Her stats had surged dramatically, yet her Spirit remained untouched, clearly indicating that [Crying Blood] was a skill that stripped away one’s rationality.
Indeed, Fiona had completely lost her mind, relentlessly assaulting Stark. Stark, who had initially intended to teach the axe-throwing uncle a lesson, suddenly found herself overwhelmed by the immense pressure.
She was forced to contend with Fiona, yet she found herself utterly crushed, barely surviving through a skill that rendered her immune to damage, completely incapable of retaliating.
Fiona, consumed by berserk fury, her eyes glowing blood-red, could no longer perceive those around her. The expansive attack range of [Blood Prison] meant that an uncontrolled Fiona was now impacting guild members, forcing even B-rank adventurers to retreat. Only the Branch Captain managed to withstand the collateral damage.
‘This was disastrous; if things continued, it would be akin to two immensely powerful monsters clashing in the heart of the city!’
Leaf Su felt compelled to intervene and halt this catastrophe, but that formidable opponent boasted 100% damage immunity. Even if he switched to his GM stats, he doubted he could eliminate such a monster.
Wait! A sudden flash of insight struck him; he felt as though he had been overlooking something crucial.
Realizing something vital, he promptly checked his own attribute list.
Leaf Su [GM lv.1][Novice lv.2]
Title: None
HP: 999/999
MP: 999/999
Attack: 999
Spirit: 999
Defense: 999
[SKILL]: [Innate Skill—GM Console]
His GM profession included a skill called Console. In many games, a console pop-up served as the interface for executing administrative commands. Could he, then, modify data directly here?
The situation was dire; he had to try. If all else failed, he would simply overwhelm the monster with his GM stats, forcibly restraining her to prevent any movement or destructive power.
Muttering to himself, he activated [Innate Skill—GM Console]. ‘Ugh… this feels so embarrassing, like I’m playing out some chuunibyou (TL Note: A Japanese term meaning ‘eighth-grade syndrome,’ referring to delusions of grandeur or fantasies common in early adolescence) fantasy.’
Immediately, a violet-red floating window materialized before Leaf Su. Unlike the previous blue window, this new one exuded a far more sophisticated and grand aura, adorned with a noble, high-class violet-red skin.
Several options appeared on the floating window. ‘Could it really be this convenient?’ Leaf Su thought, having expected to input lines of code or something similar.
He had imagined linking to a database, using ‘alter’ to modify fields. Yet, it was so user-friendly, even code was unnecessary. A definite thumbs-up! The UI looked comfortable, another thumbs-up!
It boasted numerous functions; truly, this was a cheat tool, wasn’t it? However, many sections were grayed out and unselectable, implying he had limited functions available, perhaps due to his GM level.
Only three options were available: Item Reshape (Random), Bug Analysis, and Bug Patch Generation.
‘Seriously, couldn’t a bug just be directly fixed, instead of needing an external patch?’
The moment the three options appeared, Leaf Su instantly grasped their intricacies. All usage details flooded his mind, effectively bypassing any need for a tutorial.
In a flash, he devised a plan to resolve the current crisis.
Step one: generate a bug patch. He could only do this because he knew the exact location of the bug; otherwise, analysis would be required.
The patch generated swiftly, seemingly correlating with his understanding of the bug. Given his experience, a small orb of light materialized in Leaf Su’s palm within three seconds. By infusing an attack with this orb and striking the bugged object, the bug could be repaired.
‘Indeed, a bug-level monster could only be defeated by a GM…’
He glanced back, witnessing the escalating battle between Fiona and Stark. Yet, the monster remained utterly unharmed, while the streets suffered continuous destruction.
It was time for step two: integrating the patch into an attack. His gaze fell upon the Withered Wood Staff that had been pushed in with him earlier, now lying by the doorway.
Attribute list expanded.
Withered Wood Staff lv.2
Grade: Excellent
Attack: 5
Spirit: -3
Weight: 10
Leaf Su ‘……’
‘You’re telling me this is a staff? And ‘Excellent’ grade? I’d say it’s closer to a club! Not to mention, its Spirit stat is negative…’
He immediately used Item Reshape, a GM skill that allowed him to alter an item’s attributes while keeping the total attribute points unchanged.
[Random Reshape Successful]
Withered Wood Staff lv.2
Grade: Excellent
Attack: -3
Spirit: 14
Weight: 1
‘Ah, yes, *this* is what a staff should be!’
