Chapter 30: Xingxing’s Calculated Ascent

“It’s truly beyond suspicious. Why would that little girl want something like that?

I’ve seen the description for the Fallen Angel class; it’s indeed irreversible.

After transforming into a Fallen Angel, one can no longer capture battle pets.

Doesn’t that effectively hand victory over on a silver platter?”

Clutching the Lava Staff in her hand, dressed in the Level 130 blue set armor crafted by Hank, Xingxing strolled through the forest, musing aloud to herself.

“Perhaps that little girl also has her own special mission, just like me, and might not need to capture Azure Dragon.

But that’s none of my concern, for as long as I manage to capture White Tiger today, any schemes or plots they might have will be rendered utterly useless!”

To be honest, the other players had all underestimated Xingxing.

Xingxing appeared to have a poor temperament and seemed inept at gaming, but all of that was merely a facade.

Within a team, with others taking the lead in grinding monsters or devising strategies, she was content to simply enjoy the benefits; after all, everyone received the same experience points, and loot was typically divided equally.

In reality, however, she had played numerous games, and while she might not be considered a master, she was certainly no novice, a fact evident from her character name alone.

Chen Lili was the one least familiar with online games, likely using her real name, whereas “Xingxing” was clearly a gamertag—the kind that holds personal significance and is consistently used across almost every game a player engages with.

Consequently, even though many harbored suspicions about Xingxing, and Xue Hu had even fully discerned Xingxing’s true objective, not a single person attempted to stop her from venturing out to complete her special mission.

Everyone believed that Xingxing, being just a young girl and a novice, could never possibly accomplish the mission on her own.

This collective underestimation inadvertently provided Xingxing with a significant opportunity, allowing her to complete her special mission undisturbed by anyone.

This was also due to the fact that the current players were still mere novice participants, only in the introductory phase of the game.

Had they been official competitors in the Destiny Game, they would never have afforded their enemies any opportunity, instead crushing such possibilities in their infancy.

No matter how impossible one might deem something, as long as even the slightest chance of it occurring exists, it simply cannot be tolerated!

“Hmph, you all claimed the Enchanted Forest was so perilous at night, yet when I was fighting alongside you yesterday, I actually discovered a relatively safe path.”

Xingxing continued her trek, clearing monsters as she went; though she appeared relentlessly busy, the density and attack power of the creatures here were significantly lower than in other areas.

“Hmph, so you look down on me, do you? No matter.

The more you underestimate me, the more opportunities you grant me.

By the time you receive the system notification and realize you’ve overlooked a formidable opponent, it will already be too late!”

Before long, Xingxing arrived at the White Tiger Forest, guided by the system’s prompt, and her mind sharpened into intense focus.

As a mission objective, White Tiger would certainly not be an easy opponent, and Xingxing, being no fool, naturally understood this.

Slowly, Xingxing explored along the forest path, and soon enough, she located White Tiger’s resting place; much like Azure Dragon, White Tiger was deep in slumber during the night.

Apparently, she had yet to enter White Tiger’s alert range, a fact Xingxing quietly celebrated.

She then retrieved numerous dishes from her inventory.

After carefully examining and arranging them, she began to consume them in a specific sequence.

“Heh heh, do you all truly believe my dishes are worthless?

In reality, it’s simply that you don’t know how to use them!

While the buffs each dish grants are indeed unremarkable on their own and can’t compare to equipment, the effects of different dishes can actually stack!”

Xingxing thought with a sneer as she continued to consume the dishes.

“First, I’ll use the dishes that boost attributes; once those are maximized, I’ll move on to the attribute-doubling dishes.

After stacking those, I’ll consume the dishes with special effects, and finally, those that extend buff durations.”

Soon, a kaleidoscope of colorful lights began to emanate from Xingxing’s body.

As a Level 159 player, Xingxing’s original stats included 15,900 HP, 31,800 MP, 7,950 Attack and Intelligence, complemented by her full blue set, which provided 130 Physical Defense and 65 Magic Defense.

As for certain hidden attributes, such as penetration and critical hit rate, those were beyond Xingxing’s ability to ascertain.

Now, however, Xingxing’s attributes had transformed to a staggering 159,000 HP, 159,000 MP, 15,900 Attack and Intelligence, along with 260 Physical Defense and 130 Magic Defense.

These stats were comparable to those of a formidable boss!

Nonetheless, even with the buff-extending dishes, the entire effect would last for only three minutes.

Since dishes could not be consumed during combat, Xingxing knew she had to make the absolute most of these crucial three minutes!

Exceeding this three-minute window would lead to extremely dire consequences!
