Chapter 111: Side Story 7 – Rewarded for Waiting

Over the next few days, things turned out just as Wei Lan had guessed.

Lu Zijin did not contact her again.

Wei Lan could only go to her classes as usual, and in her free time, she carved jade at home.

But every time after finishing up, when she took out her phone to look, she still hadn’t received any message from Lu Zijin.

This feeling made her quite insecure.

Other couples in school wished they could stick together every single day after getting together.

But the way Sister treated her really left Wei Lan uncertain.

Yet she truly liked Lu Zijin a great deal.

Wei Lan sighed.

She could only wait.

Five days later, she received another WeChat message from Wei Ting.

Wei Lan eagerly opened her phone to look, and saw the following written:

[Miss Wei, hello.

CEO Lu will come pick you up today at 6:00 PM.

Are you at school or at home?]

Wei Lan hurriedly held her phone and tapped away.

[I’m at home.

I’ll wait for Sister downstairs then.]

[Okay Miss Wei.

See you this afternoon.]

Wei Lan stared blankly at the chat log on her phone.

If Lu Zijin didn’t contact her again, she felt that everything that had happened during this time was just her dreaming.

Sometimes she even doubted whether she and Lu Zijin really knew each other.

The way she was now, she really was like a plaything kept by a sugar mommy — Sister only remembered her when she needed her.

Thinking this, Wei Lan deflated like a punctured ball.

But still, Sister was the president of Lu Corporation, so how could she possibly be with someone like her?

Other than the pheromones Sister liked, she had nothing at all.

Wei Lan lay limply on the bed and rolled around.

But even so, she still really liked Lu Zijin.

Maybe Sister hadn’t seen her these past few days because she was too busy?

After all, a CEO type is always flying all over the world.

She should be understanding of Sister instead.

Wei Lan comforted herself for a while, and without Lu Zijin even needing to soothe her, she managed to cheer herself up all on her own.

In the afternoon, Wei Lan changed her clothes.

By 5:30, she was already waiting downstairs, looking around.

She really missed Lu Zijin.

She waited downstairs for half an hour.

At 6:00, that familiar big G-Class SUV indeed appeared by the roadside.

Wei Lan’s eyes lit up immediately.

She ran straight toward the car.

Sure enough, before she could even reach it, she saw the rear window roll down, and Lu Zijin was inside smiling at her.

Wei Lan quickly opened the car door and sat inside.

“Sister.”

“Mm.

Did you miss me?

I went on a business trip to another city and just got back the day before yesterday.”

As she spoke, Lu Zijin raised the partition and also closed the rear window properly.

Wei Lan’s eyes brightened.

So Sister had been away on a business trip, which was why she hadn’t reached out.

She immediately felt happy again.

That meant Sister must still like her at least a little.

Seeing that her little dog was happy, Lu Zijin’s own lips curved upward.

The business trip was real, but deliberately not seeing Wei Lan was also real.

Still, seeing that after so many days apart, her little dog would still obediently wag its tail upon seeing her, Lu Zijin’s mood became extremely good.

She crooked her finger at Wei Lan.

Wei Lan obediently moved closer to Lu Zijin’s side.

Lu Zijin was very pleased with the little dog’s docile appearance.

She leaned over and kissed Wei Lan’s cheek.

Then she rested her head against Wei Lan’s shoulder and deliberately pressed her lips close to Wei Lan’s ear.

“So good.

I prepared a gift for you.

We’ll go check it out when we get back.”

The warm breath Lu Zijin exhaled tickled Wei Lan’s ear.

Her heart also felt ticklish.

Sister really did care about her after all.

Even though they hadn’t seen each other for five days, Sister still thought about her and even prepared a gift.

Without Lu Zijin having to say much at all, Wei Lan had already mentally filled in the idea that Lu Zijin cared about her.

She had cheered herself up all on her own.

Before long, the car pulled up to the villa entrance.

Wei Lan followed Lu Zijin out of the car, and the two entered the villa together.

When she saw Zhang Ma, Wei Lan politely greeted her as well.

Zhang Ma laughed and responded, “Miss Wei is here.

Please have a seat.

I’ll go squeeze some juice for you and CEO Lu.”

With that, she headed to the kitchen.

But she sighed several times in a row.

Their CEO Lu was going to mess with Miss Wei again.

When she felt like it, she was good to the girl; when she couldn’t be bothered, she ignored her.

Miss Wei really had it pretty rough.

Of course, she didn’t dare show any of this.

Together with another servant, she squeezed some orange juice and brought it to the living room.

After that, Zhang Ma sent all the servants back to their rooms so as not to displease CEO Lu.

Seeing that everyone had left, Lu Zijin beckoned to Wei Lan.

“Come here.

Sit next to me.”

Wei Lan very obediently sat down beside Lu Zijin.

Her gaze kept resting on Lu Zijin.

They hadn’t seen each other for days, and she really missed Lu Zijin.

Lu Zijin naturally noticed the adoration in her little dog’s eyes.

She knew that even after giving her little dog the cold shoulder for five days, the little dog would still come bounding over with a wagging tail.

She reached out, picked up a glass of orange juice, and handed it to Wei Lan.
“Drink some orange juice first.”

“Thank you, Sister.”

Wei Lan took the orange juice and obediently thanked her.

Then she downed the entire glass in one go.

Lu Zijin’s eyes were full of amusement.

Her little dog was so cute even when drinking orange juice.

She herself took a few sips of orange juice, then set down the glass.

She leaned over, hooked her hand around the back of Wei Lan’s neck, and kissed her.

Because she had just drunk orange juice, Lu Zijin felt like her little dog had turned into an orange-flavored little dog.

But the thing that hadn’t changed was that her little dog was sweet and soft — in any case, very nice to kiss.

She held Wei Lan by the neck and kissed her until Wei Lan could barely breathe before pulling back slightly.

Just as expected, her little dog’s eyes were all wet again.

Lu Zijin couldn’t help herself and leaned over to kiss Wei Lan’s cheek again.

“So good.

Look at the gift I prepared for you.

Do you like it?”

“What gift?”

Wei Lan asked in a soft, breathless voice.

Lu Zijin smiled and pointed at the twelve boxes on the coffee table.

“Open them and you’ll see.”

“Okay.”

Wei Lan obediently picked up a few small boxes and opened them.

Inside were all little golden dogs.

Each little golden dog came with a gold chain, and each one looked different.

But they were all very cute regardless.

“Sister, why are they all little dogs?”

Lu Zijin leaned over and kissed Wei Lan’s lips.

“They’re all you.

From now on, wear one little dog each month.

This will be your little dog tag from now on.”

Lu Zijin casually picked up one of the tag, brushed Wei Lan’s hair aside, and fastened the dog tag around Wei Lan’s neck.

The tips of Wei Lan’s ears turned slightly red.

Was Sister claiming ownership here?

She was Sister’s little dog alone.

Lu Zijin reached out and played with the dog tag around Wei Lan’s neck.

Her little dog — from now on, she could only wear the tags she gave her.

“I knew it would look good on you.

Keep the other tags too, and remember to switch to a different one each month.

I will be checking. ”

“Okay.”

Wei Lan obediently agreed.

She liked Sister, so naturally she was willing to be Sister’s dog.

“So good.”

Lu Zijin leaned over and kissed Wei Lan’s lips again.

“Let’s go.

Time to shower.”

Wei Lan’s cheeks suddenly burned red.

After the shower, Sister would definitely suck on her again.

She obediently nodded and was led by Lu Zijin upstairs to the second floor.

Wei Lan still went to the next room to shower.

After more than ten minutes, Wei Lan had blow-dried her hair.

She looked in the mirror at the little dog on her neck, and a sweet smile appeared on her face.

She knew Sister still had her in her heart.

She had even specially bought her so many little dog necklaces.

Wei Lan happily reached up and fiddled with the little dog at her neck.

The little dog’s face wore a smile, and its tail was raised, as if it were playfully begging for attention from its owner.

Wei Lan’s ears turned red.

It really did look like her.

She also liked to act cute with Sister.

She played with the little dog for a while longer, then left the bathroom and went to Lu Zijin’s room across the hall.

Lu Zijin crooked her finger at her, and Wei Lan obediently walked to the bedside.

“Alright, time to take my little dog to sleep.”

As she spoke, Lu Zijin deliberately reached out and pulled on the gold chain around Wei Lan’s neck, as if she were pulling a dog.

Wei Lan’s ears red, she obediently let Lu Zijin pull her onto the bed.

Once on the bed, Wei Lan buried her red face in Lu Zijin’s arms and acted cute.

“Sister, I really missed you these past few days.”

She truly missed Lu Zijin.

These days she had been constantly feeling insecure, afraid that Lu Zijin wouldn’t want her, afraid that Lu Zijin had found other little dogs.

“Sister, could you please not get any other little dogs?

I’m willing to be Sister’s little dog forever.”

Wei Lan hugged Lu Zijin and whined cutely.

Lu Zijin’s lips curved upward.

She knew her little dog couldn’t leave her.

But Lu Zijin did not directly answer Wei Lan’s words.

After all, a little dog just needed to behave obediently — it didn’t have the right to negotiate terms with its owner.

“Lift your neck.

Let me check if you’ve been good these past few days.”

Lu Zijin’s voice cooled slightly, and her gaze fell on Wei Lan’s small swell.

Wei Lan felt a bit disappointed not hearing Lu Zijin’s response.

But she still obediently tilted her face up and exposed the small swell.

Lu Zijin reached out and pushed her down to lie on the bed, then leaned over and bit down.

Perhaps because she hadn’t sucked on the small swell for several days, Lu Zijin bit down a little harder this time.

Before long, the scent of fresh snow spilled out.

In no time, Wei Lan was crying profusely with tears in her eyes.

Only after she had played with the small swell until it was deflated did Lu Zijin stop.

Her little dog still tasted this good.

She looked up at Wei Lan and saw Wei Lan gazing back at her with tear-filled eyes.

For a rare moment, Lu Zijin’s conscience pricked her, and she leaned in to kiss her.

But with just that kiss, Wei Lan could barely breathe.

She sniffled and cried big teardrops, yet she couldn’t bear to push Lu Zijin away.

Seeing her little dog cry, Lu Zijin’s eyes darkened a bit.

The more her little dog cried, the more she wanted to bully her.

She leaned in again and deliberately bit the already flattened little swell.

Wei Lan trembled from the bite, and while crying, she softly begged, “Sister, don’t bite.

There’s nothing left.

It hurts.”

Only then did Lu Zijin pull back.

Seeing her little dog crying so delicately, she reached for a tissue and gently wiped Wei Lan’s tears.

“Shh, don’t cry.

My little dog is very obedient, isn’t she?”

“Mm.”

Wei Lan nodded obediently, still sniffling.

Lu Zijin smiled with satisfaction.

She knew her little dog couldn’t leave her owner.

No matter how the owner treated the little dog, as long as she beckoned, the little dog would come bounding over happily.

She leaned over again and gently kissed Wei Lan’s lips, then softly coaxed,

“Alright, no more teasing.

Sleep.”

“Okay.”

Wei Lan then tightened her arms around Lu Zijin and closed her eyes.

Many times, Wei Lan felt that being with Lu Zijin was like a dream — afraid that if she didn’t hold on tight enough, Lu Zijin would run away.

Lu Zijin naturally also felt how tightly Wei Lan was holding her.

She raised an eyebrow in satisfaction.

Her little dog really did like her too much — even after being toyed with like this, she was still so obedient.

Lu Zijin picked up her phone.

She secretly took a photo of Wei Lan’s sleeping face.

Her little dog looked pitiful, with tears still on her face.

Then she tapped away and posted a moment on her social feed.

[I bought twelve gold collars for my little dog.

She looks so good wearing them.]

Below, quite a few of her fair-weather friends were replying.

[?

Only you would buy so many collars for a dog.

And in gold?]

[Seriously, what kind of dog is this that you care so much?

I’m really curious.]

[I’m curious too.

When are you bringing her out for us to see?]

Lu Zijin sneered at the comments.

Her little dog was far too adorable to be seen by these fair-weather friends — that would risk her being stolen away.

But then again, her little dog was so good and liked her so much that she probably couldn’t be chased away even if she tried.

With that thought, she looked up again at Wei Lan.

Lu Zijin leaned over and kissed Wei Lan’s lips.

The little dog was too tired — she had already fallen asleep.
