Join the ServerWith eager anticipation, Turkey pulled off the young woman’s underwear, only to be struck with a look of utter bewilderment.
“What… how can there be a little cock here!”
Shen Jing’an, who had been pleading for Lin Duo’s mercy, abruptly fell silent. Her eyes widened, fixated in disbelief on Lin Duo’s crotch.
This was the first time since Lin Duo arrived in Nan’an City that their genitalia had been exposed, and to three people no less. Overwhelmed by shame and indignation, Lin Duo attempted to cover themselves with their free hand.
However, Turkey ruthlessly seized their delicate arm, pinning it to the ground. He resembled a child who had discovered a fascinating new toy.
He leaned in close, observing meticulously, even probing with his other hand. Finally, he declared, “Damn it all! There are two balls here! This little lady is actually a hermaphrodite!”
Uncle Kong, too, wore a look of astonishment. “Well, I never! To think such a beautiful little hermaphrodite exists.”
Turkey’s ‘little tent’ in his pants had deflated. He stood up, a regretful expression on his face. “I truly fell for your tricks; all that excitement for nothing. As parched as I am, I wouldn’t touch a hermaphrodite.”
He then turned to Uncle Kong. “But Uncle Kong, this little hermaphrodite is quite a looker. Why don’t you—”
“Get lost!” Uncle Kong slapped Turkey aside, simultaneously dropping his nearly finished cigar to the ground and crushing it underfoot. “Enough of this. Let’s go, time to get down to business.”
Yet, Turkey remained persistent, his gaze turning lewd as he scrutinized Shen Jing’an. “This one surely isn’t a hermaphrodite, is she? Why don’t I take her first? It would at least sate some of your anger, Uncle Kong.”
To his surprise, Uncle Kong stopped him, his voice low and firm. “There’s a rule on our path: we don’t defile the wives and daughters of others. Let’s not break tradition. Come on, let’s go.”
As the two men departed the factory, Lin Duo, still sobbing, used their toes to hook their skirt and underwear back. With their free hand and a twist of their waist, they managed to put them back on.
They then adjusted their small bra and pulled down their lifted top. Despite being dressed again, the repulsive saliva from Turkey lingered on their skin, palpable and disgusting.
This sensation intensified Lin Duo’s sorrow, causing them to burst into loud sobs once more.
Shen Jing’an, who had observed the entire process intently, finally spoke, her voice tentative. “Um, Lin Duo, so you’re actually a boy?”
At this point, Lin Duo felt utterly devoid of hope, even contemplating biting their tongue to commit suicide on the spot. However, sensing they owed their roommate an explanation, they forced themselves to compose their emotions.
Lin Duo then briefly recounted their life story to Shen Jing’an.
Though the tale was rather long, the factory offered no entertainment, making it an ideal setting for storytelling.
After finishing, Lin Duo took a deep breath. “That’s how it is. While it’s true I was born a boy, I’ve felt like a girl since childhood—as if I was born into the wrong body, or God played a cruel little joke.”
“I didn’t deliberately deceive you. It’s just that if my true identity were exposed, I wouldn’t be able to continue my normal daily life.”
Shen Jing’an merely stared blankly at the factory ceiling, offering no reply.
After a prolonged silence, Lin Duo couldn’t help but speak again. “Xiaojing, if you hate me, just curse me out. Say anything, no matter how harsh. I’ll understand.”
Finally, Shen Jing’an spoke softly. “Hate? What is there to hate you for? We’ve shared a dorm for a year, and you’ve never done anything to offend me. Yes, we’ve had physical intimacy, but I was always the one who initiated it. What fault could you possibly have?”
“Xiaojing…”
“No wonder you never wore only underwear in front of others, no wonder you never went to the public bathhouse, no wonder you always hid in a cubicle or under the covers when changing…”
Shen Jing’an took a deep, shuddering breath, a bitter smile gracing her lips. “Never mind. We’re probably never getting out of here anyway. What’s the point of talking about it now?”
“They… will they really kill us?” No one is immune to the fear of death, and Lin Duo was no exception.
“It’s highly probable. You’ve seen those TV dramas, haven’t you? Kidnappers usually wear thick masks when abducting hostages. Why would they show their true faces like this?”
Shen Jing’an sounded incredibly despondent. “And Uncle Kong’s grudge against my father is truly immense; there’s likely no way to resolve it. In a way, I’m sorry for you; this matter had nothing to do with you originally.”
“It’s too late now…” Lin Duo closed their eyes, contemplating the abrupt end to their blossoming life. A wave of terror washed over them.
Yet, after the fear subsided, a strange sense of release emerged. Even if they survived, their male identity was now exposed.
Given their adoptive parents’ disposition, they likely wouldn’t accept such a revelation. Their once-friendly teachers and classmates would surely feel the same. Their future, then, would undoubtedly be bleak. Perhaps ending it here wasn’t so bad after all.
Shen Jing’an’s thoughts were far less complex; she desperately wanted to live. As night descended, the unlit factory plunged into absolute darkness, so profound one couldn’t see their hand in front of their face.
This intensified her fear, prompting her to seek conversation. “Um, Xiaoduo, could you tell me more about yourself?”
“Haven’t I already told you everything?”
“Mm… I’d like to hear more details. For instance, what kind of person was your biological father? And your biological brother, why was he so harsh towards you?”
“Whatever you want…” Lin Duo was bored anyway, and utterly disheartened, so they recounted every story they could recall about their life.
Shen Jing’an listened in silence, then murmured, “Suddenly, I feel a little sorry for Wang Linshu. He liked you so much…”
“Yes, I wronged him,” Lin Duo said, lowering their head in dejection. “If someone dies unexpectedly, there’s usually an autopsy, isn’t there? I can’t imagine how heartbroken Wang Linshu would be if he knew the truth.”
For a moment, silence descended once more upon the vast, dark factory.
When Shen Jing’an’s voice finally broke the quiet, it carried a hint of shyness. “Um, I need to pee. I can’t hold it anymore. Please don’t peek!”
“It’s so dark in here, can I even see anything?”
“Mm… just turn your head away!”
“Alright, alright…” Lin Duo rolled over, facing away from Shen Jing’an in their memory of her position.
Shortly after, a trickling sound began. Shen Jing’an seemed much relieved, but quickly covered her nose. “It stinks! How are we supposed to sleep tonight? These kidnappers are truly inconsiderate, not even thinking about our physiological needs.”
“They’re planning to kill us, do they really need to consider that much?” Lin Duo couldn’t help but retort to their roommate. “Still, this factory is quite large. The smell should dissipate gradually.”
