Join the ServerEver since that day, Jemin spent every waking hour searching for reactions to himself.
Unfortunately, nobody cared about a doomed idol group from a tiny, no-name agency.
People would much rather spend their time watching the lavish self-produced content from major entertainment companies.
[Title: Rookie Idol Group With Insane Visuals 👀]
Top left, clockwise: Jemin, James, Yoonbin, Eunhan
They’re rookies, but everyone’s visuals are already insane.
Especially Jemin?
He’s totally my type. 😭
Q2P might be a small company, but they seem surprisingly good at casting.
Only four members have been revealed so far, but apparently it’s a five-member group.
Can’t wait to see the last member of 4ever!
Their debut is just one week away.
Please show them lots of support!

Anonymous1: Lmao this is just viral marketing for a flop group.
When James’s teaser was released…
Nothing happened.
When Yoonbin’s teaser was released…
Nothing happened.
When Eunhan’s teaser was released…
Still nothing.
No matter how carefully Jemin wrote promotional posts to advertise the group himself, they rarely received more than two comments.
Anonymous2: These idiots should give up being idols and get a computer certification instead lol.
And at least one of those comments was always about how the group was doomed to fail.
Even when the hate wasn’t directed at him personally, Jemin felt his heart sink.
He quietly logged into one of his alternate accounts and left encouraging comments for the members.
Anonymous3: This group’s visuals are amazing~
Hope 4ever becomes successful!
↳ Anonymous4: Nice try. That’s definitely one of the members lol.
Stop commenting and go study for the civil service exam instead.
Jemin barely resisted the urge to start a keyboard war with the trolls.
People like them lived for attention.
If things ever reached court, they’d probably brag online:
“LOL I got into an argument with an idol and it turned out to actually be him.”
They were exactly the kind of people you weren’t supposed to engage with.
“If this keeps up…
aren’t we just heading toward an early disbandment?”
If failure was inevitable, maybe it would be better to stop clinging to false hope.
Work as an idol for a year…
then move on with life.
For someone whose debut was only days away, it was a surprisingly detached mindset.
No matter how pretty the wrapping paper was…
if it was transparent enough to see the contents inside, there wasn’t much point pretending.
The future looked bleak.

Teaser) Member Profile 5
https://q2p…com/profile/woohyung
There was a reason companies always included at least one member who already had some recognition before debut.
The moment Woohyung’s teaser was uploaded, people immediately recognized him.
“Jung Woohyung is debuting?”
It wasn’t an explosive reaction by industry standards.
But compared to the complete silence the other members had received…
the difference was enormous.
I thought he’d gone back to being a normal guy.
Why does everything look so cheap?
Jemin was relieved…
and simultaneously jealous enough to die.
Whenever the other members said things like—
“It’s thanks to Hyung.”
“Thanks to Woohyung…”
—Jemin had to resist the childish urge to cover his ears and scream.
“Hey…
what does ssip-top mean?”
Woohyung muttered to himself.
Jemin’s eyes widened.
“…What?”
When he turned around, Woohyung was staring directly at Jemin’s laptop.
Squinting suspiciously, he frowned.
“It doesn’t sound like a compliment.”
Jemin had been searching for reactions to Woohyung’s teaser and had forgotten to close the browser.
When Woohyung tried to shut the laptop, he accidentally pressed a key.
Unfortunately…
the very first search result was this.
@jungwoohyungisleft
Jung Woohyung is such a freaking top now.
K-pop better watch out lol.
Woohyung wasn’t someone who spent much time online.
Internet slang completely escaped him.
Jemin, on the other hand…
turned pale.
Of course he’d already seen that post.
At the time, he’d simply rolled his eyes and thought,
*”They’re even writing fanfiction about this guy?
People really have strong stomachs.”*
The real problem was that Woohyung himself had seen it.
This was entirely Jemin’s fault.
He hadn’t closed the search page.
He hadn’t cleared his search history.
He hadn’t even locked his laptop.
“What does it mean?
Why do you suddenly look like you’re about to die?”
Woohyung kept pressing him for an answer.
Jemin’s brain worked overtime.
There was no way he could cheerfully explain,
“Oh, it means people think you’d be the dominant one in a relationship with another guy.”
Didn’t Woohyung literally say he’d never tolerate sexual harassment directed at himself?
What if he actually sent legal notices over this?
Then those internet weirdos would proudly post:
“LOL I got sued by an idol for calling him a top.”
People would ask who it was.
They’d happily answer:
“Jung Woohyung from the five-member group 4ever.”
Jemin imagined every possible disaster before abruptly changing his expression.
“…Don’t you know English?
Top.
T-O-P.
It just means ‘the best.’
Seriously, you didn’t know that?”
Being treated like some out-of-touch old man irritated Woohyung.
“I don’t spend all day staring at my phone like you.”
Jemin clicked his tongue, pretending Woohyung was hopelessly behind the trends.
Meanwhile…
his fingers were already flying across the keyboard.

Hey~
Could you please censor your wording a little?
Annoying or not…
Jemin knew losing Woohyung’s existing fans would only hurt the group.
Woohyung hardly ever searched himself…
…but if he ever did, he’d be the most dangerous person to let see this stuff.
It was yet another one of Jemin’s desperate attempts to protect every single fan they had.
Still…
He already has fan accounts?
Compared to established artists, Woohyung’s numbers were tiny.
Even so…
his articles regularly received double-digit comments.
Compared to the other members…
whose comment counts rounded down to zero…
the gap felt enormous.
Jung Woohyung stood alone at the top.
Which meant one thing.
Within the group…
his popularity outranked Jemin’s.
No matter what happens…
I have to become more popular than Jung Woohyung.
Jemin’s eyes burned with determination.
@waitingforyouwh
Is Woohyung actually becoming an idol…
or is this some kind of cosplay group?
The album’s disastrous quality drove away even the few fans Woohyung already had.
This was exactly why people said not to stan groups from tiny agencies.
The makeup ignored everyone’s skin tone and personal color.
The styling looked painfully cheap.
The outfits were a complete disaster.

The bizarre “Sipjangsaeng” concept photos actually made a full round through online communities.
Whoever said negative comments were better than no comments at all had clearly never experienced this.
Faced with endless ridicule and criticism…
Jemin could already picture his own future.
It wasn’t as if they could rely on their performance to save them.
The song was bad.
The choreography was bad.
The outfits were bad.
Nothing worked.

Man…
At this point I don’t even feel like making fun of them anymore.
12:02 AM
Ironically…
once their ultra-low-budget music video was released…
the criticism started dying down.
People simply couldn’t bring themselves to mock them anymore.
Looking at the obvious lack of money…
everyone just felt sorry for them.
Instead of insults…
they started leaving words of encouragement.
Lee Malsook
They’re still so young…
It’s unfortunate things turned out this way.
But it’s never too late to start over.
I sincerely wish you luck in finding another career.

More frightening than any hate comment…
was this one.
Judging from her profile, Lee Malsook was probably around his mother’s age.
Does my mom think the same thing…?
As debut day drew closer…
and public opinion worsened…
Jemin’s heart grew colder.
“Hey.
What are you doing?”
The dorm was unusually tense.
Tomorrow was their debut.
Yet Jemin sat alone solving questions from a civil service exam workbook.
Walking into the room, Woohyung frowned.
“Isn’t it obvious?
I’m studying.”
“No.
I’m asking why you’re studying.
Your debut is tomorrow.”
Woohyung slammed the workbook shut.
What made it even funnier was that Jemin had skipped the basic textbook entirely and jumped straight into past exam papers.
Jemin brushed his hand away and reopened the book.
“Because I think we’re going to flop.
I’m preparing for the civil service exam.”
Woohyung burst out laughing.
It was the laugh of someone thinking,
“You finally figured that out?”
“All the hate’s going to land on me anyway.
Why are you the one losing your mind?”
He wasn’t wrong.
Whether it was insults…
or pity…
most of the comments centered on Woohyung.
Even when people talked about the entire group…
they rarely called them 4ever.
Instead, they called them—
‘Jung Woohyung’s group.’
Or simply—
‘Woohyung’s team.’

Did Jung Woohyung really leave Agency A…
for this? 😂
12:27 PM
Jemin wondered if Woohyung had read that comment.
Or perhaps he’d seen the viral post titled:
“Why You Should Never Quit Your Job in a Fit of Anger.jpg.”
The internet was full of people mocking Woohyung for leaving a major entertainment company.
His tiny handful of fans couldn’t possibly defend him against everyone.
For a moment…
Jemin actually felt sorry for him.
Then he remembered.
Woohyung wasn’t the type to obsessively search his own name.
“I thought you said you didn’t care about things like that.
Guess your mental strength isn’t as great as you pretend.”
“I don’t want to hear someone talking about mental strength…
when they’re studying for the civil service exam the day before their idol debut.”
Jemin glared at him before returning to his workbook.
Woohyung took a slow, deep breath.
He wanted to walk away…
but his pride wouldn’t let him.
Pointing at Jemin, he fired off what sounded somewhere between a curse and encouragement.
“I’ll say this much.
Our group becoming successful is more likely than you passing the civil service exam.
So stop studying.
You’re not smart enough for it.
Do you think those exams are a joke?
Do you think being an idol is a joke?”
Jemin bristled.
Woohyung had practically called him brainless.
If he’d always ranked near the bottom of his class, maybe he would’ve stayed quiet.
But he hadn’t.
He’d been an average student.
“Do you even know what my grades were?
I was actually a pretty diligent student.”
“So what?
Being diligent only gets you the ten-point attitude score.
What exactly are you planning to accomplish with that?”
Their voices gradually grew louder.
Finally, Yoonbin burst into the room.
“Can you two please just go to sleep tonight?
We have to go to the salon tomorrow.”
“But he started it!”
They pointed at each other simultaneously like elementary school kids.
“I seriously can’t tell whether you two get along… or absolutely hate each other.”
Shaking his head, Yoonbin quietly closed the door.
