Chapter 43: A Master’s Torment and a Disciple’s Trepidation

The only pity was that Xiaoxue had been called away by her mother. As Luo Bingli read the storybook, a wave of heat washed over her, followed by a pang of loneliness.

Before Luo Bingli could dwell on her feelings, a slightly deep voice echoed from beside her. “What did you just say about your master getting what she deserved?”

“Of course, it’s…” Luo Bingli was about to instinctively nod in agreement and offer her opinion when a chill suddenly spread throughout her entire body.

Her previously soft frame stiffened considerably. Slowly, she turned her head, only to find her master watching her with an amused expression.

However, compared to her usual self, her master appeared particularly listless, her cheeks flushed with an unknown feverish hue. This, combined with her naturally alluring charm, gave Liu Ruyan a uniquely captivating aura at that moment.

“M-Master… why… why aren’t you resting at home? What are you doing here?”

“Hmph, what’s wrong with this old woman coming to your place? In the past, you, little girl, used to come to me all the time, for no reason at all. Why, after growing up, do you start avoiding your master? I’m not some flood beast. Even if I am a wicked creature, could I truly lay a hand on my own disciple?” As she spoke, Liu Ruyan’s face was filled with disdain, as if Luo Bingli’s doubt in her character was an unforgivable sin.

Yet, upon hearing this, Luo Bingli’s lips twitched involuntarily, and she internally rolled her eyes so hard they nearly reached the heavens. ‘Just because you haven’t succeeded all these years doesn’t mean you haven’t thought about it,’ she mused. ‘Just the way you look at your disciples is enough to scare any ordinary one to death.’

“M-Master is right!” Luo Bingli replied honestly. After all, Luo Bingli sensed that her master was currently suffering from the most painful psychological trauma of her life. If she were to provoke her, this very spot might become the place where her master, that old monster, would strike.

“Hmph, alright, I’m done complaining to you. I…”

Before Liu Ruyan could finish, Luo Bingli saw an opportunity and immediately began to fawn. “Thank you, Master! I knew you were the best. Since you’ve forgiven your disciple, please hurry back and rest! Seeing you so exhausted, I imagine you must have been incredibly busy these past few days. If there’s anything, please find your disciple after you’ve recovered. Your disciple will certainly handle it perfectly for you.” As she spoke, she even grabbed her master’s arm, attempting to lead her out.

Liu Ruyan, however, would never agree.

She knew that over the past few days, more than thirty Immortal Maidens had experimented with newly developed techniques on her.

These new techniques varied in intensity, some even more terrifying than the initial ‘Nine Heavens of Ice and Fire’.

When applied to her, the extreme sensations instantly caused Liu Ruyan to faint countless times.

It was safe to say that in these few days, Liu Ruyan had fainted hundreds of times, though perhaps not a thousand.

If her room hadn’t been constantly cleaned, the liquid within would have long since overflowed.

This clearly illustrated the sheer horror of the situation.

Thus, after only a few days, Liu Ruyan could no longer endure it. Suddenly remembering something crucial, she managed to dismiss the Immortal Maidens who were about to continue their assault.

However, those damned women had only granted Liu Ruyan half a day of reprieve.

Furthermore, if those wretched women discovered that Liu Ruyan had deliberately escaped, she would likely have to suffer all the previous torment once more.

Initially, Liu Ruyan had planned to call the troublesome girl over and explain things clearly.

However, from the sound transmission talisman, Luo Bingli’s tone clearly indicated she didn’t want to come. Liu Ruyan suspected that by the time Luo Bingli decided to show up, she would coincidentally witness her master making a fool of herself in front of the other Immortal Maidens. Therefore, Liu Ruyan came directly to Luo Bingli’s place. Yet, this damnable disciple showed no concern for her master’s well-being and even told her to return to that demonic den. If not for a certain special reason, Liu Ruyan might have already taken care of Luo Bingli right then and there.

Indeed, if Liu Ruyan were to return now, there would be no time for rest. She would only face endless torment from those Immortal Maidens until she could only utter ‘Abba Abba’ before they would finally release her.

“If you dare to drive your master away again, I will absolutely show you why flowers are so red!” At this moment, Liu Ruyan’s aura was terrifying. Her seductive peach blossom eyes stared intently at Luo Bingli, as if daring her to try and expel her, promising the greatest punishment in history.

For a moment, Luo Bingli’s body stiffened, and she instantly became obedient. There was nothing she could do; her master was simply too much of a tyrant at home. Why couldn’t she be tough with those Immortal Maidens? Every time, she’d get lost in the initial moments, and once in bed, her little mouth would become as soft as marshmallow. ‘Why don’t you be as firm as you are now?’

As a result, things had come to this.

“Cough, cough, Master, please sit, please sit. Just tell me your demands directly. As long as it’s something I can do, your disciple will certainly help you,” Luo Bingli said, forcing a smile. She dared not push her master away again; she certainly didn’t want to get entangled with her master, that pervert.

After all, her master’s current state clearly indicated a mental issue. If her master truly took advantage of her, even as her disciple, she would be severely scarred, if not killed.

“Hmph, that’s more like it.” With that, Liu Ruyan secretly let out a sigh of relief and sat directly on the bed. Her heart relaxed a little, though not entirely. On the surface, Liu Ruyan showed no signs of abnormality.

Just as Luo Bingli wondered what her master was doing here, Liu Ruyan spoke first. “Oh, right, Ruyan, when you were little, your master arranged a few marriages for you. Although you are not part of my Liu family, a master is like a mother. Your master is still pure to this day, has never had a Dao companion, and has never given birth to a daughter. Since you are your master’s disciple, you are half a daughter, so after taking you in, I found a few marriage prospects for you.”

Upon hearing the first two sentences, Luo Bingli immediately rolled her eyes. ‘No way, Master,’ she thought. ‘You’ve been through so much with those Immortal Maidens; your body must have been thoroughly played with, and you’re telling me you’re still pure? Yes, you promiscuous bad woman, you don’t have a Dao companion, but there have been at least eighty, if not a hundred, Immortal Maidens who have been with you. You’re practically a high-quality public bus, and you’re telling me you’re still pure? Even if your physique allows you to fully recover to a maiden’s appearance, do you intend to erase what has happened? You’re utterly shameless, Master!’
