have gone as he had wanted.

“I think it would be better for you to rest in the infirmary today.”

He said, tidying my clothes, but at that, I became curious as to how he knew I was on the verge of being assaulted by him.

“How did you know to come just now?”

“Your wavelength was sharper than usual.”

At his words, I knew that he could also feel my wavelength.
It was probably because our matching rate was high.

After his words, there were no more words between us.
In the end, unable to bear the silence, I was the one to stand up first.

“If anything happens, you can tell me anytime.”

He said before I left the guiding room.
I didn’t answer his words and came out.
I could feel his wavelength following me, but I didn’t feel any aversion today.

I didn’t know how he had returned to the past like me, or why, but ever since the day I had guided him, he had been desperate to open my heart.

Perhaps because he knew I had memories from before the regression, he started to approach me more often than before.

He would always come to find me when I was in the 01S team’s exclusive room, and he even brought coffee and dessert, something he would have never done in his life.

He even bought coffee not only for me but also for the team members.
The team members also seemed surprised at his completely different appearance from before.

The Hyun Taewoon in my memory didn’t get along well with the team members and always fought with them.
But now, they seemed to be on fairly amicable terms.

“Did you know that ever since you came, Guide Shinui, he comes to the team’s exclusive room every time?”

I knew it well without being told.
He came so blatantly every time I was in the team’s exclusive room that it was impossible not to know.

“I’ve never seen him like that before. You two have a high matching rate, so how about you try being a pair?”

At Minseong’s words, I shook my head.
However, I was secretly surprised by his suggestion.
Before returning to the past, he was the one who had always told me to break my exclusive contract with him.

“I don’t think the pair system suits me.”

“That’s a shame. To be honest, I asked because I thought you could join our team if you became his pair.”

With his recent actions, I had once again notified the Association of the pair’s termination, and I had also stopped going to the 05R team.
I was in a situation where I had no team, and thinking of the memories I had built with my family-like team members, I also wanted to join the 01S team again.

But my thoughts kept changing.
I would think that it would be okay to stay at the Association if I could be with the 01S team members, and then I would want to just quit everything and resign.
Every time I resolved to resign, I was still stuck at the Association, so I felt even more indecisive for constantly going back and forth like this.

“I have no intention of joining a team right now. If I do join another team later, I’ll come to the 01S team.”

“Really? You promise?”

I nodded and checked the time.
It was about time to go home.

“I’ll be on my way now.”

“Get home safely.”

As I came out after receiving the team members’ farewells, he quickly followed.

“I’ll take you home.”

“I don’t need it.”

He, who had promised not to come close, had been approaching me and trying to talk without hesitation since we both found out we had returned from the future.

“And you, don’t be so blatant.”

“Was I being blatant?”

“Yeah. You were only looking at my face the whole time.”

“Because I can’t see you otherwise.”

I couldn’t understand his behavior, which was as if he really liked me.

“Why are you suddenly like this? Do you really like me?”

“Yeah. I told you I liked you.”

“If you’re just trying to make a move on me because I became an S-Class Guide, then stop.”

“That’s not it. I know I’m not trustworthy, but I hope you’ll believe me at least a little.”

Looking at his face, it wasn’t a face that was lying.
Come to think of it, there was no need for him to be so desperate with me.
As he said, he felt sorry for me.
But I didn’t want to accept his apology easily.

“I have no intention of forgiving you.”

“I know. I’m not asking you to accept my apology. Just, even if it’s just a little, let me ask for forgiveness.”

I no longer answered his words and moved to Wonjae’s training room.
He still followed behind me, but at some point, his wavelength disappeared.

It felt like the year had just changed, but it was already the New Year.
Since the housekeeper didn’t come, Wonjae and I made and ate rice cake soup together.

If I had a family, I would have spent the New Year at my family home, but since we were both alone, we ended up spending it together.

“Wonjae, where did you say your parents were?”

“In Sector 92.”

Sector 92 was close to the cemetery where my mother was enshrined.

“Shall we go and see them? My mother is also in a place close to that sector.”

“Really?”

“Yeah. It’s stuffy just staying at home like this.”

At my words, he said he wanted to see his parents after a long time and also wanted to visit my mother’s grave.
He and I bought some simple alcohol, fruit, and dried pollack at the supermarket and went to the grave.

Perhaps because it had been half a year since he had seen his parents, he couldn’t hold back his tears as soon as we arrived at the grave.
At that sight, I also felt a lump in my throat, but I comforted him and we paid our respects together.
And then we moved to the cemetery where my mother was.

He seemed to have a lot to say to my mother, as he talked about everything that had happened in front of the grave.
I also watched him, and then, seeing that it was getting close to dinnertime, I left a message with him that we would come again and left the cemetery.

Since it took over an hour to get home, we had dinner nearby and then moved again.
Perhaps because we had been out for a long time, I was a little tired when we got home.
He also came into the entrance with a tired face.

“Since we’re tired, let’s wash up and go straight to bed.”

“Okay.”

I took off my coat and came inside, and the living room light was on brightly.
And Sung Yohan, whom I hadn’t seen for a while, was sitting on the sofa.

I hadn’t noticed that he had come in because I hadn’t felt his wavelength.
The moment I realized that he could hide his wavelength, a chill ran down my spine.

“What are you?”

“I’ve been away from home for too long, haven’t I?”

I was planning on getting rid of his room completely on this occasion since he hadn’t been home for a while, but I was flustered to see him appear like this.

“Why did you come back?”

“It’s the New Year, so I had to see your face.”

I didn’t want to see his face.
When I looked at him with a frown, he shrugged his shoulders and continued.

“From your face, it seems I’m an uninvited guest.”

“If you know that, then please leave.”

At my words, he stood up and walked to the room he had been using.
I wanted to tell him to get out of the house right away, but the words he had said, threatening me with him on the last day I had guided him, weighed on my mind.
So in the end, I couldn’t tell him to leave.

“Hyung, are you just going to let him be?”

“Let’s just leave him for now. We’re tired from being out today.”

“It’s more tiring having him here.”

“Then let’s go back to the hotel.”

He had a face that wanted to kick him out right away, but knowing that he couldn’t stand against him, in the end, he moved to the hotel.

After this day, he didn’t come back to the house, and since he was busy with work, he didn’t contact me either.

I thought he would ask me to guide him soon, but since there was no sign of that, it was just ominous.
