Wang Tianming discovered that when he controlled Angel Fuling, the “Rescuer,” he couldn’t move as freely as he had when controlling Shikigami in the previous game.
Although his thoughts could direct her movements—forward, backward, left, or right—he couldn’t make her spontaneously punch, kick, or even express emotions.
Any interactive scenario required him to issue explicit commands.
Wang Tianming first attempted to attack the air, and Angel Fuling merely extended her right hand forward.
While it didn’t resemble an attack, a brief pause followed this action.
This was characteristic; regardless of whether a Hunter successfully struck a target, their movements would momentarily halt after performing an attack.
Perplexed by what constituted his attack, Wang Tianming then issued a charged attack command.
Every Hunter possessed a unique charged attack, which broadened their attack range but simultaneously slowed their strike speed.
A sphere of light materialized in Angel Fuling’s hand.
After a brief charge, she thrust this luminous orb forward, and it traveled a short distance before detonating.
Evidently, the blast radius of this light sphere defined Angel Fuling’s charged attack range.
Frankly, it seemed rather magical, yet its reach was limited; while visually impressive, its practical effectiveness in hitting targets remained questionable.
“Oh! Oh!” A distinctly lewd cry sounded beside Angel Fuling.
Lacking the “Ear Bud” (TL Note: A Hunter’s skill in Identity V that notifies them when a Survivor is within a certain radius.) talent, Angel Fuling remained oblivious to the human presence so close to her.
A young man, sporting a full beard and a baseball cap, was now making peculiar noises beside her, brandishing a flashlight.
Angel Fuling recognized him as the “Sixologist” Player 6, who had nicknamed himself “Looks Like a Monkey” and was playing as the most notoriously ‘troll’ character in the entire manor: Kreacher Pierson, the “Thief.”
In this game, players couldn’t speak, nor did characters have dialogue lines.
However, this didn’t mean characters were entirely voiceless.
Beyond the sounds of attacking, being attacked, and the gasps of exhaustion from running, characters could employ various inherent actions to emit simple exclamations like “Oh,” “Ah,” “Hmm,” or “Hey.”
‘This fellow is truly itching for trouble,’ Angel Fuling thought, watching the small figure conspicuously performing emotes instead of decoding a cipher machine.
‘Could he possibly be the “Destroyer”?’
With that thought, Angel Fuling soared towards Kreacher Pierson.
Indeed, as an angel, flight was her natural mode of transport, though currently, she was in a low-altitude glide, making it almost indistinguishable from walking.
Kreacher Pierson immediately began his “reverse parking” maneuver, raising his “flashlight” and aiming it directly at Angel Fuling.
A progress bar, indicating the flashlight’s beam, materialized before Angel Fuling’s eyes.
Once this progress bar filled completely, Angel Fuling would be “blinded,” temporarily losing her vision and becoming stunned on the spot.
However, after shining the light for merely two seconds, Kreacher Pierson paused, seemingly taken aback.
He then switched off his “flashlight” and began to gesticulate wildly, shouting.
Following this, he even dropped to the ground, his backside facing Angel Fuling, as he leered and suggestively patted his own rear.
Angel Fuling, too, was momentarily stunned.
Then, as if a realization dawned upon her, she performed a small pirouette and promptly walked away from Kreacher Pierson.
Suddenly, the avatar of Eli Clark, the “Seer,” transformed from full health to critical, and within three seconds, Eli’s avatar showed him in a downed state.
‘This “Seer,” who arrogantly named himself “Little Bird Towards Heaven,” turned out to be an ‘instantly downed’ player (TL Note: A player who is immediately incapacitated by the Hunter at the start of a match.)?!’
